One Night, Now He Wants Me. Chapter 1

Chapter one. Iris pov. My best friend was fucking my fiancee in reverse cowgirl position. That was the scene my eyes caught first, as I peered through the open space before me. They had forgotten to shut the door properly in the heat of the moment. "Oh, yes!!!!" Lena moaned out loud for my man. "You are my slut baby." Mike said to her. "Fuck me like I'm your master." She got off him and positioned herself in doggy style, as she muttered. "Yes daddy." Mike had lust written all over his face, I knew that look. Without even thinking of me, they began another round of pleasure. It felt like I was stuck to the ground, I could not move my legs or my eyes. This could not be happening, it was barely two months to our wedding. Something snapped inside me pulling me back to reality, to the disgusting scene I was watching. A tear escaped my eyes as I turned around, clutching my chest. The pain was too much for me and with every step I took in the opposite direction of his house, it grew worse. I booked a ride to my house and cried all the way. The driver looked worried but did not ask any questions, I was thankful on the inside for that. When I got home, I quickly wiped my eyes because there was someone in my house. I could tell from the footwear at the entrance. "What are you doing here mom?" I asked in surprise, when I saw my mother. My voice was a bit shaky from all that crying but I struggled to steady it. She looked at me for a while. "I wanted to drop off some side dishes for you." "Oh." "Are you okay?" She asked as she looked at my face closely. "Your makeup looks smudged, you should reapply setting powder." I forced a loud laugh. "Alright, my makeup artist. I am on it." After dropping the bags I was holding on the floor, I got my setting powder from my purse and began to reapply it. "Iris?" My mom called out. Did she catch on? "Yes mom." "Weren't you supposed to drop those off at Mike's?" She asked, pointing to the bags I dropped. My heart skipped three beats, I could not afford to let her know what was going on. "Uhmm, he said he will be working late today. I'll give it to him tomorrow." I lied. "That is fine, tell him not to stress too much." She said. " Where are you coming from with them, then? You left my house a couple of hours ago, but you're just getting to your place now." "I stopped over at a friend's." The lies were coming out more freely now. "Baby girl, you should pay more attention to your man, not your friends." My mother started. "Remember you are getting married soon."  "Yes Madam." I smiled at her. "Can you leave my house now? I need some privacy." "Are you sure you are okay baby?" She asked again. Whoever said it, was right. Mothers always knew when something was up. "I'm fine mom, it's just that I am having a bad headache." "If it gets too serious, see a doctor. You can come by the house whenever you want." She looked at me with concern in her eyes. "Don't stress so much about the wedding, everything will be fine." "Okay mom, byee." "Bye baby." She said as she blew me a kiss, before leaving. Immediately the door got closed, my eyes let go of all the tears they were trying to contain. "How could he do this to me?" I mumbled in between sobs. "Fuck him! How could Lena betray me so easily?" She was going to be my chief bridesmaid. I told her everything, all my troubles and issues with Mike. Maybe I shared too much, but aren't best friends supposed to do that? Almost instinctively, I took out all the gifts Mike and Lena had gotten me, from the bags, clothes, down to shoes and moved them to the incinerator in my building.  As I threw the last pair of heels into the incinerator, something flashed in my eyes. It was the engagement ring on my finger. The anger that surged through me was undescribable, if there was one thing I was certain about. It's the fact that I was going to take revenge on them but for now, I'll play along with their little game. "What are you doing down here, Iris?" The nextdoor unit owner, who is my neighbor asked. He had come down to dispose waste. "Nothing Ed, just burning some stuffs I don't need anymore." I smiled as I walked past him, back into the building. I could feel his eyes on me, but I did not care one bit. Once I entered my unit, I played "Rehab by Rihanna" on loudspeakers as I got into the bathtub to soak for a while. " I'll never give myself to another the way I gave me to you, don't even recognize the way you hit me to you. It's gonna take a miracle to bring me back, another one to blame. Cus now I feel like..." I sang out loud in a loud voice. Tears were streaming down my eyes, but the determination to make them pay was getting stronger too. My phone rang out, cutting through my thoughts. As I reached out to pick it, I saw the caller and hissed. It was my supposed best friend. "Hey boo, it's Friday. What do you think about hanging out?" Her sweet voice purred over the phone. 'Was that what Mike fell for?' I wondered. 'A few hours ago I will be thrilled and say I wanted to hang out with her, but now...." "I don't feel so good, Lena. Can we do this some other time?" My voice was flat. "What about Mike? Have you forgotten we were supposed to go out together?"  If only she could see me right now, my face turned red with anger when she asked that question. I heard Mike call out for her in the background, but she hushed him. "Who was that?" I asked, ignoring her own question. "I heard a man's voice." Part of me was expecting she'll come out clean, the other part was certain she was going to lie.  "It's the plumber, he's fixing my clogged toilet." She lied through her teeth. "Alright, have fun." I ended the call. Whatever doubt I was having about my little revenge plan, flew out the window. As I stepped out of the bathtub, one thing was certain.  I WAS GOING TO RUIN THEIR LIVES. For now, I just needed to get high and it had to be at a club. This good girl was going bad.

I Fell Where His Love Favored Another

Half a month into our cold war, I, Claire Parker, found an abortion procedure slip tucked inside Daniel Carter's suit pocket. The patient's name belonged to the fragile little childhood sweetheart he had always protected so fiercely-Sophie Bennett. I folded the paper calmly and slipped it back where I had found it. Daniel noticed the movement immediately. His eyes flicked toward me through the rearview mirror, resignation coloring his voice. "What are you overthinking now? Sophie was just keeping a friend company at the hospital. She accidentally left it there." I turned toward the window and said nothing. This was Sophie declaring war on me, yet the man who could crush competitors without mercy in the business world believed her completely. The silence inside the car grew suffocating until Daniel finally stopped outside an upscale jewelry boutique. He reached over and ruffled my hair with easy familiarity, his tone indulgent and affectionate. "Come on. Pick out a ring. Your birthday's next month anyway, so we might as well register our marriage too." I bit down hard on my lip as tears fell soundlessly onto the back of my hand. What he still didn't know was that I wouldn't live long enough to see next month.

Today was my father's grand second wedding, but for me, it was the anniversary of my mother's death. My new stepmother, Marley, who was only four years older than me, cornered me. To establish her dominance as the new Luna, she ordered her servants to force me to my knees and violently ripped my late mother's necklace from my neck. It was the only memento my mother had left me. Marley sneered, threw it to the ground, and shattered the gems. When I scrambled to pick up the broken pieces, she dug her high-heeled shoe into the back of my hand, mocking me as dirty trash. No one stepped in to help. My father was too busy celebrating his new marriage under the dazzling lights, completely erasing my mother's memory and leaving me to be abused in my own pack. My heart was full of grievance and despair. Why did my mother's lifelong devotion end with her grave desolate and her daughter humiliated? I swore I would never become a weak, discarded she-wolf whose life depended on a man. Desperate to escape the suffocating wedding, I ran outside and stumbled right into the chest of a terrifying stranger. "No one should ever touch what is precious to you." His golden eyes blazed with fury as sparks instantly shot through my veins. He was Kade Blackwood, the ruthless Alpha of the feared Blood Moon Pack—and my fated mate.
Reborn To Crush My Ruthless Husband

Frances survived a horrific car crash, only to return to a suffocating life. Her wealthy husband, Baron, and his domineering mother were now relentlessly pressuring her to adopt a "poor, distant relative" named Jagger as the heir to their billionaire empire. But on her way to sign the adoption papers, a violent vision flashed in her mind. The crash wasn't an accident. She saw her car in flames, while Baron watched with cold, calculating eyes. Beside him stood an older Jagger, who calmly muttered the chilling truth. "The problem is solved." A private investigator soon confirmed her worst nightmares. Jagger wasn't a charity case; he was Baron's illegitimate son. The family had been illegally funneling offshore money to fund his elite lifestyle. Worse, Baron's ultimate plan was to label Frances mentally unstable, lock her away in a Swiss sanatorium for life, and bring in Jagger's biological mother to take her place. For years, Frances had played the perfect, obedient wife in their corporate marriage contract. How could they be so ruthlessly evil, plotting her agonizing death just to legitimize their dirty bloodline and steal her trust fund? But she was no longer the fragile puppet they thought she was. At the high-stakes board meeting, with all eyes expecting her to submit, she put the expensive pen down. "I refuse." Instead of adopting their bastard son, she slammed down an SEC whistleblower threat, forced a new will, and introduced her own handpicked heir. The war had just begun.

I am the Luna of the Blackwood Pack, but my Alpha mate, Ryker, has spent the last six years treating me like a placeholder while publicly pining for his ex, Faye. When Faye's friends cornered my wolfless daughter and called her a defective embarrassment, I finally used my Luna authority to kick them out. But instead of defending our child, Ryker stormed in and used his Alpha Command on me. He forced me to my knees with his raw power, ordering me to apologize to the bullies who had just humiliated our daughter. When I fought his crushing command and refused, his retaliation was swift and brutal. He and his mother stripped me of my family's sacred heritage, the Moonpetal Grove, and gifted it to Faye as a reward. They even tried to force a quack doctor on my daughter, telling me to just accept that she was broken. The entire pack watched me lose everything, mocking me as the useless, rejected mate. I had endured his coldness for years, but watching him sacrifice our daughter's safety and my family's legacy for his mistress was the final straw. How could the Moon Goddess tie me to a man who would so easily destroy his own flesh and blood? Instead of crying, I pulled out my mother's ancient grimoire and drafted a formal rejection of our mate bond. And when a terrifyingly powerful, cloaked stranger suddenly appeared to save my daughter's life, carrying a familiar scent of ancient power, I knew my fate was changing. This time, I wouldn't just walk away. I was going to burn their world to the ground.
