Chapter 1

My husband worked overtime in the studio and suffered from an explosion. His body was blown to pieces.

When my bestie frantically told me the news, I just nodded calmly.

She called and texted me nonstop. She urged me to go to the site to recognize my husband's body.

I blacklisted her and bought a ticket to go abroad.

In my previous life, when I heard the news, I stopped at nothing and rushed to my husband's studio.

However, I only saw my husband's cold ashes.

My bestie said that my husband had poured out his troubles to her once. My husband said that I had run up a mountainous debt for gambling. He wanted a divorce, but I threatened him that he would have a sky-high debt if he divorced me.

Even my mother cried and accused me of often going to the casino and taking men home at midnight.

But none of this was true.

I treated my husband very well; just a few days ago, I gave him a million-dollar watch as a gift. And I had never done anything related to gambling.

Facing their accusation, I chose to call the police to prove my innocence.

However, the police discovered my diamond necklace at the explosion site, where forensic experts also found my fingerprints.

I failed to prove my innocence and became the heinous murderer who killed my husband.

My mother took me to court for justice and took over my business empire.

In jail, I was retaliated and died.

When I opened my eyes again, I regained my life on the day when my husband suffered from the explosion.

"Honey, no matter how important your business is, please take good care of your health."

Samuel was gentle and considerate as usual. He placed the tonic on my desk.

Although his voice was gentle, a chill came creeping over me.

When I had a car accident five years ago, Samuel passed by, saved me in time, and sent me to the hospital.

Then we fell in love and got married. He took good care of me, and others were jealous that I had such a perfect husband.

But all of this was an illusion.

In my previous life, my bestie, Turi Landon, played Samuel's recording at the site. In it, he accused me of gambling and forcing him to pay off my debts.

Until that moment, I had no idea Samuel harbored a grudge against me. After all, he had always been a gentle and caring husband, and I lived with him day and night without ever suspecting his true feelings.

"Honey, why are you absent-minded today?"

Samuel's concerned voice pulled me back to the present.

He had changed his clothes and was about to leave.

He was my closest person once. When I looked at him, my heart uncontrollably beat violently.

It's today.

On this day in my previous life, Samuel said goodbye to me and worked overtime in the studio. Soon, an explosion occurred.

When I arrived at the site, I even couldn't find his body—only a pile of scorched ashes remained.

Holding his ashes at that time, I nearly broke down.

However, in public, my bestie, Turi, accused me of killing my husband to seize the family property. She said I was heartless.

Turi said that my husband had asked for help from her before he died. She said I had cheated on him many times and had amassed a mountain of gambling debts. He wanted a divorce, but I had threatened to kill him.

When I panicked and explained, my mother arrived.

I was relieved and collapsed in tears, thinking I could count on my mother's support. She had always loved me.

To my surprise, she accused me publicly, "Samuel treated you well. How could you have had the heart to kill him?

"I told you many times. Now that you got married, you should be loyal to your husband. But you stole his wage card for gambling and took men home every day!

"Even if you had no feelings for him, you couldn't be so villainous!

"You wouldn't lose much even if you divorced him and gave him half the family property. You were blinded by money and forced him to die!"

My mother's words were filled with bitter hatred.

She described me as a lecherous and ruthless woman.

My explanations crumbled under the weight of accusations from my bestie, my husband, and my mother.

I was drowned in curses. When the police arrived, I thought I had finally found hope.
