Lonely Lovers Chapter 1
The night was quiet, too quiet for a werewolf home. Crickets whispered outside, and the moonlight spilled through the cracks of the garage door.
Favour pressed her back against the hood of Ibrahim’s car, her heart pounding faster than his engine ever could. His scent rich, dominant, addictive wrapped around her like a spell.
“I shouldn’t be here,” she whispered, voice trembling. “If my father finds out”
“He won’t,” Ibrahim murmured, brushing a strand of her hair behind her ear. “You know I’d fight the world for you.”
She smiled weakly. “You can’t fight my father, Ibrahim. He’s not just a man he’s an Alpha and a pastor.”
Ibrahim chuckled under his breath. “Then let him pray against me.”
Her laugh came out broken. “You don’t understand… he believes loving outside our pack is sin.”
Before he could answer, their lips met soft at first, then desperate. She clung to him like he was her only air. For a second, the world felt silent. Just them. Just love.
Then the garage door burst open.
“FAVOUR!”
Her father’s voice thundered through the air like a storm. He stood at the doorway in his pastor’s robe, eyes glowing gold with Alpha rage. Behind him, two pack guards stepped forward.
Favour froze. Her hands slipped from Ibrahim’s chest.
“Daddy”
“Don’t ‘Daddy’ me!” he roared, slamming his fist against the car. “In the garage of my house? With him?”
Ibrahim straightened, his voice calm but firm. “Sir, I love your daughter. We mean no harm.”
“Love?” the Alpha spat. “You dare speak of love in my house? My daughter is not meant for your kind. You think your wealth can buy her purity?”
“I don’t need to buy her,” Ibrahim said. “She’s not a thing to be owned.”
The Alpha’s hand cracked across his face before the words finished leaving his lips. Favour screamed.
“Father, stop! Please!” she begged, tears burning her eyes.
Her father turned his glare on her. “You have defiled this home. You’ve brought shame upon my name and my God.”
“She’s done nothing wrong!” Ibrahim yelled. “If anyone’s wrong here, it’s you for turning love into sin!”
“Guards!” the Alpha barked. “Lock him up. Tonight, his family will pay for his arrogance.”
“No!” Favour ran toward Ibrahim, but her father grabbed her arm, yanking her back. “Daddy, please! He didn’t force me I wanted this. I love him!”
The Alpha’s eyes darkened, his voice shaking with fury. “Then you’re no daughter of mine.”
Her knees gave out. “You can’t mean that…”
But he turned away coldly. “Take her inside. Wash her spirit. She’s been tainted.”
The guards seized Ibrahim, dragging him across the driveway as he shouted her name. Favour’s cries echoed through the night, each one slicing deeper than the last.
Inside, she was thrown into her room. The door locked behind her.
“Father, please!” she banged the door till her palms bled. “Don’t hurt him! Please!”
But her father’s voice was gone, swallowed by the howls of the pack outside.
Hours passed. Her mother’s voice never came. Her phone had been taken. All she could do was stare at the window, praying Ibrahim was safe.
Then the howls stopped. Silence.
Favour’s chest tightened. “Ibrahim…” she whispered, tears streaking her face.
She didn’t know it yet, but that night was the beginning of everything
the lies, the pain, the betrayal, and the long road that would one day lead them to a lost island where love and tragedy would share the same breath.
She pressed her forehead against the windowpane, whispering the name that was already carved into her soul.
“Ibrahim… I’ll find you… even if it kills me.”
