Six Days to Abandon My Fated Alpha Novel Cover

Six Days to Abandon My Fated Alpha

Reina Lawson had been with Dean Willis, the Alpha of the Silver Moon Pack, for ten years. She had his favorite lavender scent etched into her memory, a permanent reminder of their bond. He had finally agreed to mark her as his Luna, yet he was secretly seeing an 18-year-old Delta warrior from the Crimson Fang Pack. In the days leading up to their marking ceremony, he indulged in this young wolf’s bucket list. He went on pack hunts, moonlit runs, and even traveled to the Howling Peaks to watch the Northern Lights with her. But he didn’t know Reina’s time was running out. She had booked a flight overseas, donated his entire fortune, and removed the lavender-scented charm he had gifted her. While he was counting down the days to their marking ceremony, she was planning her escape. --- On the day Reina was diagnosed with a rare and incurable wolf-borne disease, Dean’s young mistress, Alexia Knight, came to see her. "I know I’m the other she-wolf," Alexia said with unsettling honesty, biting her lip before continuing, "I know you’re about to be marked as his Luna, but—" "Alpha Dean doesn’t love you anymore." "I’ve been with him for a year.

Chapter 2

Reina stubbed out her cigarette, the faint scent of smoke mingling with the crisp night air. Across from her, the young woman sat, her youthful face still bright with the innocence of someone who hadn’t yet been hardened by the harsh realities of pack life. She was a Delta, a warrior from the Crimson Fang Pack, and from the moment Reina had laid eyes on her, she’d felt a pang of nostalgia for her own younger self—before the weight of being Luna-to-be had settled on her shoulders.

"You’re right about one thing," Reina said, her voice steady despite the sharp pain that lanced through her abdomen. She masked it by leaning casually on the table, her posture relaxed, as though the conversation didn’t affect her. "If Alpha Dean still loved me, you wouldn’t be here."

The girl flinched at the title, her eyes darting to the floor in a gesture of deference. It was instinctive, the way lower-ranking wolves responded to the mention of an Alpha’s title. Reina almost pitied her—almost.

Reina straightened, her gaze piercing. "But I’d advise you not to get too involved. Alpha Dean’s never truly loved either of us."

She paused, letting the words sink in. The girl’s hands twitched in her lap, her fingers curling into fists as if to steady herself. Reina continued, her tone softer now, almost regretful. "He only cherishes the memory of a young Reina—a pure, beautiful girl who vanished long ago while trying to help him succeed."

The girl’s eyes flicked up, a hint of defiance in them. "You’re lying," she said, though her voice lacked conviction.

Reina smiled faintly, though it didn’t reach her eyes. "In a few years, he’ll look for a fresh face, and you’ll end up worse off than me."

In reality, she was deceiving the girl. With her own time running out, she couldn’t be worse off than she already was. At most, the girl would be tossed aside once Alpha Dean lost interest, left to wander the ranks of the pack as just another forgotten Delta. But Reina didn’t say that. Let the girl hold on to her illusions for a little longer. Reality would find her soon enough.

The grand ballroom of the Silverwood packhouse glittered with crystal chandeliers and polished marble, a stark contrast to the darkness brewing in my heart. I stood at the entrance, my fingers nervously adjusting the strap of the silver sequined gown Ryan had demanded I wear. The fabric scratched against my skin, uncomfortable and restrictive—much like my life as Luna of this pack. "You'll wear this, and you'll smile," Ryan had ordered earlier, his Alpha tone leaving no room for argument. "The pack expects their Luna to look the part." Now, as we entered the Anniversary Gala, he didn't even glance my way. His hand rested on the small of Alaina's back instead, guiding her through the crowd as if she were his Luna, not me. "Sylvia, you look... interesting," Alaina said, her voice dripping with false sweetness as she passed me. Her emerald gown flowed effortlessly around her curves, custom-made to perfection. "I'm surprised you found something that could accommodate your...

After my mate’s betrayal, I found myself sifting through his old phone. There, buried deep in his messages, were conversations that revolved around another she-wolf’s name with every word. "Lulu, if not for the pack’s interests, Amelia Bennett wouldn’t hold my attention for a second." "Every encounter with her makes me sick; you’re the one I truly love." Reading these affectionate yet damning words made my heart feel as if it had turned to ash. When I blinked again, I found myself revisiting the day the Bennett and Harper packs arranged their union. This time, I chose to let go willingly and decided to mate Ayden Harper, Emmett’s aloof and proud uncle. --- In the grand hall of the Silver Moon Pack, my father, Gamma Bennett, suddenly stood from his seat, his broad frame towering over the room. "Lia, are you sure you want to mate the Alpha of the Red Claw Pack?" With firm resolve, I replied, "Yes, Father, I’m sure." After a long pause, he sighed, his strong jaw tightening. "Alright, if that’s your decision, I’ll inform Alpha Harper." Once Father left, Emmett burst into the hall, his presence commanding despite his rogue status. "Amelia, the pack healer said if Lulu doesn’t undergo surgery soon, she might not make it through the year." "When will you finally donate your bone marrow to her?" I looked at him coldly, memories of a past life flooding in. Back then, I had been manipulated into undergoing a bone marrow transplant.

The spiritual boar's heart was still warm under my blade when the kitchen doors slammed open. I didn't look up. My silver boning knife moved with practiced precision, separating membrane from muscle in one clean stroke. The scent of iron and wild sage filled the air—the signature of a beast that had fed on moonflowers in the northern territories. Three years working at the Moonlight Hotel had taught me to lose myself in the work, to find peace in the rhythm of the cut. "Well, well. Still playing butcher, I see." That voice. My hand stilled. Kendrick Perry stood in the doorway, his designer suit catching the fluorescent lights. Beside him, Angelina Scott held up her phone, the little red recording light blinking like a predator's eye.

The phone rang while I was cutting silver paper for Lyla's gifts. I knew it was him before I looked. Seven years of marriage teaches you the rhythm of a man's calls, even the ones that lie. I picked up and tucked the phone against my shoulder. "Amelie." Cullen's voice was tired in that careful way of his. "There's a problem at the northern border. Rogues. I can't make it back for the Solstice." I kept cutting. The scissors made a clean, even sound. "How many?" I asked.

Eight years into our mate bond, Gunnar had grown distant. He had appointed a young and beautiful Beta, Gemma Simmons. She didn’t care for the luxurious lifestyle of the Alpha’s inner circle; all she wanted was to wander the city streets with him, savoring the simplicity of life. She seemed too innocent for this world. It was clear Gunnar was enchanted by her. When I brought her up just once in conversation, he responded as if under attack, cautioning me, "Gemma and I are just packmates. Don’t use your tricks to ruin an innocent wolf’s life." At that moment, I finally understood—our bond was over. *** "Mom, did the mermaid princess and the prince live happily ever after once they defeated the wicked witch and got married?" Before bed, my pup Alaiya listened with her cheeks slightly puffed in frustration at the story’s abrupt conclusion. "Why do pack legends always end with the marking ceremony? They never say what happens afterward!" Holding the storybook, I hesitated slightly.
