Chapter 2

The livestream was split in two frames, and I recognized one half of it—I had asked the doctor to film the video when I sold my blood.

Andy was crying his eyes out when he found out what I did, swearing that he would always be good to me and never let me down.

But in the livestream where Andy was reacting in real time, he was watching the video of me donating my blood in disgust.

The thought left my chest feeling crushed, and I couldn't breath.

So all those moments of happiness I felt were lies.

I tried to fight back my emotions, but my fingers couldn't stop shaking even as I tapped to play the livestream.

Hence, the video of me donating my blood started playing, while on the other hand, Andy was leaning into the arms of the women around him, while discussing my reaction with the friends he had supposedly fallen out with.

On top of that, the livestream topped the list, while the other videos at best had a few hundred or a few thousands views at best.

And in the video, every face was an heir or heiress from rich or powerful families.

"Oh, this is amazing! All Andy has to do is say that he's sick, and she's selling her blood for him!"

"On the sixteenth prank, she fell into the ocean… And on the fifteenth, she was sent flying in a car crash! Why is she so hard to kill?"

"Well, Andy already made it clear that if she survives until the end, he will marry her and swear off women!"

"One month to go! Will she die from the pranks, or marry into the Lawson family with pomp and circumstance?"

"I'm betting fifty mil that she dies tragically! Hahaha!"

"Kill her already! Or what, are you going to marry her?"

"Exactly! She's so stupid—what can she do even if she was brought to your family? Be your maid?"

"Pfft! What? Isn't she a maid already?"

That was when Andy frowned and said coolly, "I will marry her. She's smart and not stupid at all!"

I watched him intently from the other end of the screen, but his expression was cold, unlike his usually mild and clingy nature.

That was when someone blurted, "Oh, shit! Did you just take her side? Did that chick drug you or something?"

Andy stayed silent, while Sunny snickered, folding his arms before his chest with an expression of loftiness.

"Come on, what are you thinking?" He asked. "Don't you boys know my cousin? Mandy is the only one for him, while others are no more than cheap flings!"

"The prank was the only way Andy could get those crystal shoes that Mandy liked, or he wouldn't be hanging out with some bumpkin for five years!"

That was when my phone screen blacked out as the battery was flat.

I hung my head, sobbing endlessly as my love for Andy faded in turn.

So that was it? Andy toyed with me like a circus monkey just to get Mandy a pair of shoes?!

Still, my thoughts were interrupted by the coughs from inside Andy's hospital room, and he soon called out, "Jane? I'm thirsty!"
