She Stole My Brain Chapter 1

I had been the top student the school recruited with a full scholarship, while my younger sister, Chloe Stevens, had gotten in through money despite being a poor performer.

In my past life, during the college entrance exams, Chloe, who had always ranked at the bottom, suddenly made a miraculous turnaround and got into Royalton College, just like I did.

Right after that, she marched straight to the admissions office and reported me, claiming that I had copied all my answers from her.

That was impossible. I had a score above 1480 on every single test. The admissions office and teachers did not believe her either.

Then, Chloe accused me of using some kind of black magic, saying that whatever answer she wrote down, I would somehow know and copy it.

The admissions office made us retake the exam, and somehow every single one of our answers came out identical. I could not defend myself, got arrested by the police, and spent the rest of my life rotting in prison.

After being reborn, I studied harder than ever and secured an early admission to Royalton College.

Now, sitting in the exam room, I deliberately scored zero on every single test. I wanted to see just how many points Chloe could get without me.

I woke up to the noisy chatter of the classroom, rubbing my eyes to see something written on the blackboard: [100 Days Until Finals].

I was shocked, wondering if I had actually been reborn. I looked around and noticed everyone was staring at their report cards.

Someone exclaimed, "Could Chloe Stevens actually be a genius? Her grades improved so quickly in just a few days!"

"This time, Chloe and Sienna Stevens are tied for first place in the whole school! That's not just improvement; that's like her taking a rocket ship to the top!"

Another chimed in, saying, "Exactly! How did she do it? How did she suddenly get this good?

"Sienna's her older sister... There's no way she copied her answers, right?"

...

Chloe glanced at the person who suggested she had cheated, then looked over at me.

She raised her head proudly and said, "Oh, please, I'm just good at pacing myself. Sienna works so hard, and I don't want to crush her motivation, so I've been hiding my true abilities this whole time. But now that we're at the mock exams, of course, I have to show my true level."

Right then, our homeroom teacher clapped her hands to get everyone's attention. "Settle down, everyone. Chloe's rapid improvement shows she's been working hard, so instead of just being jealous, you should all try to follow her example!"

The other students quieted down and went back to studying. However, my mind was anything but calm.

In my past life, after the college entrance exam scores came out, Chloe's grades had skyrocketed, and she had scored the same as I did to get into Royalton College. I had been happy for her at the time, but then she immediately turned around and reported me to the admissions office, claiming I had cheated off her.

I was not the only one stunned by the claim. The teachers and the admissions office were equally taken aback, too.

We had not even been in the same room for the test, so there was no way I could have cheated.

Later, Chloe requested that the admissions office compare both our test papers. Sure enough, every single answer on every single subject was identical.

The situation blew up, and the media went into a frenzy, reporting that someone had dared to cheat on such an important exam.

To be absolutely certain, the College Board had us retake the entire exam with new test papers. Once again, every answer came out identical.

With no way to defend myself, I was arrested and sent to prison. I begged my parents to save me, to help me find the truth. Instead, they called me rotten to the core and said they were cutting me off for good.

They threw Chloe a huge graduation party while my life fell apart. That was when it finally hit me: if Chloe's grades were really that good, she never would have needed to buy her way into our school in the first place.

However, I could not figure out how she had pulled it off.

My parents had always favored Chloe, and it was only right before the college entrance exam that their attitude toward me suddenly changed, showering me with all the best food and care.

I had been so touched at the time, but looking back, it all had to be connected somehow.

I hated them, and I could not let it go, so in the end, I took my life in prison.

Since fate had given me a second chance, I swore I would make sure Chloe paid for everything she had done.
