Sacrificed By My Fated Mate Chapter 1

After five years in this world with my best friend, we ended up mating the Grant brothers—the powerful leaders of the Silver Moon Pack.

I mated Houston Grant, the Beta, while she mated Jimmy Grant, the Alpha.

They both shared a childhood friend, Kiara Mitchell, who was their unspoken bond—a bond neither of us could ever truly break.

Houston chose to exchange me for Kiara when rogue werewolves kidnapped her.

I died because of it, but I learned something that brought me a strange sense of relief.

If both my best friend and I died here, we could return to our original world, leaving this one behind for good.

I watched Houston’s grief after my death, his regret consuming him, but I felt nothing.

Calmly, I sent the message to my best friend, Zuri.

She laughed, glancing at Jimmy, who was still too preoccupied comforting Kiara, and silently replied:

“Wait for me. We’ll go home together.”

---

“Ariyah, you’ve tried to frame Kiara so many times, and I’ve let it slide.”

“What game are you playing now?”

“If you just go willingly and exchange yourself for her, bring her back unharmed, I’ll forgive you for everything you’ve done to her.”

“You’ll still be the Beta’s Luna.”

“I’ll love you like I used to, and our pup will be my heir, my most cherished one.”

When Houston whispered these words to me, his hands pressed firmly against my back, shoving me toward the rogue werewolves without hesitation.

I caught the fleeting look of triumph in Kiara’s feigned terror.

Houston pushed me so hard that my abdomen slammed into a nearby pillar, and I felt a sharp pain before the blood started to flow.

It pooled down my legs, and I stared blankly at the man who had vowed to protect and cherish me on our marking night. Before I could process what was happening, a rogue’s claws locked around my neck, choking me. I gasped, “Houston… help me… our pup…”

But Houston only frowned, his eyes filled with disgust. “Ariyah, are you still acting? These rogues are your doing, aren’t they?”

“You’re so convincing, even using fake blood to trick me.”

“Beta, the Luna is really bleeding…” I heard Roy, his assistant, exclaim.

But Houston didn’t seem to hear. His attention was entirely on Kiara, his rage consumed by her supposed kidnapping.

“Kiara, are you okay? Are you hurt?” Houston asked, his voice tense, before turning to the rogues with a snarl.

“If she’s hurt in any way, I’ll tear you apart!”

The last shred of warmth I felt for Houston vanished.

Of course, in his heart, the mate who had stood by him, who had pulled him from the darkness, could never compare to his precious Kiara.

Houston’s threats only enraged the rogues further. A group of outlaws wouldn’t tolerate the arrogance of a pack Beta.

“Who do you think you are, threatening us?”

“Want us to kill your mate right in front of you?”

Houston hesitated, his eyes flickering to me for a brief moment, perhaps questioning whether the rogues and I were truly working together.

But then Kiara whimpered, holding up her scratched arm. “Houston, it’s okay if I’m hurt. It’s just a small wound!”

Houston’s eyes darkened, his jaw clenched as he glared at the rogue holding me. “You hurt her? You’ll pay for this!”

He shifted into his wolf form and charged at the rogues, ready to fight.

So they killed me, without hesitation, without mercy.

The rogue tightened his claws around my neck, slamming my head into the wall. My limbs were severed, and my abdomen was stabbed repeatedly.

A metal spike drove through my forehead, and I heard Kiara’s piercing scream.

“Houston!! I’m so scared!!”

In that moment, everyone saw it clearly—the Beta, who had always been so devoted to his mate, didn’t even look at me. Instead, he shielded Kiara, pulling her into his arms and whispering, “It’s okay, Kiara. I’m here.”

As my soul began to drift from my body, I saw Houston’s gaze shift to me.

Confusion, shock, disbelief—and maybe even a hint of regret.

It was as if he finally realized that the woman brutally murdered by the rogues was the one who had saved him from his darkest days.

Soon after my death, a cold, mechanical voice echoed in my mind.

“Congratulations, host. You’ve completed the redemption mission. Once your best friend, Zuri, dies, you can both return to your original world and receive a compensation of at least one billion dollars. We look forward to your next adventure.”

For a moment, I wasn’t sure whether to feel joy or sorrow, but as I watched Houston’s overwhelming grief, I felt nothing.

He pushed everyone aside, collapsing at my feet, his heart shattered.

Without hesitation, I sent the message to Zuri, my best friend, telling her the truth.

All we had to do was die, and we could leave this place behind.
