The Three Guys Regretted after I Got Married

The Three Guys Regretted after I Got Married

Everyone in Kaelton envied me for the three elite young people my parents adopted, who treated me like a queen. Rodger Burton spent millions to light up the city with fireworks for the whole night to celebrate my birthday. Larry Burton planted roses throughout the estate to make me happy. Ethan Burton crafted a unique ring just for me with his rib to prove his sincerity. I was overjoyed, believing myself to be the happiest woman in the world. But when I accidentally ate a cake containing peanuts and nearly went into shock, I overheard the three guys whispering to Cailey Kirk, the daughter of the servant, Vida Kirk, in the hospital corridor. "Don't be afraid. She is merely allergic and went into shock. It is just a lesson for her." "Isn't she allergic to peanuts? We doubled the amount in the cake to punish her so that she would never have the guts to show off in front of you again." "Relax. She won't die. We just wanted to teach her a lesson for upsetting you." I stood in the shadows, and my heart turned cold. I nearly lost my life, but it was just the three guys' cruel joke to win Cailey over. Looking at the emergency medication Jayden Price had sent to my bedside, I wiped my tears and called my father, Huxley Burton. "I'll marry Jayden, despite his scars."

Chapter 2

The next morning, the doctor told me that I could be discharged. I called Huxley, but he was busy asking for more benefits from the Price family and had no time for me. I looked at the three pinned chat windows on my phone, and there was no message from any of the three guys. In the end, I sent them messages. "I'm being discharged today." Almost simultaneously, I received three identical messages. "There's an urgent international video conference I can't get away from. I've already sent a driver to pick you up." I looked at the three identical texts and laughed. In the past, even if I had just a cold, they would all forgo billion-dollar contracts to stay by my bedside. Now, I had narrowly escaped death, yet I was less important than their so-called "conference." The car drove into the Burton family's estate. However, the scene before me left me stunned. The vast lawn was adorned with pink flowers and colorful balloons, with a champagne tower stacked high, and a band was playing music. The so-called "international video conference" turned out to be Cailey's birthday party. I walked into the living room, feeling like I didn't belong. In the center of the living room, Cailey, in a pristine white princess dress, was making a wish in front of a cake with eighteen candles. Rodger, Larry, and Ethan, my three fiancés, surrounded her, singing the birthday song. The atmosphere was so warm. They seemed to be the real family. And I, the daughter of the Burton family, was nothing more than an unwelcome intruder. Ethan was the first to notice me, and his smile vanished instantly. He frowned and said in a tone full of reproach. "Didn't I tell you to come back later? It's Cailey's birthday today. It only happens once a year, and you have to come and ruin it?" His words pierced my heart. Cailey immediately opened her eyes, and a hint of triumph quickly flashed through them. She hid behind Rodger and said timidly, "It's not Lorna's fault. It's me… I'm not worthy of celebrating my birthday… Lorna is the daughter of the Burton family, and I'm just a servant's daughter. I don't deserve any of this…" Rodger patted Cailey's shoulder and turned to me. "Lorna, you were born with everything the Burton family has. Why do you have to begrudge Cailey this one birthday? Can't you be more open-hearted?" Was he asking me to be more generous? My gaze drifted past them to the dining table. The open bottle of red wine was a rare vintage from Huxley's cellar. He had told me to save it for my wedding. At that moment, Larry poured the bottle with significant meaning into Cailey's glass. Noticing my gaze, Larry nonchalantly swirled the wine in his glass. "It's just a bottle of wine. The Burton family is rich. Don't be so petty. Cailey has never tasted such fine wine. What's wrong with me to let her try it?" He paused and continued, "Or I'll pay for it from my dividends." The servants began to serve the dishes, and even Vida was invited to sit at the main table. The large dining table had no place for me. The butler stood awkwardly to the side and looked to the three young guys for help. Ethan, however, waved his hand impatiently. "She just got out of the hospital and can't eat anything greasy. Get her some plain porridge and let her eat in her room." I silently turned and walked up the stairs, step by step. Behind me, I heard Larry's mocking laugh. "See? We've spoiled her too much, so she's developed this entitled attitude." I clenched the banister and forced a bitter smile. I now gave up on them since they didn't want me.

On the morning of our twenty-fifth wedding anniversary, I found a cream-colored document tucked inside my husband's suit pocket. It was a twenty-million-dollar asset transfer for his former receptionist, Carmen. But what made my blood run cold was the contingent beneficiary: Leo, my newborn son who the hospital claimed was kidnapped twenty-three years ago. When I confronted Devonte, he didn't even try to explain. He handed me a fake Cartier watch, canceled all my credit cards, and publicly called me delusional. The next day, he moved Carmen into our mansion and emptied all our joint accounts into offshore trusts. "If you don't sign these papers and walk away, I will have you committed," he threatened, his mother nodding in agreement. They had orchestrated the kidnapping of my baby, hiding him with the mistress while I spent half my life sedated and screaming in grief. Now, to keep his secret, Devonte was going to lock me in a psychiatric ward and bury me in debt. I didn't understand how the man I loved could be such a monster. Why did he steal my child? What else was hidden in that confidential adoption file? Pushed to the absolute brink, I refused to be his victim. When his goons came to my temporary apartment to drag me away, I turned to the rugged union electrician who had just fixed my lights. "If you need a husband to keep you out of a psych ward, I'll marry you," he said, offering himself as my legal shield. I took his hand. It was time to tear my husband's perfect life apart.

Indianna Hughs had always been the quiet one, the shy one. She stayed in the background, blending in, never getting noticed. She liked it that way. So when she's forced to move schools, she isn't happy. Everyone notices the new kid, and she doesn't want that kind of attention. Especially not from Mr. Bad Boy, who seems a little too interested in her. "She's shy," Brooke shrugged, glancing at Indianna, who looked like she'd rather be anywhere else but in the classroom with them. "Well, come on," Greyson said, a hint of amusement in his voice. "I don't bite." Indianna stiffened just like before. "Don't say that," she replied quietly, but there was firmness in her tone now. Greyson raised an eyebrow, a slow smirk forming on his lips. "Did I hit a nerve?" he asked. "Guess you're not as innocent as you look." This is the edited and rewritten version of Shy. All rights reserved.

Before this, my reputation had already been completely destroyed by a director, a pop idol, and a reality TV star, leaving me blacklisted and universally hated. My adoptive family didn't just want me ruined; they wanted me permanently silenced to tie up loose ends. The hitman pulled the trigger, and the original Alicia died in despair, tasting only rain and blood. Until her last breath, she didn't understand. Moving faster than the human eye, I crushed the hitman's steel gun with my bare hand and turned his soul into dust. My Alpha Brother is my Mate

"This is wrong," I said, my voice rough and strained. "I'm your older brother... we can't do this." I tried to pull away from her, forcing some distance between us, but my body wouldn't cooperate. The pull toward her was too powerful, too deep in my bones. She didn't let go. Instead, she tugged me closer, guiding me toward the bed. One of her soft hands pressed flat against my bare chest, right over my pounding heart, while her other arm wrapped around the back of my neck, holding me there. Her eyes burned with hunger as she looked up at me. In a low, needy voice, she whispered, "Whether you believe you're my mate or not... I'm giving you my first everything tonight. All of me. Right now." The words hit me like a shockwave. Every single inch of my body-my soul, my wolf-screamed the same thing over and over in my head: Mate. Mate. Mate. The instinct roared so loud it drowned out everything else, every rational thought, every rule I'd ever lived by. I crashed my mouth against hers in a hungry, desperate kiss, claiming her completely. My hands gripped her waist, pulling her flush against me as I muttered against her lips, "And I don't care anymore about morals or rules or any of that bullshit. I'm the ruler of these lands... and you're mine. All mine." I was completely crazy about her. Obsessed. Possessed. She was mine-every part of her-and nothing in the world was going to change that.
