I am the Lycan Prince’s Gamma, tasked with protecting him and serving as his Luna’s personal attendant. Tonight, as the Prince and his Luna indulge in their private moments, I stand guard outside, my senses alert. The scent of their bond lingers in the air, a mix of vanilla and rosemary—his dominance, her sweetness. I can feel the faint hum of their connection, even through the thick wooden door.

When I confronted him, he looked at me with those cold, piercing eyes and said, “I would never stoop to such petty interference.”
The next three years, I threw myself into my duties, serving the Prince with unwavering loyalty. Perhaps out of pity, he told me, “When I become the Lycan King, I’ll let you go.” I felt a chill run down my spine. The Prince was cunning, his words always laced with hidden meaning. I didn’t trust him.
The last three years, the Prince found his Luna, Eloise Dean, and their bond was celebrated across the pack. When I brought up leaving again, he feigned ignorance. “Lorelei, you were promised to someone?” he asked, his tone dismissive. My heart sank, and I clenched my fists. How many years of my life would he waste? I could feel my wolf stir within me, restless and frustrated.
