Just Giving Birth To Her Ex's Baby Chapter 1

On my birthday, Heather Pond’s lover posted a sonogram on his social media account and captioned it, [We’re going to be parents!]

I commented, [Congratulations. You can have the baby cot from my place.]

The next second, Heather called me to give me a warning. “Brandon Smith is dying. I’ll come back to you once I give birth to his child. Please don’t trigger him any further!”

I remained calm and collected when I served her the divorce papers. Then, I packed my bags and went on a vacation in Europe.

It was my birthday, and I had made a big meal. I waited happily for Heather Pond’s return, but I received news that she was pregnant and the baby was not mine.

I loved children very much. So, after we got married, I bought a lot of baby products. I often dreamed about our future children.

However, Heather said she did not like children. She was afraid that her body would be disfigured after she gave birth. She was also worried that having children would affect her career. Hence, she had no plans to get pregnant.

It turned out that she did like children. She just did not want them from me.

After Brandon Smith got diagnosed with cancer, Heather often went over to take care of him. But I never expected her to sleep with him.

She once told me that she loved me the most. It all sounded like a joke at this point.

Just as I discarded the food, Heather arrived home.

“Why didn’t you make dinner?” she questioned me with a frown.

I ignored her.

Heather grumbled unhappily, “Will Harris, are you a man? How can you let your wife starve? Besides, I’m pregnant.”

In the past, I would always make sure there was food on the table when she arrived home.

This time, I snorted.

“Yes, you’re pregnant. You’re pregnant with Brandon’s child.”

Heather did not know what to say.

After a while, she slowly spoke in a soft voice. “Will, Brandon doesn’t have long to live. His only wish is to have a child so that his family line will continue. Don’t worry. His parents are going to care for the child after I give birth. It won’t affect our relationship.”

I remained silent.

Seeing this, Heather put her arms around me.

I avoided her, and she angrily said, “Will, I’ve already explained things to you. Why are you still acting up?

“If Brandon hadn’t saved me when I accidentally fell into the ocean, I would’ve been dead now. You wouldn’t have gotten to marry me either. You should be thanking him!”

Her response immediately angered me.

“Are you insane, Heather? You cheated on me with him, and you still want me to thank him?”

I rarely lashed out, and Heather’s face immediately turned red.

“Why do you have to be so mean? I’m just giving him a child. Stop harping on it!”

I sneered. “Let’s get a divorce. I don’t care anymore. You can have ten of his children if you want to.”

Heather was stunned when I mentioned divorce.

“Will, are you joking?”

“I’m not joking. Let’s get a divorce!”

“Stop it, Will. Drop the act. I know you can’t live without me. You must have nothing to do at home. That’s why you have time to be jealous over this.”

Heather’s eyes were filled with disdain.

I knew that she looked down on me.

She had seemingly forgotten that without me, she would not be able to maintain her current status.

Heather was a career-driven woman. She had started a company with her family’s support after graduating. However, the company almost filed for bankruptcy due to her lack of experience.

I was the one who funded her and helped the company get back on track.

During that period, I put in massive effort to help her get funding and orders. I ended up with gastritis as a result.

After that, she told me that she did not want both of us to be so career-driven. She asked me to be a house-husband so that she could fully focus on her career.

I agreed to her request, but she lost respect for me.

How ironic.

“Heather, since you like Brandon so much, isn’t it good for you to get a divorce? You can finally be with him.”
