The Masked Assassin Is A Girl Chapter 1

“Dreco be quiet!” Father hissed with a feigned anger.

Around the table happy laugh tore through as a look of terror made itself known on the face of our guard that my dad just called by his formal name.

I smiled at the funny interaction before taking a spoonful of my food and shoving it into my mouth.

Little food particles must have resided at the corner of my lips because mom grabbed a table towel and wiped the corner of my lips like I was a kid and I shoot her a warning glare.

She just gave me that warm smile of hers, discarding the already dirty towel she said, “Be careful how you eat Lucy, you're a Lady.”

Always the same old, same old.

I'm eighteen and mom has been kind of extraordinary careful with me nowadays.

If I walk roughly, “Lucy behave and walk properly, you're a Lady.”

Try to run fast, “ Lucy leave the track for the boys!”

Eat way too fast because I'm hungry, “Don't act like a baberian Lucy, eat gently.”

Ugh I'm so tired of her constant nagging, My mom is a good person, She has a very sweet gentle personality but I don't like it one bit.

Not like I want her to be tough or something you know but hey a little less of “Lucy you're a Lady, would really do me some good yeah.”

My dad, he is quite the whole opposite, tough, manly with those terrifying muscles perking out of him.

People call my father Ruthless and a no non - sense man well what do they expect?

He is the one and only reigning Italian Mafia who fought his way into the underworld.

But he can be a little sunshine when he wants to be with mom and me, must have been how he courted mom.

Because I can't obviously see myself falling in - love with a …

Nope not happening, Dad is kind of a psycho, I've heard screams from people he dealt with and I'm glad to say that I am of his offspring.

I can't imagine being forced to abide by stupid rules just because the Mafia boss said so.

“Lucy eat up, you're slacking on that food of yours” Father said grabbing my attention.

I nodded and did just like I was asked.

I heard Mom mutter something about leaving me that I was a Lady I shouldn't force food down my throat.

Rolling my eyes, I took the last scoop and forced it into my mouth feeling a state at the side of my face which I know it's my mom glaring at me because of the amount I pushed into mouth.

Chewing like it's non of my business, I looked around the dining room.

Few of our men were also having dinner themselves, chatting away, enjoying the luxury of working for my dad.

I grabbed the jar of water across the table I felt I smack on my hand, Ouch?!

Turning a frowned face to my mom I sat back while she grabbed the jar beside her.

Muttering something about it being a bad habit of stretching my hands across the table while eating as she filled a cup for me.

God I need a break.

I said a little thank you barely audible but I knew she heard it as I took the cup of water from her.

Taking a gulp that almost chocked me when the door to the dinning hall suddenly

Open with a panicked looking man who had, Is that a fucking blood on his clothes?

Breathing hard, few people around rushed to his aid while he was slowly slumping downwards saying something my dad could barely catch but the man beside him did catch it because his own eyes widen in terror.

Which made my dad to seat up immediately in demand for answer.

“Out with it, boy!”

The guards body started obviously shivering as he opened his mouth to talk a bullet sound was heard then a little crack sound followed after.

With a terrified mouth opened face, while his eyes rolled back, the man fell forward.

“Close the gate’s, Now?! Father ordered with a slight dear evident in his voice.

I felt my hands crushing and looked down to tears streaming down my mom face as she stared at the dead man with terror.

Surprised I wasn't shaken yet, I looked around the once calm room and saw as orders flew around.

Food scattered all over, drinks spilled as everyone rushed to safety.

Father didn't run or ask us to, he stood face void of any emotion like he knew this would happen anytime and was ready for whatever it was that was to happen.

His shoulder looked tensed as he looked around the room himself, Father's gaze finally landed on me and instead of the panicked look he covered.

He gave me a smile and my heart warmed at his encourement.

“Lucy” he muttered in a low voice just enough for me to catch, “Whatever happens make sure to survive this, Do you hear me?”

Knowing the voice he used, I already know that Father knew something would definitely happen.

I looked deep into my father's eyes and saw desperation, he needed that assurance that I would make it alive even if he didn't.

“Sure Father” My voice cracked as I said that but I just gulped down.

With a nod dad covered us up with that height of his and picked his shoulders out.

“Make yourself known, you're not a coward to throw bullets into a war zone are you?” Father asked with a loud voice which echoed throughout the room.

A click was heard, then the faint sounds of a booth was heard.

Thund! After thund!

The footsteps sounded closer and i could feel my heart clutching at each step.

Whoever this is really has some balls.

Our closed door with a loud kick, it going open to reveal a muscular arms, Tall gigantic frame of a human being, who had a mask over his face.

I heard a low hiss leave my father's lips as he stared at the person.

Mother was shaking like a chicken beside me, hasn't said a word, too devasgated to talk.

“Master?” I heard my dad whisper in a weird voice.

And a laugh tore through the young man who stood before us, He lazily slung his arms around his shoulder and stretched himself like this room wasn't armed to the teeth.

Dad's men guns were pointed at him but he seemed not to care one bit.

He straightened and did the sign of the cross, A Christian?

With a loud deep voice he said, “Peace of the Lord be unto this household but disaster be unto thee that doesn't grant what of which I came for, Mr. Kross”

He titled his head as he called my father's formal name, not even scared of him.

I watched father pull his hands into a fist like he was resisting himself.

“What the fuck do you want!” Father growled at him.

He flung his hand up in the air with a careless shrug, “ Nothing just to sign the papers I told you I would come in flesh and blood to take, if you didn't give it out to my boys, seems like you wanted to test the theory so I came to make myself known.”

“I would do no such thing, Over my dead body would I sign my legacy and name off to you, I won it fair and square, I fought tooth and nail, I Kross—”

The man called Master suddenly snorted as my father talked which made him to stop and glare at him.

“Over your dead body, you say?”

Father stood his ground, I watched his jaw tick, As he grabbed a hold of my hand and the man called Master suddenly titled his head to me.

I couldn't see his face but it was sure he was analysing me with the way his head kept swaying.

“Well you heard me loud and clear, Fight for it fairly and I might…”

A sound of something cracking was heard cutting my father up and his grip suddenly loses in my hand.

I looked up to know what's wrong and saw my father's forehead with a hole on it and blood dripping off it.

With a little sway father dropped forward.

Ahhhhhhh, No ….No, the sounds of mom's scream occupied the room as I stared with shock at my father limp body.

What the fuck.

Averting my gaze at the man and looking around the room to see the others stuff too, not making a move to shoot at all.

“I did warn him, I don't play fair humans, now drop those silly ass toy, you call a gun with in the count of 1!”

I could hear the clutter sounds of the gun as the cowards my dad called gaurds dropped the weapon given to them in fear of one man.

Looking around the room still stuck where I am, I shook my head pathetic, this is just insane.

“2!” The few loyals still held unto there gun clutching it tightly.

“And why should we heed your words?” A rough voice said, finally someone found the courage to talk while my mom was still crying out rivers holding my dad close to her.

Master ignored him and raised the third hand up, “3!” Doing some kind of weird sounds with his hand.

Bullets started flying into the hall room and bodies slumped immediately, cries were

Heard, loud screams echoed as they shot there loved ones even the ones that dropped guns were shot.

I already took shelter behind the thick Oak table beside me, bullets can't pass through it.

Looking around, I saw mom's already slumped body and closed my eyes shut.

Not having the strength to scream, Tears rolled off my eyes as I stared at the sight before me.

Pushing my covered legs closer to her body I nudged it, “Mom?”

Her body just shook and more tears slipped out, I could feel my body vibrating with anger I couldn't even let out.

Father said I should make sure I survive what ever happened tonight and I'm keeping that promise.

Staying where I was with my gown sprawled out like a rag, I kept quiet.

The gun suddenly stopped and I heard footsteps approaching where I was.

Closing my eyes shot as I got myself ready for the terror I was to face.

My heart stopped as the footsteps stopped in front of me, I could feel the person crounch down to my level and lean forward.

“You can stop playing dead and get your ass up, I'm taking you with me.” A rough voice said and I knew immediately who it was.

Creaking my eyes open I stayed where I was, I am so consumed with anger that I feel like choking this bastard to death on his mask but I know that any slightest wrong move that I make, I would be shot without a second wasting.

It seems like the shooter already planned this cause they weren't seen at all.

The Master looked at me like he was gauging what I wanted to do but I didn't give any emotion out.

He stood up and started walking out the door, but I did hear him say, “ Get the girl.”

Everything seemed to happen in a blur because I felt my self being lifted up and whoever it was that was carrying me was walking down our stairs.

I saw a few of our workers, young kids who did the cleaning being dragged roughly.

I was suddenly thrown off the shoulder and winced as I hit a hard surface of a truck.

I watched as the youths my age cried as they were dragged and thrown into the same truck.

Most stepped on me, most glared, while most just gave me a pityful look.

But I was void of any emotion, I wasn't feeling anything, I am stiff, I can't breathe properly, I can't feel my body.

Mom and dad are dead, just like that, they were shot by Master.

The man with the mask.

The only emotion I know was consuming me was to slaughter something, to rip the Masters head off.

Shot him untill I was out of bullet, burn his body and Soul altogether.

Make him taste his own medicine and I would do just that!.
