Chapter 1

I was the daughter of a crime boss in Flonio.

Initially, I was supposed to reveal my identity during my wedding. But my elder brother told me that someone was targeting me and that I could not expose myself. My fiance also took this chance to take off my wedding gown and help my maid into it. My bodyguard then stole my family token.

I trusted them deeply, but when the wedding ceremony started, I saw my maid with one arm around my fiance. Meanwhile, her other hand lingered between my brother’s and bodyguard’s sensitive spots on their bodies.

In response to my suspicions, my maid laughed wickedly. Then, she instructed someone to break my limbs.

They locked me up in the basement and forced me to watch as they got more and more intimate. In the end, they skinned me alive and broke my bones. Before I breathed my last, they left me to the beasts.

When I recalled the misery of my previous life, I broke my maid’s ribs with a few punches.

“You can have my fiance, but you don’t deserve my family token!”

Nancy Stone kept screaming pitifully as I beat her up. Max Murphy, my fiance, got angry and slapped me.

“Stella Jenkins, how dare you hit Nancy?!”

Charles Jenkins, my elder brother, felt very sorry for Nancy and became teary-eyed. He raised his fist and rushed toward me.

“How dare you beat up Emerald Enigma’s heiress at her wedding?! I’m going to punish you!”

David Tucker, my bodyguard, immediately fought me. But I kicked him away in just a few moves. He was shocked as he vomited blood.

“How dare you hit me, Stella?!”

I dusted off my clothes and pulled a chair over to sit in the middle of the stage.

“You guys still remember my name? Have you forgotten that I’m Stella Jenkins? I’m Emilia Jenkins’s only daughter and Emerald Enigma’s only heiress. Plus, I’m the bride of this wedding!”

My words threw the audience into an uproar.

“What’s going on? If this is the bride, who was the previous one?”

Everyone looked at Nancy, who could not stop vomiting blood. Meanwhile, I could not stop sneering.

In my previous life, I had pitied Nancy’s miserable background and kept her as my maid under Charles’s persuasion.

Before long, Nancy successfully bewitched Charles, David, and Max.

After my mother got seriously injured, I should have revealed my identity during the wedding and taken over Emerald Enigma.

Unexpectedly, the three of them convinced me that Emerald Enigma had too many enemies. They became worried that I might get into danger like my mother did. They requested that I hide my identity and make Nancy take up my surname. Then, she would take my place as the bride to stop others from murdering me.

After I agreed, I saw the three of them get into bed with Nancy on the wedding night.

When their scandal was exposed, they locked me up in an octagon in the basement as Nancy’s punching bag. They also enjoyed each other's passion in front of me and humiliated me day and night.

I did not hesitate to stomp on Nancy and break her ribs when I recalled the pain of being gnawed by beasts and dying.

“Answer me. Who are you? And who am I?”

Nancy kept wailing in pain and tried her best to call for Max to help her.

“Dear, get rid of this mad woman! Charles, save me!”

My ferocity frightened Max. But still, he spread his arms resolutely and blocked me amidst Nancy’s cry for help.

“Even if you’re part of the Jenkins family, it doesn’t matter. I can prove that Nancy’s the next leader of Emerald Enigma!”

Charles felt sorry for Nancy as he helped her up. At the same time, he coldly rebuked me.

“Stop making a scene. We’re doing this for your benefit. Hurry up and apologize to Nancy. Then, go home and accept your punishment!”

David stepped out and pointed a baton at me.

“No. We don’t have to handle it at home. Beg for forgiveness! How dare a servant like you ruin Miss Jenkins’s wedding?! I’m going to punish you!”

I looked at the three men who were closest to me and clenched my fists tightly. My veins were bulging.

“Since you guys are on her side, you brought this on yourself.”

After that, I lifted Nancy with both hands and threw her down the stage.

“Ladies and gentlemen, please forgive me. The wedding’s over. This is now my succession ceremony.”
