Kidnapped By The Alpha Chapter 1

EMMA

"Emma, you have to say yes to marrying me. I thought we both wanted this? We already got our parents' approval so I don’t really understand what your hesitation is about.” Jake, my boyfriend said as he trapped my face in-between his palms to brush his lips slightly across mine.

To my understanding I love him, I felt like I do but marriage seemed like such a big step, it sounded far more serious than something I can just say yes to right off the bat. Why am I overthinking this anyway? Jake loves me, he shows me that everyday even though our relationship had been arranged by our parents.

He would never hurt me, that’s for sure so where the heck are these hesitations coming from? The first time he proposed, I had a solid excuse because we were still in college then but that has been over for months now and he’s asking me again.

Inhaling deeply, I stepped out of his embrace, breaking contact before he attempted to deepen the kiss. Pain flashed briefly across his eyes that tugged at my heart, I felt guilty for how much my hesitation seemed to be hurting him.

“You know I want a future with you Jake, more than anything but marriage is such a big step and—I don’t think I’m ready for it yet.” My words faded as his face set into an annoyed grimace.

“You’ve known me half your life, what’s scary about being married to me?” He inquired, folding his arms across his chest while also pinning me with a look that demanded an explanation. “You act like you’re marrying a stranger.”

“You’re not getting my point.” I let out a frustrated sigh, he never seemed to understand me despite having known each other for so long. I ran my fingers frustratingly into my hair, realizing that no matter how hard I tried to explain, I may never be able to get my point across to him.

His eyes followed the movement of my hand, a silent disapproval in his sharp brown eyes. He doesn’t like when I play with my hair, a habit I developed while I was younger. I let go of it, not wanting to listen to another lecture from him about how it isn’t demure for a girl to play with her hair.

“What’s your point?” He stepped closer to me, invading my personal space.

“You know how my Dad never lets me out of the bubble I grew up in, I was hoping for a little freedom to explore the world after college, I can’t do that if I’m married to you.”

He chuckled, grasping my hands. “Is that what you are so worried about? Being married doesn’t stop you from exploring the world Emma, we get to tour it together, isn’t that exciting?” He asked, his smile widening into a big one that immediately put me at ease.

“Well, guess I was worried about nothing then. I would love to tour the world with you Jake.” I leaned forward to kiss him but he already went down on one knee, a small ring box in his hand.

“Emma Dane, marry me.” I frowned at the statement, getting proposed to at a park wasn’t how I imagined my dream proposal nor was this how I imagined getting asked.

There was a long pause as he waited for my reply.

“Yes.” I whispered after a while, he immediately slips the ring into my finger and uncaring where we were or who was watching, he carries me and then spins me around, yelling she said yes! This caught a lot of people’s attention and soon clapping and cheering filled the air.

He put me back on my feet just as I got the strange sensation that I was being watched, I turned sharply around but saw no one. I glanced at my arms, at the goosebumps which confirmed that I didn’t imagine it. Jake soon noticed my puzzlement and gave me a puzzled look, probably thinking I was having an afterthought about the proposal.

Feeling like I had to assure him that wasn’t the case, I told him. “I just have this weird feeling that someone is watching me but it could just be my bodyguard though.” I quickly dismissed it, not wanting him to think otherwise and worry because then, Dad would hear about it and it would just put more locks on the prison cell I was trying to escape.

Our wedding happened a week later, everything was prepared and chosen for me down to my wedding dress. Our parents got a whole bunch of people involved in it that all I had to do was show up. I didn’t want to sound ungrateful or anything especially toward the people who clearly put a lot of effort into the extravagant wedding.

I didn’t like any of it, down to my wedding dress. Everything feels like it was for someone else and I was just filling in for them and you’d think it will take longer to plan something so elaborate but my Dad made sure it happened exactly when he wanted it to, which is in a week.

“You look the picture of a perfect bride.” My cousin remarked, letting down my veil. As my best friend and only friend as a matter of fact, she’s my maid of honor. That was the only part of my wedding I had the choice of choosing.

I forced a smile. “At least someone thinks so.”

“C’m on Emma, not everyone gets to marry their dream guy who happens to be drop dead gorgeous and filthy rich! You’ve hit the jackpot!” She replied, causing my smile to turn real.

A trumpet sound filled the air, indicating it was time to start making my way to the church. We were staying at a hotel close to the chapel so I wouldn't get stuck in traffic, Dad always treats everything like work so it isn’t much of a surprise that he would do the same for my wedding.

As we drove to church, I clutched my bouquet tightly due to nerves. I glanced at Katie, hoping she had any comforting words to offer.

“It’s okay to be nervous.” She whispered, which isn’t comforting in the least.

“How would you know? You’ve never been married.” I pointed out.

“Well, I just know stuff.” She shrugged, giving me a tight smile.

The car pulled to a stop and one of the bodyguards came forward to open the passenger door. I carefully came out with Katie’s help to find my Dad already waiting for me. A proud fatherly smile on his face, he rarely smiles and I was a bit relieved he decided to put one on today for me.

“You’ve made me proud.” That was a first too.

I wanted to hug him but instead I settled for putting my head briefly on his shoulder and as we started the walk down the aisle, I removed my head from his shoulder starting right ahead at my soon to be husband, who by the way looked dashing in an elegant black suit.

Just as Dad was giving me away to Jake, something drew my attention to the entrance and when I looked, a tall masculine man was making his way in. He looked so out of place, my lips parted unconsciously as I stared at him approaching the altar.

I couldn’t tear my eyes from him even though I wanted to, by now I wasn’t the only one who had taken notice of this dark handsome brooding stranger. People whispered among themselves as more men poured into the room, the closer he got to me, the wildly my heart beat as if it was trying to jump out of my chest.

His eyes held most of my attention, they were midnight black with a hint of blue in them, I have never seen eyes like his and they pull and push me in like a magnet. My body felt so electrified, I was so aware of him in a way that I haven’t been aware of anyone in my life including Jake.

Without words, he stopped directly in front of me, outstretching his hand in front of me. A silence gesture that seemed to compel me because in the following second, my hand moved.

“Who the fuck are you dude!” Jake's angry voice broke whatever spell I was under, causing me to immediately jerk my hand back.

“Jet.” There was something about his voice that made me flushed, the deep authoritative monotone sending signals down my body.

“What the fuck is your business here? If you’re here for the wedding then stay in the fucking audience!” Jake barked, looking slightly dangerous at that moment.

Both men glared at each other, a silent challenge between them. The tension in the air was so thick, it’s suffocating at this point so I decided to end it by asking the stranger. “You shouldn’t be here, guests stay in the audience.” I gestured toward the audience in case he missed it on his way in.

Shifting his attention from Jake back to mine, I watched his gaze soften. “Mine.”

‘MINE’ the word echoed in my mind as I froze there like a statue. This is all too confusing for me, the feeling this stranger aroused in me was more than curiosity and it’s freaking me out. Unmoved by my hesitation, he stepped forward but Jake was quicker, cutting in front of me and shielding me away from him.

Unimpressed by this, an animalistic sound seemed torn from his chest before he hit Jake across the chest. My mouth opened on a silent scream as Jake flew past the priest and crashed at the back of the altar.

”Anyone that tries to stop me from claiming what’s mine shall meet their end today!” The threat was followed by some piercing scream from the audience as they scattered towards the entrance.

From the corner of my eyes, I could see my parents taking several steps away from me, I looked around watching as people were emptied from the church including the freaking priest! No! I swallowed back the angry tears, glaring at the stranger I demanded angrily.

“What the hell is wrong with you!”

“You.” He replied, his full lips curving into a smirk.

Why am I looking at his lips? “You think this is funny?” I motioned around the empty hall.

“I do not care, you should be with me. You belong to me.” He answered, briefly dismissing me to look at one of his men. A moment of silence passed between them before he started walking away from me.

‘Come back here’ I wanted to scream, after what he just did, he didn’t get to walk away like nothing happened. I let out a startled scream as one of his men flung me over his shoulder and carried me out after him.

I looked back at my parents, at Jake for help but the stranger’s men were holding them back making me realize I was on my own. Oh my freaking God! I’m getting kidnapped! The realization made me scream louder!

The Inter-Pack Summit's grand hall glowed with ceremonial torches, casting dramatic shadows across the faces of the most powerful Alphas in the region. I stood at the entrance, my silver aura radiating outward in controlled waves—not a display of emotion, but a calculated reminder of the Silvermoon Pack's strength under my leadership. Marcus positioned himself precisely one step behind me and to my right, his presence a silent comfort through our private mind-link. *They're all watching for weakness,* he observed, his thoughts flowing into mine with familiar ease. *Then they'll find none,* I replied, scanning the room with measured indifference. Alpha Kaelen Blackwood approached first, his dark eyes evaluating me with the same predatory calculation I recognized in myself. "Alpha Victoria," he greeted, inclining his head just slightly enough to acknowledge my status without suggesting submission. "Your champion has brought considerable attention to the Silvermoon territory." "As intended," I replied coolly, the subtle tap of my index finger against my thigh the only outward sign of my strategic assessment. Ryan Mitchell had indeed brought attention—attention I had meticulously orchestrated over five years of investment. The rogue I'd salvaged from starvation had been molded into a weapon that now represented Silvermoon dominance in combat.

I tapped my pencil against the edge of my sketchpad, staring at the half-finished design for the ceremonial necklace I planned to surprise Marcus with for our fifth anniversary. The silver and moonstone piece would symbolize our enduring bond—five perfect years as Alpha and Luna of the Silverstone Pack. "What do you think, Lyra?" I whispered to my wolf, who purred contentedly in my mind. *Beautiful, like all your creations, Victoria.* My inner wolf had always been my greatest supporter, even before Marcus. I smiled, setting down my pencil and stretching my arms above my head. The afternoon sun streamed through the windows of our shared study, casting a warm glow over the polished oak desk. Marcus had left his tablet behind this morning in his rush to handle what he'd called an "urgent pack matter." I reached for it, thinking I could review some of the anniversary celebration plans we'd been discussing. We'd granted each other access to our devices years ago—a symbol of trust between mates. The screen lit up at my touch, revealing a messaging app I rarely used. A notification blinked insistently in the corner—from Amber Rodriguez, our new pack coordinator.

He Gave My Wedding Dress To His Secretary Novel Cover

The day before the wedding, the extravagant custom-made Victorian-style dress my husband ordered finally arrived. I gently touched my slightly rounded belly and asked him for a divorce. Colton's secretary called, her voice trembling as she explained, "Mrs. Carpenter, this is all my fault. I misunderstood your preferences. Please, don't blame Mr. Thompson." Colton's calming voice came through the phone, leaving me with just one sentence: "Don't regret this." I packed my things and left without a backward glance. After gathering my belongings, I was ready to leave, dragging my suitcase behind me, when I ran into Colton just coming home. He saw the suitcase in my hand and furrowed his brow, his voice cold and detached. "Mina, you're still upset?
My Alpha Chose My Sister Novel Cover

Five years. That was one thousand, eight hundred, and twenty-five days of waking up cold. Today was our anniversary. Not that anyone in the Blood Moon Pack would be celebrating. To them, this wasn't the day their Alpha and Luna were united; it was the day the "real" Luna ran away, and the spare was shoved into a white dress to stop a war. I sat at my vanity, the enchanted glass reflecting a face that looked too pale, too tired for twenty-one. My hand drifted up to my neck, hovering over the smooth, unmarked skin there. A dull, throbbing ache pulsed beneath my fingertips—mate sickness. It was a low-level hum of pain that never went away, the physical consequence of a bond that had been legally recognized but never sealed with a bite. "Happy anniversary, Leona," I whispered to the empty room.
