Chapter 2

I thanked the assistant and rushed towards the elevator .

As the elevator doors slid open slowly, I stepped inside and jabbed the button for the top floor.

The door of the VIP box was ajar.

Just as I was about to enter, a burst of raucous laughter erupted from within.

"Alpha Frank, you really made quite a ruckus. When I came in, I saw the entire desk in your office shaking. Imagine if Alpha Mike would spits blood if he knew his niece was so wanton beneath you. "

I froze in place as if struck by a thunderbolt.

" Alpha Frank and Alpha Mike have been at odds for years. Otherwise, Alpha Frank wouldn't have masterminded a fake transplant operation just to get back at him. Pretending to transplant one of his kidneys to Alpha Mike's nephew, making her fall head over heels in love with him, exposing her porn posters on the blood moon ceremony ,what a perfect step of revenge"

My mind was a blank.

Was our relationship just a ploy to get back at my uncle Alpha Mike?

"Alpha Mike is my sworn enemy. All I want is to destroy him.."

"Alpha Frank, you are an absolute diabolical genius! That wretchedly naive girl is still firmly believing that it was you who so heroically donated the kidney. Little does she know her poor uncle has lost half of his kidney; "

Laughter erupted from the group.

I was hurtling into a bottomless abyss.

I fled, my tears streaming wildly in the wind.

"Alpha Mike is my sworn enemy. All I want is to destroy him."

So, our entire encounter had been his calculated scheme!

Back then, I was born with renal insufficiency and desperately needed an operation. I thought it was alpha Frank who donated half of his kidney to me.

Despite my uncle's strong objections, I came to the Silver Moon Pack and became Frank's lover.

He promised me that once his position was more secure, he would make me the luna.

My heart was filled with Alpha Frank, the fabled sworn enemy of my uncle.

Rumor had it that in recent years, the two of them had been engaged in a fierce battle for hunting grounds and resources, locked in a relentless, bitter feud.

The day after the kidney transplant, I slowly regained consciousness.

The first thing that met my eyes was his tall, straight figure .

Sensing my movement, he turned his head slowly.

Those almond - shaped eyes with slightly upturned ends seemed to possess a bewitching power, instantly seizing hold of my heart.

He walked towards the bed with steady steps, bent down, and gradually moved closer to my face.

"Little girl, do you like me?"

My lips quivered, but I just couldn't utter a single word.

Seeing this, he hooked the corner of his mouth.

"Don't like me? Then why does your little face turn as red as a ripe apple every time you see me?"

I felt like a deer caught in the headlights.

I wanted to deny it, to push him away, but something about him held me captive.

There was something about him that drew me in like a moth to a flame.

After that day, we were together.

The phone rang, and when I saw that it was Uncle Alpha Mike calling, my heart skipped a beat.

"Yulia, I've found a suitable fiancé for you. How are you doing in the Silvermoon Pack?..."

As soon as I heard his familiar voice, I couldn't hold back my tears any longer.

I choked back a sob.

"I'm sorry, Uncle. I've made you worry all these years. I'll come back to the Moonlit Pack. I'll get to know the fiancé you've chosen for me."

My heart ached as I spoke those words.

He had given me his kidney, saved my life. And here I was, having fallen for his sworn enemy.

I had to make things right.
