Boom!!! The sound came Aurora fell down, panting, as the wall clock beside her shattered into pieces. Her eyes widened in shock as she realized the devil before her was not playing. She was shaking on the floor, her palms and feet cold and sweaty. If you don't want to act like Marisol mom, then you are choosing death, his voice came again and she felt her skin crawl with goosebumps. Aurora stared at him without saying a word before walking to the locker to pick up her hairpin, She took it and walk silently to the door. But Vincenzo was quicker, pushing her against the wall as he came over her. His face was inches from hers, his mint breath filling her nostril. "What...what do you want?" she stuttered, her eyes meeting his. His right hand caressed her cheek slowly, and she tried to look away, but he forced her gaze back to his. "Your eyeball is still blue. Why?" he whispered, his voice low and husky. Aurora glared in disgust. I can act like your Brielle but I will never change my eyeball to green, she said gritting her teeth. "You look so much like Brielle, he whispered"not giving a fuck about what she just muttered.. Sometimes, I feel you are Brielle, and you're pretending. The difference is just that... He caress her neck and his minty breath mix with cinnamon perfume filled her nostril more... Brielle is thicker and her cheek is rosier. You are too slim, he scoffed hitting her on the wall and shifting back, she glared at him. I might be slim," she snapped, "but I'm thick in the right places." He raised an eyebrow, with a naughty glint in his eye. "Like where?" he asked, his gaze roaming over her body, making her skin crawl again. Aurora's hands instinctively rose to cover herself. "Pervert!" she spat. "The deal is to be only Marisol's mom. You can't cross any boundaries."She glared emotionlessly. Vincenzo chuckled..... "And who told you I'm attracted to you?He smirk "I hate your dad, and my mission was to kill you when I found out, You are the General's weakness. But then I saw your picture, and you look a lot like Brielle...he muttered". "When I get Brielle back, I might even end your life." He whispered and flashed a taunting smirk before walking away, leaving Aurora in anger. Aurora bit her lower lip, trying to compose herself, I pray you never meet Brielle then, She muttered under her breath walking out of his room... "Brielle!" Aurora turned around, her eyes flashing with anger. "Who the fuck is Brielle?" she snapped glaring at Salvatore who was standing with Axe. She has been acting strange ever since she came back from Alan territory, Axe said before walking away. Fake! Sasha muttered as she walked pass them with another gangster. Aurora turned to leave, but Salvatore's voice stopped her again. "You'd better get used to being called Brielle, because that's who you are." Aurora spun around, her fists clenched. The man smiling in the silver frame on my vanity was the very same man who, in exactly three months, would wrap his hands around my throat. I knew this because I had already died. I had felt the freezing, silty water of the Hudson River fill my lungs while Alexander watched the life drain from my eyes, his mistress laughing in the background. I had hovered like a ghost above my own funeral, watching the betrayal continue even after my death. My mother, the perfect Mafia widow, stood stoically next to my killer, unaware she had sold her daughter to a butcher. My fiancé checked his watch, bored, waiting to liquidate my inheritance. But then I saw him. Darrian Golden. The Don of the rival clan. The enemy. He stood in the pouring rain, his expensive suit soaked through, staring at my coffin as if the world had ended. When the earth hit the wood, he didn't just cry; he roared in primal agony. My fiancé killed me, but my enemy was the only one who mourned me. "The Commission is waiting," my mother’s voice snapped the timeline back into place. She stood in my doorway, demanding I set the engagement date to secure the territory. She saw a charming Capo; I saw the rat who had cut my father's brake lines. In my first life, I was a trembling bird. In this life, I was the match that would burn the cage down. I smashed the photo frame against the marble table, the sound cracking through the room like a gunshot. "Contact the Golden Clan," I commanded. My mother went pale. "He is a savage, Azalea. He butchers men for sport." "Tell Don Golden that Azalea Kidd is offering a parley," I said, looking out the window at the city that would soon be ours. "Tell him I am offering the only thing he has ever wanted: Me."
