When powerless, unfavoured Princess Soleia was arranged to marry the newly titled Duke Orion Elsher, she assumed they would find love eventually. Who knew that her father would send off her husband mere hours later to fight a war? Soleia was left alone to deal with an impoverished fief, a crumbling estate, and spiteful, vindictive relatives of the Duke who all wished to see her gone. She couldn't leave― there was nowhere else to go. Soleia desperately wanted her husband to return so he could offer her a helping hand. However, when he did, he returned with Elowyn, a woman he claimed was his true love. A woman hellbent on taking her place as the rightful Duchess, no matter what she had to do to get Soleia out of the way. Mistreated, misunderstood, and miserable, Soleia was eventually thrown out of the estate she helped build. Fortunately, when one door closes, another one opens. Unknown to Soleia, a man more powerful than her husband had been watching her, waiting for the right time to snatch her into his gilded cage. Duke Elsher had been foolish to let go― but the crown prince of Raxuvia wouldn't make the same mistake. *** [Excerpt] After two long years, Soleia's husband had finally returned home. But he was not alone. "Your Grace," Soleia said, trying her best to maintain a calm tone, "welcome home. How were your travels?" The man remained silent as he stared at her. "Oh," the woman that Soleia's husband had brought back said. "I was just wondering where the servants were. No one has come to greet you since your return. Could you please help us bring―" Orion tugged the woman back, protectively holding her in his embrace. His eyebrows furrowed as he glared at Soleia, his sudden action causing the woman to look confused at him. "Orion?" she asked, her hands on his chest to steady herself. "What's the matter?" "That's not a servant." In one swift motion, he threw the sword out at Soleia, only to be stopped by a flash of scarlet and the coppery scent of blood. *** Prequel to Stolen by the Rebel King.

The Hidden King's Stolen Wife Chapter 1

"I refuse." Everyone present in the throne room collectively sucked in a gasp of air through their teeth. Their eyes were wide as they stared at the audacious man, the newly titled Duke Orion Elsher. His bright red hair shone like a halo under the lights as he stood proud and tall before the king with an unwavering gaze. At that very moment, he seemed more like royalty than King Godwin despite his lack of noble blood. Meanwhile, Princess Soleia could only hide a grimace at her father's reaction. Her father also had red on him, but it was all over his face, making him look like a rowdy drunkard. "You―" "I will not marry Princess Soleia," Duke Elsher said once more, rudely cutting in before the king could say anything. "If I marry, I will marry for love." "General― I mean, Your Grace," the king's advisor, Aldous, said nervously. "With all due respect, this is a blessing offered by His Majesty. Princess Soleia is a fine young woman." "If she's as fine as you claim, then I am the one unworthy of her hand," Duke Elsher said without sparing her a second glance, his voice flat with disinterest. "I urge Your Majesty to reconsider." Princess Soleia stared at Duke Elsher with a faint look of hurt in her eyes. She wasn't as beautiful as her sisters, and her lack of magical ability was common knowledge, but it was still humiliating to be rejected without a second thought. Especially by a man who wasn't even born into nobility to begin with! Duke Orion Elsher was previously known as General Orion Elsher. Her father had granted him the title of Duke after General Elsher had slayed an incoming dragon protecting the kingdom's borders, but his lands were poor and remote, and his coffers were empty. Such a man should have jumped at the chance to marry a princess no matter how powerless, instead of rejecting the king's kind offer. If everyone had been shocked before, they would have been at their wit's end. Soleia's eyes darted to her father, who seemed two seconds away from executing the newly titled duke for his blatant disrespect. She had to stop that at all costs. If her father killed Duke Elsher, there would be no peace among the commoners. Soleia stepped forward and stood next to the duke. This close, she could feel the heat radiating off his body. She chanced a quick look at his face, her heart racing at the sharp line of his jaw. He was a very handsome man. It would be a shame if his head were to roll because of his impudence. Out of all the choices she had for a husband, he wasn't the worst. Besides, royal weddings took months of planning. She had time to savor her freedom. "Father, I'm sure the Duke is simply overwhelmed with your offer and spoke without thinking," Soleia said demurely, "Duke Elsher had been used to life at the border, giving his life to fight for this kingdom. Matrimony must not have crossed his mind, but I believe that he will be glad to embrace wedding life― if not for himself, then for his loved ones." She then turned and looked at him. "Isn't that right, Duke Elsher?" Orion Elsher's eyebrow twitched violently, and he gnashed his teeth as he turned to glare at Princess Soleia. Everything from her luminous skin to her blonde hair and sweet green eyes raised his hackles. This close, he could smell the sweet scent of her hair, enticing him to step closer. If they had met in other circumstances, he might have been tempted to court her. But she was the king's daughter, one of those spoiled princesses who did nothing but embroider all day while thousands were slogging outside the castle walls. She probably never suffered a single hardship in her life. This woman was simply a tool for her father to use, in a bid to keep him obedient. He would rather die than agree to be shackled to one for the rest of his life. He hated women like her― pretty dolls who were good for nothing but spitting out sweetly venomous words. And her words were venomous as they were polite. She had brought up his loved ones. While Orion had long been ready to walk into hell, he would never drag his family down with him. His ailing mother still wanted a cute grandchild to dote on, while his younger sister wanted to marry well. With that in mind, he could only give a sharp jerky nod of acquiescence. "I had misspoken earlier. I believe Princess Soleia would be an... adequate wife." Perhaps he would die before the royal wedding took place. Soleia also pasted a beatific smile on her face. Adequate. Such high praise from her future husband. King Godwin's face soon returned to its original color. "In that case, the wedding shall proceed immediately. We have wasted enough daylight. Summon the Holy Priest!" Soleia's eyes bugged out in surprise, and Orion was equally stunned. Both of them had not expected their marriage to happen so quickly. "Father? How could this be―!" Soleia exclaimed, but her words fell on deaf ears. She was forced to change into one of her sister's rejected wedding gowns, while her maid Lily frantically styled her hair. In no time at all, she was ushered to the church, and in front of her stood Duke Orion, clad in a new cloak. The Holy Priest began to speak. "We are gathered here today to witness the joining of hearts and minds..." Under the candlelight, Orion Elsher's harsh features almost looked softer, more tender. Perhaps this marriage wouldn't be awful, Soleia thought to herself. They had their entire lives to get to know each other. Maybe she could share some of her ideas with him... Lost in her musings, she failed to notice when the priest prompted her. "Princess Soleia? Princess Soleia? Do you wish to take Duke Orion Elsher as your husband?" "...Yes, I do," Soleia said hastily, the back of her ears burning with embarrassment, shooting her new husband a sheepish smile. Orion's eyebrow twitched with irritation. This princess was the one who pushed for the marriage, but she couldn't even pay attention to him during their blasted wedding ceremony! Meanwhile, uncaring of the couple's emerging turmoil, the guests erupted into boisterous cheers. Her father thudded his cane on the floor in approval. "And now I pronounce you man and wife. You may now kiss the bride." Soleia stepped forward. However, she subtly raised an eyebrow when she noticed that instead of matching her pace, Duke Elsher had stepped back instead. It was small enough a step to not be noticeable by those who were seated a distance away, but people who were near - such as the king - could clearly see him retreat as though she was a vicious beast. Some snickered, hidden behind their hands and fans, while others looked on with mockery in their eyes. Nevertheless, Soleia held her head tall. She took an even bigger step forward and cupped the back of the Duke's neck, bringing him down to her height while she stood on the tips of her toes. As he was stunned by her brazen actions, he was surprisingly easy to move, causing the newly wedded couple's lips to meet in a kiss. While Soleia wished some sparks flew between them much like her sisters had told her, there was none. Duke Elsher's lips were cold and unmoving. Quickly enough, Soleia felt a sharp prick on her lips, causing her to drop her hold on him and stumble back in pain. She touched her lips gently, withdrawing them to see that there was a small red stain on her fingertips. Blood. Orion Elsher had bit her!

Abandoned Heiress, Now His Mafia Bride

I was tracing the gold paint on my own tombstone when a hand tapped me on the shoulder. It was Clayton. The same man who, five years ago, had left me bleeding out in a ditch because he didn't want to be late for my sister's engagement party. "Die quietly, Ivy," he had said over the phone before hanging up. Now, standing over my grave, he dropped his cheap plastic flowers in shock. "Ivy? You're... we buried you." They hadn't buried me. They had buried an empty box to save face, mourning a "troubled" daughter they had actually discarded like broken trash the moment I became a liability. Clayton's shock quickly turned to that familiar, arrogant anger. He accused me of faking my death for attention. He told me I was sick for putting the family through such pain. He even reached out to grab my arm, intending to drag me back to my father to apologize. "You're coming with me," he spat. "You owe us an explanation." But he made a fatal mistake. He thought he was talking to Ivy Dillard, the soft girl who cried when she skinned her knees. He didn't notice the town car waiting at the curb, or the man stepping out of it. Before Clayton's fingers could graze my coat, a hand made of steel caught his wrist. Collin Richardson, the most feared Capo in Chicago, stepped between us. "Touch my wife again," Collin whispered, his voice promising violence. "And you lose the hand." I smiled at the terror draining the color from Clayton's face. I didn't come back from the dead to explain myself. I came back to bury them.
Awakening From A Toxic Billionaire Marriage

I woke up in a sterile hospital room, my head split open from a horrific car crash. But the pain in my skull was nothing compared to the memory burned into my retinas just before the impact: my billionaire husband, Dawson, walking into a luxury hotel with a woman who looked exactly like his dead first love. When Dawson finally arrived at the ward, there was no panic or relief in his eyes. He just coldly looked at my bloody bandages. "Your reckless driving just forced me to postpone the quarterly board meeting." Even our seven-year-old son, who I almost died giving birth to, didn't spare me a single glance. He kicked my hospital bed in annoyance. "The Wi-Fi here is garbage. You're a bad mom! Dad said Aunt Angelita should be the one living with us!" My blood turned to ice. For five years, I had bent over backward, wearing the hideous pale dresses he picked, starving myself to maintain a fragile figure, all to be a perfect, obedient substitute for a ghost. And this was what I got. An unfaithful husband who would rather bury me in debt than grant me a divorce, and a son who wished I was dead. The weak, subservient Charlene died on that wet asphalt. When the doctor pointed to Dawson and asked for his name, I looked at my husband with a hollow, defensive stare. "Who are you?" I whispered. Using retrograde amnesia as my shield, I was going to tear their perfect world apart.
Beauty In The Boy's Dorm

"What do you think people would say if they found out you don't have a dick?" Christian asked, his voice low and dripping with seduction. His hand pressed firmly against my crotch, fingers exploring the flat, unfamiliar emptiness there. A devilish smirk curved his lips. "Or if they discovered these voluptuous breasts you've been hiding so well?" A strangled moan slipped from my throat as his hand slid under my shirt, his fingers brushing over my hardened nipples, teasing them with slow, deliberate strokes. "Which do you think they'd call you?" he murmured, eyes gleaming. "A boy with tits... or a dickless little fraud?" I stared into his hungry blue eyes, words failing me. "The term you're looking for is 'girl,'" came Xavier's smooth voice from the bathroom doorway. He stepped inside, closing the door behind him with a soft click, his gaze raking over me with open interest. "So tell me, little girl... what the hell is someone like you doing in an all-boys dorm?" Christian's smirk widened. "She wants to be devoured by boys like us." His fingers gave my nipple one last firm pinch before he leaned in closer, breath hot against my ear. "And I'll be more than happy to give her a taste."
Between Ruin And Revenge: Her Regret
8.4
I worked three double shifts at the garage just to buy a velvet-boxed cake for my wealthy girlfriend, Arleen. But when I pushed open the VIP room door, I saw her lover kissing her bare leg. She didn't push him away. Instead, she laughed and swirled her martini. "I only forgot Finn because I knew he would stay. He is a poor boy from Queens who follows me around like a loyal dog." Later that night, her lover intentionally crashed a Porsche to scare me, sending a piece of jagged metal into my skull. Lying in a growing pool of my own blood, I watched Arleen crawl out of the wreckage. She didn't even look at me. She threw herself at her uninjured lover, screaming for a medic. "He just got scraped by a piece of plastic. He is faking it. Deal with Jaquez first!" When I woke up, I wasn't free. Arleen had locked me in a private hospital wing with 24-hour security, planning to isolate me and keep me as her broken, captive toy forever. My blind, pathetic devotion finally froze into absolute disgust. I looked at the heart monitor next to my bed and grabbed an IV needle. I severed the sensor wire to trigger a flatline, slipped out the fire stairs while the nurses panicked, and burned my identity to ashes. This time, I was going to disappear to London, build my own empire, and watch hers burn.
