Chapter 4

The Wedding

These days, I was forced to be tied up with Winston and Vivian.

They were discussing the details of the wedding, trying on wedding dresses and makeup together with me watching in the air.

It was the first time I realized that Winston could be so considerate for the wedding.

Back when we got married, I tried several times to get him to accompany me to discuss the details of the wedding.

All I received was a curt answer from him. "Don't you know I'm very busy?

"Just a wedding, don't bother me about that."

So it was not a matter of being unavailable, but rather the difference between loving and not loving.

In the beginning, I would look at them, heartbroken. In the end, I was numb.

It was until their wedding day.

Winston was wearing a well-tailored suit, while Vivian was wearing a wedding dress that Winston had customized for her.

They were like the princess and prince in a fairy tale.

And unlike me three years ago, my wedding dress was rented for five hundred dollars.

They stood at the door to welcome the guests, and everyone beside them gave them their most sincere blessings.

Every member of the expedition team that I went through fire and water with was present at the wedding.

Three years after my death, they had all accepted Winston and Vivian.

My intern, Blake Ferguson, handed over a delicate gift. "For Vivian and Winston, happy to see you getting married.

"On the big day, you have to drink with me later."

Vivian leaned into Winston's arms and said with a smile, "Winston and I are preparing for pregnancy, so he can't drink."

When these words came out, people in the hall were first stunned, and then they all said excitedly, "I'm going to be the baby's godmother."

"I have to be the godfather!"

I froze in place.

They were going to have children?

The hall was filled with joyous laughter.

I looked at the happy smiles on everyone's faces.

I felt like my heart was being pulled tightly by a large hand and shrinking little by little. It squeezed all my breath.

"Vivian, you're always on Winston's side." Blake looked at Vivian with dissatisfaction, but his tone was light.

"Then you owe me, and make it up to me later."

I looked at Blake, whom I used to teach everything. He blessed my fiancé and my murderer.

"I'm happy to see you guys happy.

"You two are a perfect couple. You finally get together. It's lucky Aryanna, that bitch, had died."

I was in so much pain that I couldn't speak. Blake's words were like a knife, cutting my heart.

Vivian gently said, "Blake, don't say that Aryanna is your mentor."

Vivian's face betrayed her heart. It was full of smugness.

Blake cursed disdainfully, "Aryanna is nothing. I'm ashamed that I once called her mentor.

"Vivian, you're too kind. When Aryanna took away all the supplies, if we hadn't arrived in time, you would have been dead."

Vivian and Winston glanced at each other, their faces full of helplessness.

"Fortunately, she's gone, otherwise there's no way for the two of you to be together." Blake continued.

"I don't know where Aryanna has run off to. If I catch her, I'll teach her a good lesson."

The others, noticing the tense air, hurriedly pulled Blake away. "It's a happy day. Why do you have to mention that disgusting woman?"
