Chapter 1

Lucia was very excited as she was turning eighteen tomorrow but she wasn't a werefolf, she was only raised by one and she prayed to the moon goddess for her to know her mate even though she wasn't a werefolf. Every werefolf knew their mate when turned eighteen, someone you will spend your life with and that was the greatest bond for werefolves.

Finally, the day arrived soon than ever and her mate was the future Alpha Draven but he was already nineteen which means he already knew she was his mate. She was very happy because he was the only one who showed her kindness but lately he stopped and started behaving unusual.

" Draven, can we talk?" Lucia said as she meet him walking with Aria and the moon pack.

" Who's your mate?" He asked looking at her. Lucia didn't like the stage light, she wanted to tell him privately.

" Go on!" He yelled making her afraid.

" It's you" she said as the members of the moon pack laughed. She felt disgraced.

" Yh, I knew since" he said now facing her direction. Lucia looked at him expecting him to accept.

" I.... Draven Hallow... hereby rejects... Lucia" he said as he looked at me grining as all the members laughed at me.

" But , that's the strongest bond ever ,you can't just break it?" She said filled with sadness.

" That was then girl, he has told us since. He doesn't like you and he has to reject you and accept me. Those words pierced through Lucia's heart " he accepted her" she thought to herself.

" Alright, Good day" she said with a teary eyes. He intentionally did it in front of everyone because he wanted to humiliate her .

Draven accepted Aria, their ceremony was today. Lucia was always treated as a maid ever since the packs mother died. She was the one that rescued Lucia.

" WHAT!" Eva shouted as Lucia told her about it.

" Keep your voice down , I don't want Aria to hear." Lucia said as she continued to wipe the wardrobe.

" You're already the shame of the pack, you know right?" Eva said while holding her mouth, she wasn't supposed to say that.

" Thanks so much Eva for making me feel sooooo much better" Lucia said being sarcastic

" I didn't mean to hurt you but...... It's true because you're were reborn" she added.

" I know but how I'm I the shame?" Lucia asked while arranging the glass cups.

" Any reborn werewolf that gets rejected is automatically the shame of the pack and people must no know if not it will be a shame to Dreven." Eva explained as Lucia stopped arranging. She felt sad but Eva needed to tell her the truth.

The ceremony was going as planned for Draven and Aria. Lucia was in the store room, where she usually slept She sat down on a bag of wheat as she dug through her old stuff's to keep herself busy and came across her third grade letters to her penpal.
