The Final Prank

I had been dating Andy Lawson for five years. He had gone bankrupt, and during the worst of it, we had to sleep in parks and scavenge leftovers for food.

After a hundred days of that life, I was just going to the blackmarket to sell some blood for money when someone sent me a video.

[Surprise.]

It was a livestream site, set up for rich kids to prank the common folk—and a video of me was pinned to the top.

My finger trembling, I tapped on it and saw myself hidden in a corner of a park, munching on leftovers to nourish my frail body.

On the split video, Andy was reclining against the armchair of a five-star hotel and savoring his gourmet menu.

"Oh, this is amazing! All Andy has to do is say that he's sick, and she's selling her blood for him!"

"On the sixteenth prank, she fell into the ocean… And on the fifteenth, she was sent flying in a car crash! Why is she so hard to kill?"

"Well, Andy already made it clear that if she survives until the end, he will marry her and swear off women!"

"One month to go! Will she die from the pranks, or marry into the Lawson family with pomp and circumstance?"

"I'm betting fifty mil that she dies tragically! Hahaha!"

I was kneeling in the hospital hallway, my hands clasped and praying for Andy Lawson.

I had sold my blood for money to pay for his medical fees, but that was still far from enough—I needed more.

Still, my mind was eventually put at ease when I saw the IV attached to him.

I then glanced at my own medical history and sighed.

Suddenly, my throat felt ticklish and I quickly picked up a tissue to cover my mouth.

There was a speck of blood on it.

I was dying too—but that was fine, as I could go without regrets if I could cure Andy before I died!

It would be a loss for someone as successful as him to die so young, which is why I would do it even if it cost my life.

That was when I got a text from Sunny Lawson.

[Did you think my cousin really loves you? Dream on!]

I frowned in confusion, and replied with just one question mark.

Soon, Sunny sent me several photos, and I saw Andy's familiar face, sitting on an armchair with his legs folded on a figure-4, and two skimpily dressed women flanking him and feeding him grapes.

And around him were his friends, whom Andy told me he fell out with them.

I then swiped to another photo and saw Sunny.

He was Andy's cousin. Three years ago, Andy missed his calls because he was spending time with me.

Sunny then came to yell at me, while Andy fell out with him too because of me.

After that, Andy was disowned so all his money was frozen.

If it weren't for me, Andy wouldn't have to sleep in parks or contract such a terrible illness…

But then again, why was Andy hanging out with them?

Sunny then sent me another text: [Don't you want the truth? Check out this livestream and you'll understand.]

I stared at the link I didn't recognize, but quickly tapped on it with a trembling finger before I knew it.
