The Billionaire's Fashion Designer Novel Cover

The Billionaire's Fashion Designer

In a world where fairness should reign, injustice often holds sway. It's a place where the innocent suffer, where hard work doesn't always lead to success, and where privilege trumps merit. It's a world that can break hearts, crush dreams, and leave scars that never fully heal. Yet, amidst the darkness, there's still hope – hope for change, for empathy, and for a future where fairness isn't just a distant ideal, but a lived reality for all. But maybe that's not for me. After exchanging the rings I heaved a sigh of relief thinking that could be true, maybe there's truly hope somewhere. " You may now kiss the bride", the priest permitted. Every step he took towards me made me feel nervous, my heart pounding as fast as it could, and slowly he lifted my veil. I could bet I saw a smile for a second but it was immediately replaced with that of disgust on seeing me and he nearly puked. I thought this would be the beginning of dreams and not a nightmare but this would even be my worst nightmare. Wedding days are supposed to be the happiest days right? But that's not the case for me. Who said this world was ever fair? That was a big lie, if it is, to what extent?

Chapter 3

The riches world

Expensive cars worth millions kept pulling up in front of the venue, one of which Alice alighted from in magnificent glory, dressed in a black short gown, tight and showing her curves and cleavage, and a black stiletto, her smooth and black hair was left unpack, falling over her shoulder, her neck was accompanied by a silver necklace and diamond earrings, and her fingers clutched around her purse, she looks so breathtaking and every guys and guards she walked by turned to take another look at her, drooling and tripping. She was a very beautiful lady.

She walked into the venue, looking through the area full of heirs and heiresses. The party was made for elites only, sons and daughters of millionaires and billionaires, and the venue was decorated accordingly. The venue was spacious, the tables and chairs were well decorated and arranged neatly, and the aroma of expensive meals filled the air, along with juices and alcohols of all kinds, the decorated area adorned the sprawling garden, a display of opulence that matched the grandeur of the occasion.

" Hey Alice!".

She heard a female voice call out her name with giggles and turned to see her friends, she smiled and walked majestically to their table.

" Thought you were going to miss the occasion?", Dani said grinning,

" Not for anything," she said, giggling. One of the attendants came forward and poured her a glass of red wine then stepped back.

Alice looked around the place filled with a cacophony of laughter, music, and conversation. She could see some people pairing up, meeting new people, getting contacts, and gaining connections.

" But why are you late?", Thalia asked sipping her whiskey,

" That stinky trash delayed me",

" Let me guess, Clarisse?", Thalia asked,

" Who else does she call that", Dani said,

" She calls Victor trash also", Maya laughed saying,

" Speaking of that, he has been staring and grinning at you since you came", Dani drew her attention to it,

" Ugh! Do you have to tell me that, I hate his gut",

" Who doesn't,? That sex offender".

Dani quickly covered Thalia's mouth,

" No one can hear you, his father paid millions to keep this from the public, and everyone already forgot what he did, he's now a known billionaire in the country",

" Everyone except me, spending a few years in prison is nothing", gritting her teeth, Thalia groaned,

" Heard he never did that again", Dani shrugged,

" Of course, that almost ruined his life, he spent some years in prison, he's such a loser", Alice uttered before sipping her wine,

" But it didn't ruin his life, people barely remember now", Thalia said,

" It's now his past so let's forget all about that", Maya tried to change the topic,

" He's indeed shameless to act like nothing ever happened just because he served some years in prison; his smile disgusts me; what were your parents thinking when his family tendered a marriage plan? Ugh! If it's me, I'm going to kill myself" Thalia gulped down her whiskey in anger and disgust.

" It was unthinkable for me when my Dad came home telling me that Arthur's family offered a marriage plan and I'm going to be marrying that loser; I wanted to cry."

Maya laughed, " I'm picturing your facial expression when you heard that",

" It was horrible",

" He has always had his eyes on you, everyone knows of his obsession over you", Dani said, " isn't that why you were the first person he requested to meet after getting out of prison?",

" That was creepy and annoying",

" Alice ran away to Italy immediately after she heard that", Maya said and they all laughed at her except Alice who didn't find that funny

" It was not funny",

" I love your tricky and smart move though, marrying off your cousin instead of you", Dani applauded,

" You should have just declined the offer actually", Thalia suggested,

" I can't, my father's corporation needs every support and connection they can get right now for his project, which is the main reason for me attending this event, we're about to enter some trouble",

" Going broke?",

" Never", She replied firmly, " just need some hands to push the project forward",

" You already have Victor", Maya pointed,

" Not enough",

" Not enough? ",

" The project is worth trillions, it's international, construction, resorts and planes, the budget is quite huge and we need investors",

" Then you'll need billionaire's connections", Thalia said,

" I know right",

" But would it be easy? The best way is to get married to one of them, and right now, there are five invisible billionaires, the richest elites in the United States. How will you get married to one of them when you're secretly dating Ramses?", Thalia asked,

" I even forgot about him", Maya remembered,

" Forget about him, he's just a millionaire, I'll deal with him later so tell me, who are the five invisible",

" Okay, the number one and two are older people, enough to be your father if not grandfather...",

" Enough, next", she cut Thalia short, she did not have time for stories, they were a 'no go area' for her, she's too young and beautiful to be married to someone that'll soon die,

" Number five is married, number four is engaged...".

Alice groaned relaxing back on her chair, " and the third one?",

" You don't wanna know unless you'll go for 6 to 10",

" I need the top five, who is number three",

" Number three is Christian Charles",

" Christian Charles?", The three of them said at once,

" Yes, Christian Charles, the one that is rumored to be an imbecile",

" Ewww...", Alice's face furrowed in utmost disgust," me? To that guy drooling out spits? Over my dead body",

" They are rumors", Thalia tried to convince her,

" Rumors? Have you seen him before? He hardly attends any public gatherings, and do you even see him here? His mother was once interviewed, and they asked her if the rumors were true; do you know what her answer was? She said, and I quote, ' ain't the disabled humans?", Alice scoffed, rolling her eyes in disbelief.

" She's right though, ain't they humans", Thalia glared at Alice already getting pissed,

" Never said they're animals but it's not for me, why is he not married then", she said and crossed her legs,

" Honestly, I'm curious about who you're going to end up with".

Alice turned slowly towards Thalia, her eyes mocking her and letting her know she's nothing to her, " I'm going to end up with someone greater than your father".

Dani and Maya could feel the tension in the air; they knew Alice and Thalia ain't that close, and Thalia didn't really like her, and anytime they had an issue, it was better not to interfere.

" We'll see", Thalia smirked.

" Isn't that your bride-to-be?", Klaus nudged the smiling Victor,

" Of course, isn't she beautiful?",

" Of course, Alice is a very beautiful woman".

Victor gave him a side eye causing Klaus to laugh,

" Calm down dude, she's not my spec",

" Of course, she's too expensive for you",

" Ouch! That's rude",

" That's the truth",

" Anyways", he dismissed it, " why is she not coming to meet you though?",

" Can't you see?",

" That?",

" She's shy", Victor grinned while saying that,

" She's shy?", Klaus laughed, " Mehnn, see the way you're blushing, are you sure she's shy or she's avoiding you?",

" Of course not, you need to see the way we kept meeting eyes",

" I didn't see that, she's barely looking here"," You know nothing about women",

" That's true, innocent me", he said feeling proud of himself while Victor eyed him.

" But wait, something comes to my mind, what if she ends up not marrying you?",

" That's not possible, her family accepted to give me their daughter and they only have one daughter which is her so...",

" But I still feel like you should have asked and confirmed",

" You think too much Klaus", he said and finally turned to his best friend, " there's no if I will marry her, she can never get away from me, I'll bring down the mountain, hunt her, stalk her, kill anyone that lay their fingers on her, she has to be mine, mine only. And in the next two days, she'll be mine, even heaven is in approval of it".

He grinned ear to ear at the thought of marrying and having her all to himself, the thought made him on top of the cloud while his friend shook his head in pity at how obsessed his friend was over a woman.

I was eight months pregnant with the heir to the city's most powerful crime family. My husband, Austen, told me he was hosting a private celebration to honor me and the baby. But when I walked into the warehouse, the steel doors slammed shut behind me. I wasn't in a ballroom. I was locked inside an industrial glass freezer. Through the thick glass, I saw Austen standing with his assistant, Deb. They were laughing. He told me he didn't care about his son; he only cared about the trust fund that would unlock upon my father's death. "Cool her off," he ordered. His men dumped buckets of ice water onto me. The shock was instant. I begged him to stop, screaming for the life of our child, but he just watched with cold eyes. As I collapsed into a slush of ice and my own blood, I felt the baby fade away. Austen thought he had won. He thought my father, the Don, was dead and buried. He thought I was just a helpless, spoiled princess he could dispose of to seize the throne. He was wrong. With my last ounce of strength, I looked through the glass and mouthed three words: "He is coming." Before Austen could react, the warehouse doors didn't just open—they exploded inward. And through the smoke walked the man Austen thought was worm food. My father wasn't dead. But my husband was about to wish he was.
