Chapter 2

Soon Lilith approved of my friend request.

But she seemed to be busy. Hence, she did not text me immediately.

I grabbed that chance to click on her Facebook account.

She posted updates frequently, including updates on her travels and workplace. All of which were taken at Ekamore.

Most of them were pictures of her against charming scenery. It was dazzling.

She was sitting in the app. Hence, I could only see her upper body. But in her Facebook updates, most of them were her full-body pictures.

Consequently, I could see her long, beautiful legs.

I enlarged a bikini picture of her by the beach. She was wearing a black bikini. Her figure was amazing. She was so charming.

The caption of that photo stated, [A solitary journey.]

Happiness gripped me since she was still single.

When I was back in the chat area, I found a message from Lilith.

It was a self-portrait of her after getting off work.

She pointed at a bruise on her upper body and pouted.

[Look! I accidentally hit the corner of a table when I got off work. I got a bruise.]

I had no idea if she purposely did it or if she was being careless. The camera was facing her upper body.

Moreover, the collar of her shirt was low, revealing more of her upper body.

I could even see the corner of her black undergarments against her soft flesh.

I swallowed and subconsciously touched myself without forgetting to text her back with my other hand.

[Be careful. You’re pale. You will bruise very easily.]

[Alright. You’re so sweet. I’m so happy to have gotten to know you.]

We chatted for a while until I finished satisfying my needs, and she ended our chat.

[I’m going to take a bath. Go to bed early. See you at the card game tomorrow!]

I made a promise to her and got up. After that, I took a bath and went to bed.

I went to work as usual the next morning.

When I got home at night, I did not even eat before I logged into the app.

Lilith had texted me a while ago.

[Come early. I’m still working at Table 8. I’ll wait for you.]

She even texted me a kiss emoji.

When I got there, I found that the table was livelier. I checked the record. It turned out that a player with a username called Book Lover won nearly 5 million dollars in an hour.

I inevitably drew in a cold breath. 5 million dollars! That was enough for me to buy a moderate mansion in Anpearl.

Enthusiasm gripped me. I felt that I could win the same amount of money as that player could.

I was lucky, so I had good skills. Although I did not have a lot of funds, I won a lot and lost a little.

My money would help me earn more. Based on my speed, I would need only three days to win 1 million dollars.

Lilith had started distributing the cards for a new round.

I started placing bets. For the first round, I placed 5 thousand dollars. But I lost. For the second round, I placed 20 thousand dollars and won 50 thousand dollars. For the third round, I placed 50 thousand dollars and won 150 thousand dollars.

I grew more excited as I watched my chips start to pile high. I glanced at the ranking list and noticed that Book Lover had won nearly 10 million dollars.

He was luckier than I was because he made the right guess in almost every round.

A lot of people started placing the same bets as him. He placed 5 million dollars on the banker in that round.

After a brief moment of hesitation, I placed the same bet as him using 300 thousand dollars. Then, I waited eagerly for Lilith to reveal the cards.

She wore a tight dress that stretched around her upper body. It seemed too tight for her upper body. Her fingers were pretty, slender, and long. She slowly held the cards.

However, I was in no mood to watch her because I wanted to see the results of the card game sooner. The moment felt too long as my palms were filled with sweat.

Finally, Lilith started revealing the last card. Her voice was as sweet as always, but my heart was full of ice.

“Seven against eleven. The player won. Congratulations to the ones who placed your bets on the player. You gained ten times the bonus.”
