Chapter 4

I was watching the handsome man on TV in the bedroom. He mourned and missed Andrea Bailey sadly. His face was extremely cold.

In the past, I couldn't bear to see Johnny Stewart suffer any pain. But now, I can't help but feel sick when I see him like this.

The camera turned to some other people. It seemed that everyone was moved by the deep love of Johnny Stewart, and their eyes were red.

"Bullist bastard."

This video was long ago. It was an interview with Johnny Stewart not long after Andrea Bailey died three years ago. Now I specially found it online to remind myself that this is a hypocritical person.

The phone rang and I turned to the screen. The words "Johnny Stewart" on the screen kept shining.

What a coincidence.

I pressed the answer key indifferently and put it beside my ear without saying a word.

"Siobhan." An intimate call came through the phone.

I didn't answer.

"I was supposed to pick you up, but something happened these days, so..." the person on the other end of the line seemed to be a little cautious. "You won't blame me, will you?"

Was there anything delayed? I sneered. I'm afraid it's not good for my image to go to that kind of place.

"What's up?" I lay back on the bed and asked.

"There is a party the day after tomorrow. Would you like to go with me?" That man didn't seem to sense my indifference.

"What party?"

"It's the birthday party of the old master of the Fortune Group and a charity auction. I want you to go with me and let everyone know our relationship." Johnny Stewart said in a gentle voice.

"Don't you mind?"

After a short pause, the man on the other end of the line smiled gently and said, "Siobhan, what are you talking about? No matter what you say, I love you."

What a great and touching love sentence it was to say the word "love" so easily.

It seemed that a long time ago, this person had said, "Andrea, we are one. I can't live without you, and I can't not not love you."

I sneered. I want to know what love is to this man?

"Okay." No matter what Johnny Stewart said, I hung up the phone.

It was not until I became Siobhan Bailey that I realized that the man I loved with all my heart and soul when I was Andrea Bailey was actually dating two women at the same time. And the one who had an affair with him was Siobhan Bailey!

Now I have the memory of Siobhan Bailey, so I naturally remember clearly what happened when Johnny Stewart pursued me.

How ridiculous it is! As a Siobhan Bailey, Andrea Bailey actually got the man she couldn't get with her heart and soul!

is it fate? Johnny Stewart will fall into my hands in the end?

Look, Johnny Stewart, how did you treat Andrea Bailey in the past? Now as the Siobhan Bailey, I will take revenge on you little by little for Andrea Bailey!

--

I still woke up naturally and I was in a good mood since no one came to disturb me.

I'm going to the so-called banquet with Johnny Stewart tomorrow. I opened the wardrobe and found that I don't even have a decent dress

I picked up my phone and dialed a number. "Kelly Moore, come to the Bailey Family mansion to pick me up."

"Okay."

It couldn't be shorter.

Kelly Moore. Kelly Moore is my friend in prison. I have a feeling that no one dares to offend her. After Siobhan Bailey entered the prison, she didn't lose her life under the pressure of those people because of her care. Later, Kelly Moore was released from prison, and no one protected Siobhan Bailey, so she was beaten to death.

"I will not only make them suffer, but also those who have offended me will suffer." This is the last sentence I said to Kelly Moore in prison. After she came out, she was fine and decided to help me. Of course, I won't treat her shabbily.

Kelly Moore was very fast. When I went out, she was already waiting outside.

I looked at the car behind her and couldn't help laughing. "Is this the car I asked you to choose yesterday?"

"What? Can't I?" Kelly Moore sat on the front seat of the car, as if it was not a luxury car worth millions. At the same time, she kept playing with the little angel on the front seat with her right hand.

"Of course, I like it, too." I didn't say anything more. I opened the door and got in.

"Go to International Trade Building."

"Okay."

I looked out of the window at the busy street, lost in thought.

When I was Andrea Bailey, I envied such a life. Especially when I'm trapped in life and can't hold on, I will also complain about the unfair fate.

I envied Siobhan Bailey very much before. I was wondering why the daughters of the Bailey Family are so different in fate. Siobhan Bailey can cost a lot, but I have to work hard for a living.

The situation was getting better. I started from scratch with Johnny Stewart and expanded the company bit by bit in a short time. But before I could enjoy it more, I became a ghost under the car.

"What are you thinking about?" After parking the car, Kelly Moore saw her sitting in the back seat in a daze.

"I'm thinking about the future."

"Marry a good husband and teach your son." Kelly Moore answered with a smile.

I raised my eyebrows and looked at her.

"Well, I know you are not that kind of person." Kelly Moore shrugged.

Married To My Ex-Fiancé's Silent Uncle Novel Cover
7.8
Twenty minutes before the "Wedding of the Century" at The Plaza, I stood outside the Presidential Suite in a fifty-thousand-dollar Vera Wang gown. I was the girl from a West Virginia trailer park about to marry Hugh Maxwell, the golden heir to a billion-dollar defense empire. I pushed the door open only to find Hugh pinned against the bed with my own stepsister, Floy. She was wearing my bridal diamond necklace, and the sounds of their laughter scraped against my eardrums like sandpaper. I didn't scream; I listened as Hugh grunted that once the wedding was over and the trust fund unlocked, he’d dump "that hillbilly trash" on a bus back to the mountains. They weren't just cheating; they were planning to steal my family’s land deeds and leave me with nothing. When I set off the sprinklers and exposed their naked bodies to the paparazzi, the Maxwell family didn't apologize. They called me a "greedy peasant" and threatened to ruin my life unless I signed a new deal to save their crashing stock. I realized then that I was never a bride to them. I was a transaction, a rounding error in a ledger to be used and discarded. They thought my poverty made me weak and my silence made me a victim. "If we don't have a marriage certificate by midnight, the bank freezes thirty percent of our liquidity," their lawyer warned. So, I gave them exactly what they wanted. I used a loophole in their hundred-year-old family covenant and married the only other direct heir available. I didn't marry Hugh. I walked into the ICU and married his uncle, Fleet Maxwell—the legendary war hero who had been in a vegetative state for months. Now, I am the matriarch of the Maxwell dynasty. I’ve suspended Hugh’s executive powers, exiled my mother-in-law to the Swiss Alps, and taken control of the family vault. They think I’m just a gold-digger waiting for a "corpse" to die so I can collect a fifty-million-dollar widow's payout. But last night, as I lay beside my comatose husband, the man they called a vegetable gripped my hand back.
