The Rejected Beta's Secret: Rise of the White Wolf Novel Cover

The Rejected Beta's Secret: Rise of the White Wolf

I spent three years building the Silver Creek Pack’s defense grid, turning us into a commercial superpower. I did it all for Alpha Craig, believing that once the economy stabilized, he would finally complete our Fated Mate bond. But at the Annual Assembly, he didn't Mark me. He pulled Chanel Murphy onto the stage, draped her in red silk, and announced her as his future Luna. When I tried to leave, he used the Alpha Command to force me into submission, ordering me to design the security for his wedding to another woman. I went home to burn our memories, only to discover I was pregnant with his heir. Knowing he would steal my child to raise with Chanel, I made the agonizing choice to sever the bond myself. But Chanel wasn't satisfied with just stealing my life. She framed me for poisoning her unborn baby—a baby that didn't even exist. Craig didn't ask for proof. He didn't listen to my pleas. He used his Alpha power to crush me to the floor and performed the forbidden Blood Severing ritual, slicing his hand and mine to physically rip our souls apart. He thought he was discarding a jealous, useless Beta. He didn't know that the trauma of his rejection would shatter the seal on my bloodline, awakening the legendary White Wolf. Three months later, his pack is in ruins, his defenses are failing, and I have returned. But I’m not here to fix his mistakes. I’m standing on the stage as the Director of Project Chimera, with the most powerful Alpha King in the world holding my hand. And Craig is about to learn that you don't get a second chance with a goddess you tried to destroy.

Chapter 7

Dessie POV:

The Council safe house was a fortress hidden in the mountains, but to me, it felt like a waiting room for the afterlife.

I was hastily packing the few things I had acquired—a change of clothes, a burner phone—when the front door splintered inward.

Shards of wood rained down on the carpet like confetti.

Craig stood in the ruin of the doorway. He looked deranged. His clothes were torn, his eyes were bloodshot, and he smelled of violence and old blood.

"You lied to me!" he roared, storming into the room.

I backed up until my legs hit the edge of the bed. "I lied? You rejected me, Craig! You stripped my rank!"

"You let me believe she was pregnant!" he shouted, closing the distance between us. He grabbed my shoulders, his fingers digging into my flesh like iron claws. "You let me make a fool of myself!"

"I didn't let you do anything," I spat back, struggling against his grip. "You chose her. You chose her money. You chose her lies because you are greedy."

"Shut up!"

He shook me, his Alpha aura flaring so hot it scorched the air in my lungs. "Chanel is gone. I dealt with her. Now you come home."

"Home?" I laughed, a hysterical, broken sound. "You destroyed my home. You destroyed the bond!"

"I can fix it," he said, his eyes dilating, the pupil swallowing the iris until they were black pits. He wasn't Craig anymore. He was just the Alpha. Possessive. Irrational. "I'll Mark you. Right now. Once I Mark you, the bond will re-knit. You'll be mine again."

He pushed me down onto the bed.

"No!" I screamed, kicking at his chest. "Get off me!"

"You are my mate!" he snarled, pinning my wrists above my head with one hand. "I command you to submit!"

*Submit!*

The Alpha Command slammed into my brain like a sledgehammer. My muscles locked up instantly. My wolf whined, terrified, trying to force my neck to bare itself.

But my human heart was screaming in defiance.

He lowered his head toward the junction of my neck and shoulder. I could feel his hot breath on my skin. He was going to bite me against my will. He was going to enslave me to the bond again.

"I... reject... you!" I gasped out, fighting the paralysis with every ounce of my will.

"You can't reject an Alpha!"

His teeth grazed my skin.

*Riiiing.*

His phone, still in his pocket, began to scream with the emergency klaxon.

He froze.

It was the Call of Duty. The specific alarm for a full-scale Rogue invasion on the home territory.

He looked at me, then at his pocket. The conflict in his eyes was wild.

"If you leave," I whispered, tears leaking from my eyes, "don't you ever come back."

He growled, a sound of pure frustration. He released my wrists and stood up.

"This isn't over," he warned, pointing a shaking finger at me. "Stay here. I will come back for you."

He turned and ran out the door, choosing his territory over me. Again.

I lay on the bed, gasping for air. My neck throbbed where his teeth had scraped.

The pain was excruciating. It felt like he had poured molten lead into my veins.

My heart stopped.

I felt it. An utter silence in my chest.

Then, an explosion.

It didn't come from outside. It came from within.

A blinding white light erupted from my skin. It wasn't heat. It was cold. It was the chill of the moon itself.

My bones cracked and reshaped, but there was no pain, only raw power.

I rolled off the bed, hitting the floor on four paws.

I looked at my reflection in the full-length mirror.

I wasn't a brown wolf anymore.

I was massive. My fur was pure, dazzling white, like fresh snow under starlight. My eyes were glowing pools of liquid silver.

The White Wolf.

The seal was broken. The trauma of his assault and his final abandonment had shattered the last barrier.

I threw my head back and howled. It wasn't a cry for help. It was a declaration of war.

The Last Ledger Novel Cover
9.7
The Last Ledger ‎ ‎Kira Bennett had spent her entire life in the quiet margins. A meticulous, introverted accountant, she preferred the certainty of numbers over the unpredictable tangle of human emotions. Her days were predictable, her nights uneventful, and her world small by design. Until one ordinary evening-one misplaced flash drive-shattered the safety she thought would last forever. ‎ ‎It arrived by mistake, slipped into her files as casually as a memo. But the contents were anything but ordinary. Inside that unassuming drive lay the kind of evidence that could topple an empire-financial trails of corruption, coded transactions, offshore accounts, and the darkest revelation of all: murder. Kira understood numbers better than anyone. But these numbers told a story of greed, blood, and betrayal on a scale she'd never imagined. ‎ ‎Before she could make sense of what she'd uncovered, the threat came knocking. A silent team-merciless, efficient, and trained to erase problems-was dispatched to eliminate her. Kira had always believed preparation and order could protect her from chaos. But rules and caution meant nothing when hunted by ghosts who moved with lethal precision. ‎ ‎Then came Donovan Hale. ‎ ‎Handsome, reckless, and infuriatingly charismatic, Donovan was the last person she expected to crash into her life-and the only person capable of keeping her alive. As the estranged son of the corporation whose secrets the flash drive threatened to expose, Donovan had spent years rejecting his father's empire. He carried his own battle scars, his own buried fury at the rot beneath the polished corporate surface. Bringing the empire down wasn't just rebellion-it was justice. And Kira's accidental discovery was the weapon he'd been waiting for. ‎ ‎Their partnership formed out of necessity, but it was far from seamless. Kira, methodical and cautious, struggled to keep pace with Donovan's impulsive, risk-driven strategies. Donovan, who thrived in chaos, found himself both amused and frustrated by her rigid logic and quiet determination. Yet beneath their clashing styles, an unexpected respect began to grow-a recognition of strength in each other neither had anticipated. ‎ ‎Danger pushed them closer. Every narrow escape, every tense hideout, every shared secret deepened a connection neither of them was ready for. Attraction simmered between them-sharp, undeniable, and every bit as dangerous as the mercenaries chasing them. Kira had never imagined desire could feel like a second heartbeat; Donovan had never imagined he could care for someone who didn't come wrapped in adrenaline and trouble. But love thrives in the shadows where fear and trust collide. And for the first time, they both found something worth fighting for beyond survival. ‎ ‎As they raced through underground networks, abandoned warehouses, and the hidden corners of a city built on deceit, the truth behind the crime ring grew clearer-and more terrifying. The empire's reach was long. Its enforcers were merciless. Allies turned into liabilities. Safe houses became traps. Every step closer to justice carried a heavier cost, and every choice demanded sacrifice. ‎ ‎For Kira, the transformation was profound. The woman who once sought safety in routine discovered a resilience forged in fire. For Donovan, the battle became personal in ways he'd never expected, as protecting Kira forced him to confront the ghosts of his family's legacy-and the man he wanted to become. ‎ ‎Their enemies closed in with suffocating precision, determined to silence them before the truth could surface. But Kira and Donovan were no longer running-they were fighting back. Armed with the damning evidence on the drive, a strategic mind sharpened by terror, and a partnership burning with equal parts adrenaline and longing, they pushed toward the heart of the conspiracy. ‎ ‎The Last Ledger is a gripping fusion of suspense, danger, and electrifying romance. It follows two unlikely allies thrust into extraordinary circumstances-one seeking escape from chaos, the other born from it. Their journey weaves through betrayal, hidden agendas, and high-stakes confrontations, all while exploring the fierce, fragile bond that grows between them. ‎ ‎In the end, their mission is not just to expose corruption but to survive long enough to see justice delivered. And along the way, they discover that the most powerful force in a world built on lies isn't money, secrecy, or control. ‎ ‎It's the unexpected bond between a woman who never wanted the spotlight ‎and a man who'd spent his life running from it. ‎ ‎Together, they are dangerous. ‎Together, they are unstoppable. ‎Together, they are the last hope to bring an empire to its knees. ‎
