So, when he got down on his knees and apologized in front of family and friends, I forgave him. But at night, when he tried to touch me, I couldn’t stop myself and ended up throwing up.

Miles's face froze for a moment, then turned pale. Watching me dry heave by the toilet, he reached out to help me up.

"Eve..."

But the moment he touched me, it felt like an electric jolt, and I jerked back, standing up abruptly.
