The Roommate Who Loved to Bare It All Chapter 1

My roommate had a strange obsession with taking cold showers on the balcony.

She claimed it helped detox her body and brightened her skin.

I warned her, “You should be more mindful of your privacy.”

However, she only laughed, accusing me of being jealous of her flawless figure.

Then, disaster struck. Her shower photos were leaked online, and soon after, thugs showed up at our door, demanding to humiliate her.

Instead of taking responsibility, she turned on me. “It’s her! She’s the shameless one showering on the balcony!”

Betrayed and defenseless, I was dragged into the woods and left to die, my life snuffed out in humiliation and pain.

But when I opened my eyes again, I was back on that fateful day—the day my roommate took her first cold shower on the balcony.

"Avis, could you grab my body wash? It’s on my desk. I'm busy showering; I can't go over to get it."

On the balcony, my roommate, Linda Lowe, was indulging in her cold shower, basking in the sunlight streaming through the windows. Our dorm wasn’t on a high floor, and anyone passing below could easily glance up to enjoy the view.

But Linda didn’t care. Far from it—she seemed to revel in it, swaying her body with exaggerated movements as though she couldn’t wait to flaunt herself.

The boys in the neighboring dormitory had a clear view, and some even took detours past our building just to sneak a better look.

Watching her shamelessly flaunting herself made my blood boil. I clenched my fists, trembling with anger, wishing I could end her smug display right then and there.

This scene was identical to what happened in my previous life.

Suppressing my fury, I reminded myself that now wasn’t the time to act. Killing her outright would be far too merciful. I wanted her to face the consequences of her actions, to reap what she had sown. Only then would I feel truly satisfied.

With a blank stare, I walked over to her desk and picked up the bottle of body wash. If she loved showering on the balcony so much, I’d let her stay there and enjoy it to the fullest.

In my past life, Linda had come across a post online claiming that cold showers followed by sunbathing could detoxify the body, brighten skin, and even give a healthy tan. She believed every word of it and started copying the routine immediately.

At first, she’d shower in the dorm’s first-floor bathroom, then wrap herself in a towel to sunbathe on the balcony. That was tolerable.

But later, she decided it was too much trouble to move back and forth, so she installed a makeshift shower on the balcony.

Her reasoning? It saved time and maximized the detox benefits of simultaneous showering and sunbathing.

Sunbathing, in itself, wasn’t unusual.

But our dorm was on the third floor, and the balcony was entirely transparent. Anyone passing by only had to glance up to see everything. Most people used their balconies to dry laundry.

However, Linda used hers to show herself off.

I worried she might attract the attention of someone dangerous, so I draped a towel over Linda and pulled her back into the dorm room.

I warned her gently, “This isn't safe. The balcony's completely exposed, and that could attract the wrong kind of attention.”

However, Linda responded with a cold laugh. She dismissed my concern entirely, seeming almost thrilled at the idea of being watched.

She yanked off the towel I had given her and snapped, “Why don’t they watch anyone else, huh? Only me? That proves I’m attractive! It's the 21st century. Are you seriously still worried about this? What are you, some ancient fossil from the Victorian era? So old-fashioned.”

Then, with a smirk, she added, “I think you’re just jealous that my figure is better than yours.”

Her ridiculous reasoning left me speechless. I could only let her continue her balcony showers.

Later, someone posted photos of her showering on the university’s confession wall. While her face was blurred, her private areas were captured in shocking detail.

The campus buzzed with gossip as students speculated about the identity of the girl in the pictures. Some crude boys even joked about buying microscopes so they could camp out beneath the dorm and get a better look.

The dormitory quickly became a spectacle, drawing male students from all over campus and even thugs from outside the school. It disrupted our lives to the point of chaos.

The situation infuriated the female students. Outraged by the invasion of privacy and the harassment, the women on campus banded together to demand action, submitting a petition in collective protest.
