No Wedding No Mercy Chapter 1

On the eve of my wedding, my fiance's first love, Sasha Green, ruined my custom-made wedding dress worth a fortune.

The gown split open down the back. I had to crouch down and clutched my chest with both hands to keep myself from being exposed.

She stood there holding a pair of scissors, looking at me with an innocent expression.

"Anthea, I'm really sorry. I used a little bit too much force, and I accidentally ruined your dress. Please don't blame me."

My fiance, Gary Dome, immediately went up to her and took the scissors from her hand. His voice was full of concern for her.

"Why would she blame you? You were just trying to help trim some loose threads. If anything, it's her fault for being too fat, stretching the dress until it tore."

Still crouching on the floor, I watched the two of them behave intimately. My gaze turned cold.

The dress was ruined, and so was my dream.

It was time to wake up.

I stood up and headed back to the fitting room to change back into my clothes, ready to leave.

Sasha Green suddenly leaned on Gary Dome's chest, saying aggrievedly, "What should I do? Anthea must be mad at me."

Gary grabbed me by the arm and reprimanded, "Are you a mute or something? Can't you see how guilty Sasha feels because of your stupid wedding dress? Can't you say something?"

My arm hurt from his tug. I frowned at him and said, "Firstly, this isn't some stupid dress. My father had this custom-made for me abroad half a year ago. It's worth over four million. Besides, she didn't apologize for cutting up my dress. What do you want me to say? That all is fine, and it had nothing to do with her?"

Gary was speechless by my retort.

Sasha instantly said with a catch in her throat, "It's all my fault. Don't blame Gary. I'll mend your dress for you."

Then, she picked up a needle, about to start sewing. Before she barely started, she pricked her finger. A bright red bead of blood welled up instantly.

Gary immediately shoved me aside.

My waist slammed into the edge of a table, and I fell heavily onto the floor, the pain so intense I couldn't even stand.

Meanwhile, Gary carefully held Sasha's finger and brought it to his lips, gently sucking away the blood.

Sasha looked at him with tears in her eyes, saying, "Gary, I'm so useless. I can't even do something so simple."

Gary replied with tenderness in his voice, "Sasha, don't say that. You're not a professional tailor. It's only normal that you don't know how to sew."

Then, he looked at me on the floor and said icily, "If anything, it's all your fault. Why did you insist on trying on the wedding gown? If it weren't for you, Sasha wouldn't have gotten hurt! I order you to apologize to her at once!"

Our wedding was happening soon. As the bride, was it wrong for me to try on my wedding dress?

Besides, I only asked Gary to accompany me. Sasha insisted that she tag along. She was the one who insisted that there was a loose thread on my wedding dress and wanted to cut it. She was the one who also said she was going to mend the dress.

Did I say anything throughout this entire incident?

Gary clearly had his priorities differently.

At that point, I no longer wanted to get into some pointless fight with him.

I got up slowly, looked at Sasha, and said, "I'm sorry. It has always been my fault. I shouldn't have clung to him. I shouldn't have been so delusional as to want to marry him. I'll give Gary back to you. How's that?"

Gary furrowed his brows, his expression completely darkened. He said, "Anthea, what nonsense are you on about? You are my fian—"

Sasha screamed suddenly, cutting him off.

"Gary, my finger hurts a lot! Could it have been infected? Am I going to die?"

Gary looked at her with worry. "Sasha, don't worry. You'll be alright, I promise. I'll take you to the hospital at once."

They left quickly without me. I chuckled self-deprecatingly at myself before calling my father.

"Dad, I no longer want to marry Gary. I have decided I'll go to New Siland to live with you and Mom."
