Chapter 3

I had just arrived at the casino when a huge sign suddenly came crashing down from above!

My heart skipped a beat. I reacted instantly and dodged just in time, narrowly avoiding getting hit on the head.

I pushed the door open with a bang.

I rushed over to Regina, my face full of fear and panic. "Regina, stop this. If you continue betting, I'll die for sure!"

In my previous life, I watched Regina win prizes and bets again and again, while I had to suffer wave after wave of suffering and illness in the hospital.

My misfortune was so extreme that even the nurses avoided me, and I was shuffled from one hospital to another with no end in sight.

This time, I was determined to get to the bottom of everything.

The moment I finished speaking, anger swept through the entire crowd.

Jack even stepped forward to defend her. "Ariel, you refused to come when we asked you earlier! Now that Reggie is winning, you got upset and came over to stop her? Drop the pity act!"

People around me started shoving me even harder.

"That's right. Ariel, get out of here!"

I was instantly surrounded.

Regina casually rolled a die in her hand, letting out a soft laugh. "Ariel, why would you die if I place a bet? What kind of logic is that?"

My face was tense, tears almost welling up in my eyes.

"You know exactly what's going on!"

At that moment, two words flashed across the livestream screen. "Start betting!"

Regina spoke slowly and calmly. "Alright then. One more round."

They pinned my shoulders down so tightly I could barely move. I struggled beneath them, desperation rising as I pleaded to Regina, "Please stop this! Regina, you'll get me killed!"

Yet, Regina merely flashed a smile.

Just moments earlier, the scar-faced man had already demanded that everything be inspected—the dice, the table, everything. With tens of millions watching, there was no way she could tamper with anything.

This was the perfect opportunity for her to make a name for herself.

Sure enough, as soon as she opened the dice cup again, it was another three of a kind.

Gasps erupted across the entire room.

"Damn, Reggie! We're sticking with you from now on!"

Caught in the chaos, I was shoved through the crowd until I lost my balance completely. At the same moment, the chandelier above suddenly came loose and plummeted straight toward me.

Shards of shattered glass embedded themselves into my skin in an instant. A wave of pain hit me, causing me to lose consciousness on the spot.
