Chapter 2

The guests who attended the wedding became dumbfounded.

“I’ve long heard that there was serious infighting in Emerald Enigma. But I’m sure there isn’t anything to dispute since Emilia’s only daughter is the heiress.”

“Yeah. Everyone knows that Emilia’s only daughter is called Nancy. Besides, her name’s written on the wedding invitation card too. Who the hell is Stella?”

“How dare she make a scene and beat up Miss Jenkins at the wedding? I’m sure Stella is doomed.”

Max, Charles, and David were still bewildered. But they finally heaved a sigh of relief after listening to the others’ comments.

“What’s wrong with you today, Stella? Get off the stage!”

“I’m Max Murphy, Nancy’s husband. I can prove that Nancy is the bride and the heiress of Emerald Enigma!”

“I’m Charles Jenkins, the eldest son of the Jenkins family. I grew up with Nancy. How could there be a mistake?”

“I’m David Tucker, Nancy’s bodyguard. Nancy is the heiress of Emerald Enigma. Plus, I don’t know anyone by the name of Stella Jenkins.”

The three of them stood together in a row and fiercely protected Nancy. At the same time, they glared at me.

The audience burst into laughter.

“I’m sure Stella’s out of her mind. She can’t covet Emerald Enigma, though there are a lot of handsome guys there.”

“The Jenkins family did a good job protecting the information of their heiress all these years. But we know that Charles is the family’s eldest son. Also, Max is the live-in son-in-law, and David is the heiress’s bodyguard. They’re right.”

“Yes! Stella, hurry up and apologize!”

I raised my head and looked past everyone to stare at the man who had rushed to the scene.

“Mr. Zimmer, you’ve been with my mother for many years. I’m sure you know my mother’s daughter.”

Everyone turned in the same direction and started gossiping.

“Isn’t that Liam Zimmer, Emilia’s lover? What is he doing here?”

“Something serious just happened at the wedding. But Emilia’s terribly ill. Of course someone has to come and manage the scene.”

Liam quietly and anxiously rushed over. He helped Nancy up and looked at me.

“You evil woman! How dare a servant like you compete with Nancy?! Tie her up. I’m taking her home so that our leader can punish her!”

I was shocked.

In my previous life, all I knew was that Nancy had bewitched Max, Charles, and David. I had no idea that Liam had taken Nancy’s side too.

Someone came over to fight me under Liam’s order.

However, I remained calm and defeated everyone who came at me by using Jenkins Art. Finally, someone noticed something when they saw the seriously injured men on the floor.

“Stella’s using Jenkins Art. Only the heirs or heiresses have the right to learn that in their family.”

“If she’s a nobody, she wouldn’t know it!”

I glared at those men and waited for their lies to be exposed.

On stage, the seriously injured Nancy unexpectedly stood up again with the men’s support. She held her breath and demonstrated some moves from Jenkins Art.

When silence washed over the audience, Nancy wiped away the blood on her lips and loudly said, “Stella, I pitied you because of your background. I let you serve me while I practiced my moves. But how dare you secretly learn them?!”

I looked at Charles with hatred. Apart from Emilia, only he and I knew those moves. Surprisingly, he had shared our family secrets with an outsider. It was outrageous!

Furious, I grabbed Charles by the collar.

“How dare you?!”

However, Charles remained calm and looked at Nancy.

She took this opportunity to fish something out and raise it high.

“My mother gave me the token of Emerald Enigma long ago. Stella, this mess ends now.”
