"Listen, I'm tired of this marriage. We only got married because I needed a wife to secure my CEO position, and now that it's settled, you're not useful to me anymore." My husband, Dale, said to my face, nothing close to guilt flashing in his expression.
And that was when I knew... I really was nothing to him.
With tears in my eyes, I signed the divorce papers and left.
Left his house. Left his family. Left his life.
But not without a promise to myself. A promise that no matter what, I would come back. I would come back stronger.
The nobody they see me as, will come back as somebody.
Somebody they'd all need.
.......
Chloe Dave thought life loved her when she got married to Dale Beldson, the hottest man on earth and her long crush.
That was proven wrong, when what was supposed to be a happy marriage, turned to a depressing one, with a husband that rarely acknowledged her existence.
Still, she held on to the hope that if he'd chosen to marry her, there'd be something in there. Some emotions in there.
That died the moment his bestfriend, Nora framed her for laundry and attempted murder, and he chose to believe Nora over her.
Even after all her pleas, he still refused to give heed to her.
He saw her as a nobody.
His family saw her as one.
That was when Chloe vowed to come back and shock the world.
Shock Dale Beldson, her ex-husband.
His Ex-Wife Came Back-Stronger Chapter 1
~ Chloe ~
My husband didn't love me. He didn't hate me either.
What he felt for me was worse... nothing.
A nothingness I'd gotten used to. One I'd decided to adapt with.
Until the night that changed it all.
And it started when the car came to a halt.
A guard moved to open my husband, Dale Beldson's side of the car, and I watched him emerge, revealing that full six foot four figure I'd fallen for.
What everyone had fallen for.
It was kind of hard to not drool over such a well built man.
He was the nation's most handsome man after all, physically built to perfection.
Shoulders and chest carved like crystals. Blue eyes that shone brighter than ever, then with his dark blonde hair combed and sleeked marvelously, he defined hot.
'Hot' that I fell in love with.
Love that began the moment I got to high school at fifteen, him being a senior in his final year.
Five years passed, and I couldn't stop gawking every time I got to see him.
So you must imagine how blissed out I'd have been when he approached me on my twentieth birthday, asking to marry him because he needed a wife to secure his CEO position.
Then, it had seemed perfect, but now... after two years in, with us barely speaking to each other and sex that felt like an emotionless ritual, I could say my fantasy was dying.
Still, I held onto the hope that if out of all the females that had a crush on him, he chose me, then there would still be something in there.
Some feelings he had for me, hidden somewhere, deep down.
And every day, he hadn't proven me right nor wrong.
He barely spoke to me on a daily basis.
But today, something felt off.
I got out of the car, trying to study him.
His jaw was too tight, shoulders squared more than it normally would, eyes cold and distant.
He even had a frown on.
Normally, I was used to him being cold (because, what billionaire isn't), but that afternoon, it was different.
"Is everything alright?" I had to ask once I was beside him.
Only to be greeted with a deeper frown, before he started towards the mansion.
What was wrong with him?
Still, I didn't bother re-asking.
Instead, just rushed to catch up with him for the family dinner.
His family I hated totally.
They were like thorns in my paths.
Most of them disliked me, and they were sure to not hide it.
All because of one person. One annoying person.
"Dale!" That annoyingly sweet voice greeted the second we were in, her five foot six figure rushing to throw her arms around his neck.
And Dale, even more annoyingly, allowed her, returning the supposed hug.
His shoulders even as much as relaxed a little.
Seriously?
"You're here early." He said in that deep tone of his that I still loved.
Even when he was here, lovingly hugging someone who was meant to be 'just friend'.
"Hmm. I wanted to see Amber." She pulled away, then turned to me, her smile growing. "Chloe, you look nice."
I had to draw in a breath of patience. "Thanks Nora."
Nora Clint was probably the synonym of a nightmare.
If frustrating was a person, then it'd be her.
She was very great at masking her love for Dale in front of him, but when it came to me, she was very blunt with her insults.
But I could barely do anything, because apart from being a millionaire's daughter and the sister to my elder sister's boyfriend, she was also Dale's childhood friend and his family's perfect choice for him.
All in all, she was favored every time.
My name on her mouth brought Dale's frown once again.
"Come on, let's get going." Without glancing at me, he just began strutting off.
"Dal-" I was going to once again try to catch up, when Nora snatched my hand, halting me, the smile and pretend-friend phase dropping faster than ever.
"I don't see why you still attend these dinners when it's obvious you're not invited." She sneered. "Even Dale doesn't want you here."
"That's not true." I yanked my hand free, glaring at her. "He's just in a bad mood. Probably because of work," it didn't have to be because of me, right?
She burst out laughing like that was the most ridiculous thing ever.
"Whatever you want to think," then she stepped forward, "but you should know also that today will mark your last day in this house."
Her smile was back, while I stood confused.
"Alright then Chloe, see you later." She then walked away.
As I moved to the dining hall, I found myself fidgeting with my dress.
What had she meant by today was my last day?
What was she planning?
It probably shouldn't have bothered me knowing how Nora was, but it did, because I had a feeling, she just might be right.
Especially as I entered the hall to find Dale whispering to his father, but the moment I stepped in, they paused and Dale's cold stare landed on me.
I couldn't shake off the feeling that his bad mood wasn't about work... but about me.

I was the fiancée of the Chicago Outfit’s heir, a bond sealed by blood and eighteen years of history.
But when his mistress pushed me into the freezing pool at our engagement gala, Jax didn’t swim toward me.
He swam past me.
He scooped up the girl who pushed me, cradling her like fragile glass, while I struggled against the weight of my gown in the murky water.
When I finally dragged myself out, shivering and humiliated before the entire underworld, Jax didn’t offer a hand. He offered a scowl.
"You’re making a scene, Eliana. Go home."
Later, when that same mistress shoved me down the stairs, shattering my knee and my dance career, Jax stepped over my broken body to comfort her.
I overheard him telling his friends, "I’m just breaking her spirit. She needs to learn she’s property, not a partner. Once she’s desperate enough, she’ll be the perfect obedient wife."
He thought I was a dog that would always return to its master. He thought he could starve me of affection until I begged for scraps.
He was wrong.
While he was busy playing protector to his mistress, I wasn't crying in my room.
I was packing his ring into a cardboard box.
I cancelled my transfer to UCLA and enrolled at NYU instead.
By the time Jax realized his "property" was missing, I was already in New York, standing next to a man who looked at me like a queen, not a possession.

I shouldn't get wet at the thought of my step father, but I do.
It all started the day we had a business meeting. I work as an intern at his company and I couldn't help but imagine his long slender fingers f*cking me.
My name is Emma and no, I am not a pretty model queen. I am what you call a geek, a nerd and a wallflower.
But this wallflower wants to get bent over on his table and will do anything to be his slut. Even if it means getting my mother out of the way.

Frances survived a horrific car crash, only to return to a suffocating life. Her wealthy husband, Baron, and his domineering mother were now relentlessly pressuring her to adopt a "poor, distant relative" named Jagger as the heir to their billionaire empire.
But on her way to sign the adoption papers, a violent vision flashed in her mind. The crash wasn't an accident. She saw her car in flames, while Baron watched with cold, calculating eyes. Beside him stood an older Jagger, who calmly muttered the chilling truth.
"The problem is solved."
A private investigator soon confirmed her worst nightmares. Jagger wasn't a charity case; he was Baron's illegitimate son. The family had been illegally funneling offshore money to fund his elite lifestyle. Worse, Baron's ultimate plan was to label Frances mentally unstable, lock her away in a Swiss sanatorium for life, and bring in Jagger's biological mother to take her place.
For years, Frances had played the perfect, obedient wife in their corporate marriage contract. How could they be so ruthlessly evil, plotting her agonizing death just to legitimize their dirty bloodline and steal her trust fund?
But she was no longer the fragile puppet they thought she was. At the high-stakes board meeting, with all eyes expecting her to submit, she put the expensive pen down.
"I refuse."
Instead of adopting their bastard son, she slammed down an SEC whistleblower threat, forced a new will, and introduced her own handpicked heir. The war had just begun.

Aileen transmigrated into a dark, unfinished novel as the villainous, abusive wife of a powerful billionaire.
The moment she opened her eyes, her husband's calloused hand was crushing her throat, and her six-year-old stepson was pointing a box cutter at her face, screaming for her to die.
A cold system voice suddenly exploded in her brain, forcing a mandatory mission: save the villainous father and son, or face immediate death.
To survive the system's strict Out-Of-Character warnings, Aileen had to keep playing the role of the deranged, hateful wife.
She was despised by everyone. Her husband threatened to drag her to an asylum, and her terrified stepson scrubbed the floor with his own pajamas just to avoid her wrath.
Things escalated when the novel's original female lead publicly framed Aileen in Central Park, throwing herself onto the grass and clutching her pregnant belly.
"She pushed me. She tried to hurt the baby!"
Archer rushed over, shoved Aileen aside with absolute disgust, and looked at her with the eyes of a murderer.
Aileen felt a bitter wave of exhaustion. She had discovered the original owner's hidden antipsychotic pills; the woman wasn't just evil, she was severely mentally ill and completely broken by this loveless marriage.
Yet, no one cared, and her husband would always choose to believe his childhood sweetheart's fake tears.
Since everyone in this world was convinced she was an unpredictable lunatic, she decided to give them exactly what they expected.
Aileen turned her back on the ridiculous scene, a cold smile forming on her lips.
She was going to stage a massive, undeniable psychological breakdown, using her "insanity" as the perfect shield to play the system and rewrite her fate.
