Chapter 1

On the day the gauze was removed from my eyes, I joked that I was blind.

"Don't be afraid if you can't see. I'll take care of you my entire life."

My husband and best friend took care of me while I was in the hospital. They sincerely made that promise to me.

However, when we got home, all three of us were on the same bed.

My best friend rode on top of my husband breathlessly. They were caught up in their intimacy as they thought I could not see.

My best friend was worried I would suspect something and spoke up to eliminate any suspicion. "Uhh… Summer, I'm just giving your husband a massage."

I was so disgusted that I wanted to throw up, but I held myself back.

Once they were done, I was about to find an excuse to leave the room when my five-year-old suddenly ran in. "I miss you so much, Mom!"

Hearing that warmed my heart, and I opened my arms to hug him, but he ran past me and lay down next to my best friend instead.

The 'happy family of three' were all smiles and threw me looks of disgust.

I could no longer tolerate this.

When I called my lawyer, I told him to bring me the divorce papers.

If they wanted to become a family so badly, I would make their wish come true.

I just did not know if my best friend could afford to earn a decent enough income to take care of my useless husband and son.

"Umm… I hope you don't mind, Summer. Massaging requires some strength, so it's totally normal if we make some n-noise."

When I heard Ivana Garner speak, all I did was clench my teeth and say nothing. I gave her a reply and pretended to go back to sleep.

The bed shook as the three of us lay on the same bed. It was me, my husband, Edward Chalk, and my best friend, Ivana.

This was the third day I had returned home from the hospital. Ivana offered to 'help' take care of me after I informed everyone that I had become blind. She even offered to help give my husband 'massages' at night.

Their clothes were entangled on the ground as their undressed bodies moved under the covers. The atmosphere was steamy in bed.

How were they not afraid?

Well, it was only normal that they were not worried about anything because I was 'blind'.

I opened my eyes in the dark. It felt so disgusting that I wanted to throw up, but I pinched myself to hold it back.

They had no idea that I had just been joking when I claimed to be blind. They started to go about their filthy ways when they heard that I could not see.

Doing it while on the same bed as me just made things exciting for them.

Ivana would put on my jewelry that was worth millions while enjoying the luxurious spread of food in the villa. She would wear my branded clothes and use my bags too.

Even my son, whom I had taken pains to nurture and groom, would happily jump into her arms instead of throwing his usual tantrums at me.

While I was in a daze, I heard my son, Evan, call out for his mom. However, he was not asking for me; he was asking for Ivana.

"Yikes!"

I was thinking about this when I suddenly heard someone exclaim. The two were done in bed.

"Stop. I can't do it anymore. I'm exhausted!"

I could feel Ivana suddenly tremble behind me. She quickly came out from under the covers and announced daintily that the massage session was over.

Under the night light with my back against them, I could see her shadow on the ground. She was putting on her clothes while I remained silent.

"I'm going back to bed in my room. See you tomorrow, Summer."

Ivana walked out of the room with flushed cheeks while in her nightie. She beckoned at Edward while doing so.

I closed my eyes and continued to pretend to sleep. An hour later, Edward gently got out of bed from my side.

Once he opened the door and left, I took out my phone and read the message sent by my lawyer: [The divorce papers are prepared.]

A cold look appeared in my eyes as I recalled all the sensual moments that had happened at home while I was 'blind'. I looked around the room and sent my lawyer another message: [By the way, remember to bring over the divorce papers. I want Edward to leave this marriage with nothing.]

As for my son who betrayed me, I decided to make his wish of wanting Ivana to become his mom come true. He would get the new mother he wanted so much. I wondered if he would still smile happily once that happened.
