Ripping off the Fake Heiress' Mask Chapter 1

The day of my wedding photoshoot, my family's adoptive daughter tugs my veil off and asks loudly, "Aren't you our family's adoptive daughter? What are you doing here? Today's the day Ian and I are supposed to have our wedding photoshoot. Aren't you going to disgrace Ford Group by being here?"

In the past, I would've run away in tears. Unfortunately for her, I'd been reborn.

I slapped Aspen Miller and retorted, "What right do you have to speak to me? Who do you think you are, having a wedding photoshoot with Adrian? Are you worthy of being associated with Ford Group?"

Aspen Miller stumbled from the slap I gave her. Her veil slipped off as she held her cheek, staring at me in disbelief.

"Alice Lowe! Are you insane?" she shrieked. "How dare you hit me! Do you even know what you're doing?"

I glared at the shameless woman in front of me. My body trembled, and I could still feel my anger boiling inside me.

In my previous life, I had been kidnapped as a child and sold to a remote mountain village. That was how I ended up with the Miller family. When my biological parents finally found me, I learned I was the only daughter of the prestigious Lowe family.

As I was leaving, I felt sorry for Aspen. I was worried that she'd end up being treated like a maid in that mountain village who preferred sons over daughters. So, I begged my parents to take her in as the Lowes' adopted daughter.

What I hadn't expected was that I'd be bringing a wolf into the house. Aspen not only stole my fiancé, Adrian Ford, but she also manipulated me relentlessly. She ultimately drove me to depression, and I ended up taking my life.

This time around, I wouldn't be so foolish!

I calmly sat down, forcing myself to regain composure as I pointed to Aspen's veil on the floor. With a mocking tone, I said, "Aspen Miller, have you forgotten who you are? Do you really think you deserve to wear this wedding dress and pretend to be the future mistress of the Ford Group?"

Aspen's expression changed instantly, but she quickly feigned composure. She pointed at the nearby, flustered sales assistant, June Alba, and shrieked, "Pretend? Go ahead and ask them! Who was the one accompanying Ian to choose this wedding dress just a few days ago?"

My heart sank. So, even when it came to trying on wedding dresses, Adrian had brought her here first? He must have completely forgotten that today, the one he was supposed to take wedding photos with was me.

Snapping out of her stupor, June quickly picked up the veil and cautiously placed it back on Aspen. She said sarcastically, "Who here doesn't know Mr. Ford's beloved fiancée? And you're still trying to steal Mrs. Ford's thunder? Unbelievable…

"If it were up to me, you'd have been kicked out ages ago. Mrs. Ford is far too kind."

Aspen tilted her chin smugly as she shot me a condescending glance. "Alice, why don't you scurry back home and do the chores? Don't forget, it was agreed upon back then that since our family took you in and paid for your education, you owe us by working like a maid in return."

At that moment, the bridal boutique's store manager, Rosalie Fabel, hurried over. Seeing the tense atmosphere, she quickly put on a flattering smile and addressed Aspen, "Mrs. Ford, what happened? Who upset you?"

I coldly observed these people who so easily fawned over the powerful before finally speaking. "You're actually calling a fraud 'Mrs. Ford.' Does the Ford family know about this?"

"Alice!" Aspen's face turned pale with anger as she pointed at me, yelling, "I can have the Ford family throw you out!"

It was only then that Rosalie noticed me. She gave me a disdainful once-over and wrinkled her nose in disgust before demanding, "Who let this shabby-looking woman in? Where did she come from, June?"

June stammered nervously as she pulled out my order receipt. "I… She tricked me. She said she came to take wedding photos… I didn't realize she was trying to latch onto the Ford family!"

Rosalie snatched the receipt from June's hand. She didn't even bother to read it and ripped it to shreds before tossing it into the trash. "This isn't ours! Our shop is the most upscale bridal boutique in Ausville. People like you don't belong here. Get out, or I'll call the police!"

Crossing my legs elegantly, I cast a disdainful glance at Rosalie and said slowly, "Call the police? Sure, let's have them decide who's impersonating me, who destroyed my receipt in broad daylight, and who's slandering me."

As I spoke, I pulled out my phone, ready to dial. Aspen's expression shifted, and she screamed, "Alice Lowe! Don't you dare!"

Why wouldn't I dare? There was nothing I wouldn't dare to do when dealing with a wannabe imposter!
