Whoo-hoo! My Husband Got Blown Up!
Chapter 3
My mother and Turi looked polite and aloof. It seemed that they were not familiar with each other and didn't contact each other behind my back.
I stood up to make coffee and observed Turi's move secretly.
Turi carried an exquisite imported fruit gift box, gracefully smoothed her dress, and said, "Auntie, I brought it here for you and Olivia."
My mother picked up the freshest fruit, washed it, handed it to me, and said, "It's the fruit that Turi brought for you. Have a taste."
I forced myself to eat it and had mixed feelings.
After my father passed away five years ago, my mother and I lived together and helped each other.
I dealt with the family business, and my mother took good care of me.
I thought we were the closest mother and daughter in the world. However, my mother pushed me to a dead end.
Noting that I was absent-minded, Turi asked, "What's wrong with you, Olivia? You don't look well.
"Would you like to go to see a doctor? I will go with you."
Turi said as she picked up the car key in her bag.
I shook my head and temporized her, "I didn't sleep well. I just need to take a rest."
Turi doubtfully touched my forehead and exposed a twisted scar on her waist.
The scar stung my eyes and made me feel more confused.
In my previous life, Turi was close to me. She was like my sister.
She was gentle and generous. When we were in college, she took good care of me. Others misunderstood we were sisters.
After graduation, I invited her to hold the post of an important position. I trusted her.
But she refused every time. She said that our friendship couldn't be valued by benefits. She just liked me.
When I was seriously ill and needed a kidney, she donated me a kidney without hesitation to save me.
I often felt lucky that I had such a good friend.
I didn't expect my most trusted bestie to destroy my life a few hours later.
What was sadder, my mother, who loved me so much all the time, would be the accomplice in killing me.
What was going on?
...
There were only three hours left until the explosion.
After Turi left, my mother went to play cards as usual.
I had no clues and could only drive to watch Samuel's studio far away.
I would be accused of killing my husband and be cursed. I would be tortured in the dark and damp cell and die miserably in the end. Such an ending wrenched at my heart. I had the impulse to rush into the studio to stop everything.
What had happened in my previous life was too sudden. I even didn't have the time to consider it.
Luckily, I got another chance. This time, I wouldn't be bullied!
Staring at the light from the studio, I had a brainstorm.
Why did Samuel suddenly accuse me of cheating on him and gambling? How did he get the evidence and the diagnosis from the hospital?
If Turi regarded me as her bestie, why didn't she tell me when she found it strange? On the contrary, she showed up to accuse me when it broke out.
My mother and I had lived together and helped each other for so many years. Why did my mother back up Turi when it broke it?
I had so many questions and couldn't figure them out. My mind was in a mess.
I leaned against the steering wheel and tried my best to calm myself down. It was a play of time.
I carefully thought about the traces of my previous life. After an hour and a half, suddenly, I had a moment of enlightenment!
I couldn't wait to contact my assistant and say, "Investigate these things at all costs right now!"
After I hung up, I felt uneasy. My hands were covered with cold sweat.
I felt as if time had somehow been stretched. My heart beat fast.
