Chapter 3

Alina woke up feeling a banging headache, and as she touched Zach's part of the bed, she realized that he wasn't there, only the ruffled bed sheets.

She opened her eyes finally after lazing for a while. Alina stood up and headed towards the window, pulling the curtains open and letting the sun rays hit her already pale face.

Last night was different with Zach, he'd touched her in places that he's never. He took her several times, it almost seemed like it was his last time with her.

Alina couldn't wrap her thoughts around it. How can a man have two women at once? He'd been with Bella previously and now he was still so agile and took her on several sexual rounds.

Her lower back ached a bit so she stretched out a bit. Alina moved towards the wardrobe where she grabbed a random robe and put it on. She didn't realize that it was Zach's until she perceived the fragrance of his natural scent on it.

She sniffed excitedly, grasping his scent in her. Hoping that after last night, things would change between them. She saw passion in his eyes, she couldn't deny that she thought he'd changed.

She looked down on her flat stomach and rubbed it slowly. Truly, if there was a child growing in there, then she had to tell Zach about it. She was a bit positive that everything would change.

When Alina finished washing up, she changed into a short gray dress and had her hair tied in a sleek bun. She heads out of the bedroom, in a bid to search for Zach.

It was as if she knew it, he hadn't left the mansion like he would do on a normal ground. Zach was never someone who'd miss a meeting for anything. She thought he had a reason for being in the mansion at this time of the day.

She stared at the man sitting across the other part of the huge dining room with varieties of meals in front of him. He didn't seem to pay attention to them but to the documents he was holding.

Zachary felt her presence but he never turned, he only kept his focus on what he was reading. Soon, Alina approached him, she placed her hands on his shoulder and kissed his cheek.

"Good morning, Alpha" she greeted him. He'd always wanted her to call him that instead of his name. She seemed to finally want to do things right with him.

She took her seat facing him after he never responded to her greetings. Alina Blamed herself, she clearly saw how busy he was and she still went to bug him.

Alina served the meals, she assumed he'd been waiting for her. She gave him his and served some for herself.

She took a few spoonfuls before she decided to cut the long silence between them..

"Zach, I'll like to speak with you" she said,

He raised a brow at her.

"What is it?" He asked her.

".. it's about what I asked you, yesterday." She said calmly.

"Alina, we had a deal. You cannot have kids for me unless I permit you to" he declared.

"I know, Zach. But it's been years. Can we talk about it already? I want us to settle our differences and live a normal life. You have your responsibilities as the Alpha. And as your Luna, I have mine. Please let me do my part"

"NO!" He yelled out in rage.

"Alina, how many more times do you plan to defy me? Huh?" He questioned her

"Zach... I" she was unable to finish her statement before he cut her off.

"I've given you so many chances to prove to me that you'd changed. But you keep giving me reasons to believe that you only want to keep using me." He stated

"Zach, I'm sorry. Please" she apologized quickly.

"Let's get a divorce, Alina," he said calmly.

Her eyes always plunged out of their sockets, she had them widened in shock as she stared at him. Her mouth was slightly parted for a few minutes before she spoke.

"A- a divorce?" She stuttered confusedly.

Alina, in the next seconds, felt her heart ache and her head spunned. She almost puked but managed to hold back.

"W- why?" She asked him.

"Alina, it's been three years already. And I'm getting tired of your endless rants. I will let you go and be with whoever brings you peace and puts you first like you've always wanted." He said calmly.

"What are you even saying, Zach?" She yelled out, her heart beated faster. It almost felt like she was being stabbed , her legs went numb. Before she could realize what was going on, Zach coughed out blood..

She stared at him with her eyes squinted. "Z... Zach, what have you done?" She questioned him. Realizing that he'd broken their bond.

Zach wiped his bloodied mouth and then he placed the files he was reading earlier in front of her. "Sign these" he said.

"An alimony will be sent to your account immediately you've signed them" he stated.

Just then, a Feminine voice interrupted the whole situation. It was Bella, she came dressed in an elegant blue short skirt with a remarkable slit on the sides and a pink top.

She looked beautiful as always. It was at that moment Alina realized everything. This man divorced her in order to make things official with Bella.

She watched them hold hands as they left the dining room together. Alina passed out right there in the dining room.
