Showing Them a Good Time Chapter 1

I'm the heiress of an affluent family. The housekeeper's daughter secretly wears my gown prepared for my birthday party, and I'm about to teach her a lesson.

Suddenly, I see real-time comments.

"This female antagonist is just jealous that the female protagonist looks better in the gown than she does!"

"It's fine. The male protagonists are going to show up soon!"

"Let's hang on for a bit more. I'd like to see this antagonist continue being so snobby once her family goes bankrupt!"

In the next second, my brother and fiancé show up. They shield the housekeeper's daughter in their arms.

Sneering, I commanded the staff, "Strip all three of them."

Roxanne Lynch, the housekeeper's daughter, had stolen my ten-million-dollar gown and wore it to my birthday party. Just as I was about to get people to rip the gown off her, something that looked like a holographic screen filled with real-time comments appeared before my eyes.

"The female antagonist is just jealous that the female protagonist looks better in that gown than she does!"

"She looks down on others just because she's rich! Let's see if she can still be this arrogant once the male protagonists force her into bankruptcy and break her legs!"

In next to no time, my own brother and fiancé came to Roxanne's defense. Shielding her protectively, they rebuked me harshly, saying, "All you lost was a dress, but you're making her lose her dignity! How can you bully someone like that?"

Sneering, I commanded the staff, "Strip all three of them."

I was going to prove to them what bullying actually looked like!

"It's just a gown, Violet! What's the big deal about letting Roxanne wear it? Must you be this harsh? Don't think you'll catch my attention by bullying her. I'm telling you right now. Even if you had this gown on, you wouldn't even be able to hold a candle to her!"

The loud, garish voice made my head hurt.

Frowning, I looked at the man and woman standing in front of me—Benjamin Hall and Roxanne Lynch. One was my fiancé, while the other was the daughter of my family's housekeeper, Martha Baxter.

They were all wrapped up in each other's arms, making it seem like I was the villainous monster who was trying to separate a loving couple.

The gown Benjamin spoke of was the one I paid a designer millions to get custom-made specifically for my birthday celebration.

It went without saying that Roxanne knew how much that gown meant to me. More than once, she said to me, "Aren't we friends, Violet? You have plenty of beautiful gowns anyway. Why can't you give me this one?"

After I had rejected her once again, she volunteered to tidy up the room where I kept the gown. However, she secretly put on my gown when no one was looking and even showed up at my birthday celebration, where she stood with Benjamin.

As their outfits were the same color, they looked like a couple who had matched outfits.

When I found out about this, I marched up to Roxanne to settle the score with her, but Benjamin shielded Roxanne behind him and started rebuking me, calling me petty.

Sneering, I was just about to retort when I saw a steady stream of comments appearing out of thin air before my very eyes.

"Sorry I'm late! Is this the female antagonist? She's not pretty at all. In fact, she comes across as gaudy and tasteless!"

"How dare she say that our sweet Roxanne isn't worthy of wearing this gown? She's the female protagonist! Who else is more worthy than her? It's just a lousy piece of garment. Only an uncultured upstart like Violet could care about it. She's just jealous that the gown looks better on Roxanne!"

"It doesn't matter. Benjamin's here, and Roxanne's second love interest will be arriving soon enough! They'll be sure to teach that wicked Violet a lesson!"

"Just wait a bit more. She won't be able to be this arrogant for long. Soon, the female antagonist will go bankrupt and get her legs broken. She'll be homeless and forced to beg on the streets. In the end, she'll get violated by a bunch of thugs and take her own life."

"She thinks she can push others around just because she's rich! I hate rich people like her!"

While I was reading the comments, Benjamin mistook my silence for a guilty conscience. He lifted his head and arrogantly declared, "I've told you countless times, Violet. Even though you're using the marriage agreement to force me to be with you, you won't be able to win my heart!"

Then, he turned to Roxanne, who hid behind him like an innocent lamb. His gaze softened as he looked at her.

"Give her this gown, and I'll forgive you!" he commanded imperiously.

I couldn't resist snorting out loud. I had just finished processing the situation. Were the comments supposed to be laying out my future?

Even if I had been kicked to the ground and thrown into the pits of hell, I would crawl back up to seek vengeance on those who wronged me. I would never take my life so easily.

After beckoning our family butler, Louis Chapman, I said, "To take something without seeking permission first is equivalent to stealing. I dare say this thief is rather bold in even stealing from us, the Wrights.

"Go and check the security cameras. Make sure the thief is caught before my birthday celebration officially begins. My guests deserve to know the truth."

Louis left with the bodyguards, while the floating comments flew in faster than ever.

"What the hell? How dare she call our sweet Roxanne a thief? She had simply never seen such a pretty gown before! What's the big deal about her trying it on?"

"I know, right? Isn't Violet Wright supposed to be the daughter of the richest family in town? Why is she making such a big fuss over a simple gown? She's so petty!"

"Hah! She thinks she can do anything she wants just because she's the Wrights' daughter. Just you wait. Once Jerome Wright, Roxanne's second love interest, shows up, she'll be forced to get on her knees and grovel!

"A daughter is nowhere near as important as the son who will inherit the family fortune! Violet, the evil side character, won't be getting her way. She should just hurry up and die!"
