Chapter 63

Millicent's POV

We kept staring at each other as we lay side by side, till our breathing returned to normal.

I felt sleepy but I just didn't want to sleep just yet. I wanted to be sure I was really the one who experienced all those delicious feelings. I touched, Christopher on his cheek and he smiled.

'Did you like it?' he asked, with male pride.

'Was my response and scream not enough for you to know you did a great job?' I countered coquettishly. He wanted me to say it was the best lay and it was, though I didn't have any backup experience, I just knew that it was exquisite, the best anyone could get.

He laughed and turning me over till I was on him. He kissed me tenderly and I almost cried. What did I do to deserve this great man?

'I enjoyed it extremely!' he said looking into my eye. 'There's no shame in admitting it, you know'. He furrowed his brows in thought and then, while caressing my face, said, 'I am aware you do not have any experience to build on or lay your comparison but I have and I can assure you, this was the greatest and best mating I have had my whole life and that is saying alot because, I have mated with alot of humans, both humans and otherwise'.

I felt jealous of those other females but consoled myself that they were with him before my time and he loves our time together, best.

Suddenly, I heard him say, 'I should allow her sleep. I know I can never have enough of her. Now that I've had her, I wasn't going to let her go. She was mine forever!'

'Take it easy, please', I said. 'Forever is a long time!'

He looked shocked as he stared at me. I didn't know what I had said wrong.

'Did you just read my mind?' he asked.

'Did I?' I asked, puzzled. 'I thought you spoke out loud. Come to think of it, I did not see your lips moving. So, are you saying I have the gift of reading minds?'

'I know so', he said, smiling and hugging me. 'You are a great one, my Luna!'

'But I have never been able to do that before now', I protested.

'You might have come into it because we mated', I said. 'Mating, sometimes releases some unknown and hidden gifts, especially if you mate with your fated mate'.

'Oh!' she said simply, then read Christopher again,

'I wanted to help her uncover more gifts but right now, I wanted to get her insane with lust for me and plunge into her. I want to feel again the magic that we both make.

'I'd like that as well', I said, already feeling aroused. So, it was possible to mate more than once in a short space of time?

He nodded. And without saying any other thing, as though in silent agreement, we tore at each, our desires obviously not sated but whetted.Soon he was inside me riding me menacingly. And to tell the truth, I'd have it no other way.

Just like the mating, my release was fiercely intense and I dug my nails into Christopher's back, clawing him. and I felt him jerk as he came violently. The pleasure really rocked our bodies and soul violently. If I had praised him for the former, then I should be worshipping him for this for it was far better. But I felt both alive and drained at the same time and I couldn't keep my eyes open.

'Thank you so much, my Alpha for a wonderful night', I said, my last thought being that, that was the first I had called Christopher Alpha. He was indeed my Alpha. Then my head fell on his shoulders.

Sometime later, I woke. I spent sometime, looking at Christopher as he slept. He was so handsome. So strong and romantic. He was a great lover. He had not disappointed me at all. He had rather exceeded all my expectations of how a mate should mate with his mate. I blushed. I felt a rush of love for him, he looked so much like a young boy. Then I felt a rush of desire. I could wake him to love me again but to what end?

Sylvester would surely smell him on me in the morning and know what had transpired. Then he would go ahead and make good his threat to end Christopher's life. I refused to be held responsible for my mate's death. I'd rather go away.

So I quickly looked around the room and found what I was looking for in a drawer close to the bed.

'Dear Alpha Christopher,

By the time you read this note, I shall have been long gone.

You are indeed a great lover and fated mate but I can't stay. You have just made me realise that I have alot of things to discover. I am not ready yet to be tied down as any one Alpha's Luna. I hope you understand?

You are free to taste as many women as you possibly can. Do not wait for me because I shan't be coming back and please, do not look for me. If you really love me like you claim, then you will let me go!

Love, Millicent.

After writing this short note to Christopher, I folded it and left it on the bedside table where I felt sure he would find it easily. I felt hurried. I rushed into my room, threw a few clothes into a backpack and rushed out before I could change my mind.

I went to the stream and had a dip, quickly washing myself and then put my clothes back on. Then I ran because all of a sudden, I felt, Christopher calling for me.

'What are you doing?' Milly asked, very sad. 'We were very happy, infact exquisitely happy last night and this morning you are fleeing? Are you immune to happiness?'

'Milly, please. You like Christopher alot, don't you?' I asked.

'I like Zara, his wolf so much more!' she sulked.

'They are one and the same and if we don't do this, if I do not flee from here, he might die in the hands of Sylvester!'

'But he is a great warrior!' Milly insisted.

'Sylvester dies not play by the rules', I said. 'This is what I have been trying to tell you. He is ruthless and heartless and would not think twice before murdering his own twin!' I paused to catch my breath. 'That is why I could never live and truely desire him!'

Then all of a sudden, I felt someone leaping towards our direction and I started running but they caught up with us and fell on me. Both of us rolled on the floor. It was Christopher. I was happy to see him but I knew I had to say or do anything that would make him let me go.

'What do you think you're doing?' he was panting.

'I should be asking you that!' I replied, harshly. 'What do you think you are doing? Are you planning on breaking my limbs?'

My words shocked him. What had I done wrong? he thought.

'You did nothing wrong but I have to leave. We have no future together!' I said, reading his thoughts.

'You don't really believe that, do you?' he asked, incredulous.

'Oh, but I do!'

'What about last night? Did it not mean anything to you?' he asked, not believing me. I had to make him believe I did not care for him.

'What about it?' I asked, nonchalantly. 'We both wanted to scratch an itch and we have done that and are both relieved of it. At least I am. What more do you want?' I asked carelessly.

He pulled me roughly into his arms and kissed me. And I wanted nothing more than to melt into his arms and allow him have his way with me, doing to me, what he knew how to do best.

'I want you. I love you and I know you want and love me as well!' he said confidently. His hands finding their way under my blouse to my breasts.

'You are mistaken! I may have wanted you last night, but I do not want you anymore. I need to go discover other places and packs, meet others, compare...' I knew my words hurt him as I had intended because they hurt me as well because they were not the truth.

Instead of pushing me away, like I thought he would, he kissed me demandingly, forcing my mouth open. 'How could you not want this?' Milly asked in my head.

How could I not want this? I echoed as my feelings for him and the lust he was igniting in me took over...

I opened my mouth and kissed him back and he went berserk.

His hands found my breasts, and he tore my blouse off me, sinking his teeth into my breasts which were still sore from our intense mating last night, I whimpered and moaned wantonly as he sucked my sore nipples. The pain from the soreness intensified the pleasure I felt. I threw my hands round him and he groaned. His hands started caressing my body down to my buttocks. He cupped my buttocks, drawing it close to his hard length which was very erect and nodding.

Then I came back to my senses. The longer I stayed with him, the more likely, Sylvester would find me with him and in a compromising position and then he would kill my mate, my life. Christopher was now my life!

I pleaded with him in my head and begged him to understand that I was doing this for us. I pushed him away from me with all of my strength. He was not on guard, and before he could regain his senses and realise what had happened, I picked my blouse and backpack and ran off with my incredible speed, masking my scent.
