Chapter 2

On the first day I got home, Ivana and Edward wanted to give me a surprise. They told me they wanted to take good care of me, but one of them was wearing my dress while the other had his hand under her dress.

That was only the first day I was home.

When I realized Edward and Ivana were cheating right in front of me, I remained silent about it. I quietly turned on the surveillance cameras in the villa and pretended nothing was going on as I enjoyed their 'care' for me.

What I did not expect was the person who hurt me the most turned out to be my son, Evan.

He was Edward's son, indeed. They had the same taste in people. Evan not only helped to cover up for his father, but he even put sleeping pills into my milk and served it to me.

"Will Ivana always be my mom if I feed Mom this milk every day?"

I felt a chill down my spine when I heard Evan say those words while I stood hidden behind the door.

When Evan was born, I took care of him all on my own. It was because of him that I cut down my working hours and focused on my family instead.

Everything I gave him was the best. He had thousands of toys, and we went to the theme park whenever we had time. Everything he ate and used was the best.

Evan had a bad temper, but I had always patiently guided him until now. I never thought of hurting him even when he got mad and bit me until I bled.

Yet now…

"Have some milk, Mom."

He looked at me expectantly while holding the glass of drugged milk. He kept pushing me to drink it.

I was completely disappointed, but I pretended to be unaware of what he did and took a sip.

Evan left after that, happily bouncing away. He even gave me a reminder before he left the room, "Hurry up and finish the milk, Mom."

That was when I started to change my impression of this child. He was my biological son, but he was always nasty to me. He was even drugging me after I became 'blind' and would sometimes place small blades in my towel.

Whenever I disciplined him before, Edward used to berate me, saying that he was young and knew nothing. However, was that really true?

I could see disgust in Evan's eyes when he looked at me.

Children could never lie. Some children were indeed just immature, but some were born to be bad. I no longer wanted this son.

After coming to a decision, I spat out the milk. My eyes turned red as I watched Evan jump into Edward's and Ivana's arms. The smiles on Edward's and Ivana's faces hurt me deeply. However, the most chilling thing about this scene was what they said.

"She's just a blind woman. You never know when she'll die."

"I wouldn't have married her if she wasn't earning so much money."

"We'll be a family from now on. This is our home. Even Evan treats you like his mother…"

Both of them were caught up in their moment, looking as gleeful as ever. I witnessed all of it and proceeded to send the surveillance footage to my lawyer.

When I heard Ivana talking about wanting the villa, I could not help but laugh out of anger.

She was enamored with Edward's bragging and sold to the idea of having a wonderful life ahead after marrying him. Ivana had no idea that Edward had married into my family, the Lang family.

I began to look forward to how she would react when she found out the truth.
