OWNED IN THE DARK Chapter 1

CIARA If I had walked away the first time, none of this would be happening. But I don't. And now I'm standing here, trapped in something I no longer want. "You petty, pretentious bastard. You don't get to do this to me," I snarl. "I'm done. We're done. Marry her for all I care, but I'm moving on with my life." He laughs softly, the sound low and mocking, his eyes meeting mine through the mirror. My back is pressed against his chest, his grip firm on my waist. "It's way too late now to think of walking away, little Ciara..." he murmurs against my ear. "You had years to walk away but the moment my cock got inside you, your fate was sealed. You don't ever get to walk away from us in this lifetime or the one afterwards. I've tasted you, and I'm never letting you go." My stomach twists. I try to remove his hands from my waist as it feels like some hot scorch burning through the fabric I'm wearing. "Dream on Mathew, I snap, my chest rising and falling sharply. "I made a lapse in judgement but it is not too late...I want out." "There's never an out between us Ciara, the earlier you get used to it, the better for you." I try to come up with an argument, but my phone rings. I check the caller, and it's his sister Calista. I pick up. "Hello?" "Where are you Ciara? I've looked everywhere for you but I can't find you." I clear my throat. "Just in the bathroom, I'll be right outside." "Bathroom? Good.. Tony's on his way to you, he's been very worried about you. You picked a good one, honey. I totally support you choosing him. You should see him now." Before I'm able to come up with a response, she hangs up giggling. Then I heard him call my name outside the ladies room "Ciara? Babe are you good?" I go completely still as Mathew suddenly pulls me even closer to himself and palms my right breast. I struggle to stifle a moan but he refuses to have it as I look up at the mirror in fright to see him smirking. Mathew is a jerk. And when he smirks it's because he's about to start shit up. I quickly answer Tony. "Hey Tony...I'm in the ladies I'd be out soon..." Mathew being the devil he is at that moment tweaks my nipple bud and a moan slips out of my mouth. "Are you okay Ciara?" I try to answer Tony but I can't even manage a coherent thought as he slips his hands through the slit of my dress and presses into my clit while clamping and tweaking on my nipple bud harshly as pleasure takes over my senses completely This is not fair, he shouldn't get to do this when he's practically getting engaged to another woman. I try to bring myself back from the brink of pleasure to snap out of it and push him away but no...my body fails me as I find myself nudging at the bulge in his pant suit, moving my hips in hopes of getting a friction around him. He grunts. Tony is saying something yet I hear nothing as I feel Matthew unzip himself and slam into me. I cover my mouth quickly to avoid moaning, then I exhale. "Stop Mathew...I'm not on the pill and you have no protection." He thrusts back in and out sharply. "Having your stomach swell with my child will do me such pleasure," he whisper. He licks my ear while I stare at him through the mirror. "This is wrong Mathew." He bruises my waist with his fingers. "What's wrong Ciara is you thinking I'd let you walk off into the sunset with some punkass after loving you for three years." His thrusts becomes even more urgent as I become a complete mess. He continued. "What's wrong is you ever even imagining that I'd let you go." I try so hard to stop him, Lord knows I tried yet it yields to nothing as he ignores me completely and simply hastens his thrusts. "Your body is mine, your kisses are mine, everything about you is mine absolutely mine," he grunts. My entire body suddenly pulses with electric urgency as I feel an orgasm coming up. Every protest in me at the moment dies out as he continues fucking my senses out of me as tears of frustration and pleasure attacks me. I clamp my mouth shut to avoid screaming out in pleasure so Tony doesn't hear me. "Fuck...you feel so good and tight Ciara. I was your first and I'd be your last." His hand remained on my waist as he completely ignores my cautions, getting vocal about the pleasures he feels "The world be damned Ciara...you are never leaving me." He grunts as he cums at the same time I do, riding out his orgasm high, totally disregarding poor Tony at the other side of the door. I push him away. Without hesitation, I slap him hard. But he simply smiles. I look away, trying to fix and make myself presentable. "Hey Tony...I'd be right outside." Before I can make an attempt to leave, he moves closer to me, staring at me with a look of regret. "I love you Ciara...I'd never marry her," he says. "But there's so much going on that you have no idea of so, please stop allowing any man into your space. It drives me completely crazy." He kisses my forehead. I scoff as I fix my appearance, disentangling myself from him. He tries to go out but I push him backwards and made my way outside. I find a very concerned looking Tony who has stayed outside no less than thirty minutes worried about me. I walk toward him, enveloped in guilt. "Hey, Tony. " He quickly checks me over. "Are you okay?" I exhale shakily and smile. Together, we join the engagement party. Throughout the night, Matthew's eyes remain on me irrespective of his fiancée beside him.

Betrayed Heiress: A Storm Awakened Within
8.3
I was the long-lost Donovan heiress, finally brought home after a childhood in foster care. My parents adored me, my husband cherished me, and the woman who tried to ruin my life, Kiera Reese, was locked away in a mental facility. I was safe. I was loved. On my birthday, I decided to surprise my husband, Ivan, at his office. But he wasn't there. I found him at a private art gallery across town. He was with Kiera. She wasn't in a facility. She was radiant, laughing as she stood beside my husband and their five-year-old son. I watched through the glass as Ivan kissed her, a familiar, loving gesture he’d used with me just that morning. I crept closer and overheard them. My birthday wish to go to the amusement park had been denied because he’d already promised the entire park to their son—whose birthday was the same day as mine. "She’s so grateful to have a family, she’d believe anything we tell her," Ivan said, his voice laced with a cruelty that stole my breath. "It's almost sad." My entire reality—my loving parents who funded this secret life, my devoted husband—was a five-year lie. I was just the fool they kept on stage. My phone buzzed. It was a text from Ivan, sent while he stood with his real family. "Just got out of the meeting. So exhausting. I miss you." The casual lie was the final blow. They thought I was a pathetic, grateful orphan they could control. They were about to find out just how wrong they were.

Cold, powerful, and impossible to read, Lucas slowly finds himself drawn to the woman who brightens his son's world. What begins as a simple act of kindness soon turns into something far more complicated, because Nina came back for revenge. She never planned to fall in love. ********** "I saw you with him," Lucas said quietly, but the tension in his jaw gave him away. Nina exhaled, crossing her arms. "You don't get to care." "Don't I?" He stepped in, close enough that she had to tilt her head back to meet his eyes. "This is just a contract." "Then why does it bother me?" His hand hovered near her waist, not touching-yet. "It shouldn't." Her breath faltered. His gaze darkened, "And yet it does."
His Mark Of Shame, Her Awakening
7.3
Ten years ago, I was banished from my pack, branded a whore and a traitor for allegedly drugging and stealing my sister's fated mate. Now, I was summoned back because my father, the Alpha who disowned me, was dying from a poisoned attack. Standing by his deathbed, a locked memory finally surfaced—I didn't drug anyone. My husband and I were both victims, poisoned with wolfsbane to force our mating. But before my father could reveal who orchestrated the setup, his heart monitor flatlined. My brother instantly shoved me to the ground, pointing a trembling finger at my face. "You killed him. I will hunt you, I will break you, and I will make your life a living hell." Even my husband, Kieran, the man I was forced to marry to save our unborn child, walked right past me in the hospital corridor. He didn't spare me a single glance, choosing instead to gently comfort my mother while I sat bruised and shattered on the cold floor. I didn't understand why my own family hated me so blindly, and I understood even less who had framed me a decade ago. What terrified my father so much in his final moments that he couldn't even speak the culprit's name? Watching my cold husband walk away with the family that abandoned me, the last shred of my naive hope died. I wiped my tears and stood up. This time, I was going to tear this pack apart to find the truth.
Reborn Mother: The Billionaire's Ruthless Bride
7.9
In my past life, I was the naive surrogate who fell desperately in love with Karson King, an untouchable Wall Street billionaire. I thought my blind devotion would earn me a place in his family. Instead, his cruel mother forced me to sign away my parental rights to my three-year-old daughter. I was locked in a dark, freezing basement. I watched helplessly as his arrogant relatives tormented my child, pushing her down a flight of marble stairs and shattering her tiny arm. When we finally died in a horrific car crash, my face covered in blood amidst the shattered glass, Karson didn't shed a single tear. To him, my death was just the convenient erasure of a cheap mistake. I sacrificed my dignity for his approval, but they treated us worse than stray dogs. Why did my innocent daughter have to pay the ultimate price for their ruthless arrogance? Opening my eyes again, the harsh glare of a massive crystal chandelier pierced my vision. I was back in the grand foyer of the King estate, exactly five years ago. "Sign it. You are nothing but a gold digger." My soon-to-be mother-in-law slammed the thick legal contract onto the marble table, demanding I give up my daughter. This time, the paralyzing fear evaporated, replaced by absolute, icy clarity. I didn't cower. I picked up the pen, looked right at the billionaire who despised me, and prepared to manipulate his entire empire.
Save That Evil Billionaire And Her Stepson
8.5
Aileen transmigrated into a dark, unfinished novel as the villainous, abusive wife of a powerful billionaire. The moment she opened her eyes, her husband's calloused hand was crushing her throat, and her six-year-old stepson was pointing a box cutter at her face, screaming for her to die. A cold system voice suddenly exploded in her brain, forcing a mandatory mission: save the villainous father and son, or face immediate death. To survive the system's strict Out-Of-Character warnings, Aileen had to keep playing the role of the deranged, hateful wife. She was despised by everyone. Her husband threatened to drag her to an asylum, and her terrified stepson scrubbed the floor with his own pajamas just to avoid her wrath. Things escalated when the novel's original female lead publicly framed Aileen in Central Park, throwing herself onto the grass and clutching her pregnant belly. "She pushed me. She tried to hurt the baby!" Archer rushed over, shoved Aileen aside with absolute disgust, and looked at her with the eyes of a murderer. Aileen felt a bitter wave of exhaustion. She had discovered the original owner's hidden antipsychotic pills; the woman wasn't just evil, she was severely mentally ill and completely broken by this loveless marriage. Yet, no one cared, and her husband would always choose to believe his childhood sweetheart's fake tears. Since everyone in this world was convinced she was an unpredictable lunatic, she decided to give them exactly what they expected. Aileen turned her back on the ridiculous scene, a cold smile forming on her lips. She was going to stage a massive, undeniable psychological breakdown, using her "insanity" as the perfect shield to play the system and rewrite her fate.
The Brilliant Pathologist And Her Stoic Cop
7.2
Dr. Kylee Mcdonald was a brilliant medical examiner whose life was defined by cold, mechanical precision. But that perfect control shattered when her phone rang in the middle of an autopsy. It was her best friend, Dana, whispering their old college distress code. "Curtain call." By the time Kylee and Detective Justice kicked down Dana's door, she lay dead on her couch, her skin a horrifying cherry-red from cyanide. The crime scene was clumsily staged to frame a billionaire suitor, but soon, every single suspect linked to Dana turned up violently dead. Internal Affairs pointed the finger at Kylee, accusing her of using her medical expertise to become a vigilante serial killer. But the encrypted truth Kylee uncovered was far more chilling. Dana had been severely abused by her boyfriend, and driven to the edge, she manipulated him into murdering their tormentors before executing him and taking her own life. To avoid a public scandal, the police chief buried Dana's brilliant, terrifying manifesto. Kylee's flawless mind short-circuited. She was a genius at reading the dead, so why had she been completely blind to the living hell her best friend endured right in front of her? Three days later, while attending a formal gala to numb her grief, a nearby apartment building exploded in flames. As Kylee examined the charred bodies pulled from the rubble, she realized the male victim was strangled long before the fire started. She looked at the surviving mother, whose baby had just died in the blast, but the woman's eyes were completely, terrifyingly empty. The alarm bells in Kylee's meticulously ordered brain began to chime, signaling that a new, deadly script had just begun.
