REJECTED BY EX-HUSBAND, I MARRIED HIS BROTHERS-IN-LAW Chapter 1

NADIA

As the owner of Verizon Deliveries, I had a special VIP order which I was expected to deliver myself at an exquisite hotel. It was a luxury lavish flower bouquet to the esteemed Alpha Lodge, a luxurious enclave where high-ranking werewolves and Alphas booked.

The lodge was known for its exclusivity, located at the outskirts of the pack where privacy was assured.

I didn't bother checking the name on the bouquet, which simply read "Olga.” The name sounded familiar, my childhood best friend, studying abroad and has been promising to come visit me whenever she returns back to Detroit Pack.

I proceeded directly to the address. It was the main thing. Upon arrival, I knocked on the door, but there was no response. I rang the doorbell, but still, no one answered. The silence was unnerving. “They could be having some sweet moments together,” I thought to myself.

This took my mind back to my husband and my mate, Alpha Adams. I can't wait for him to return back from work in the evening so we do this.

I cleared my throat, flashing off the steamy thoughts which were developing in my head. I glanced at my watch, realizing I was running behind schedule.

“Why is this lady not responding? She can't be lodging here alone?” I thought to myself.

I tried the door handle, but it was locked. Leaving the bouquet by the door wasn't an option, as it would be unprofessional. I decided to take a closer look around the apartment. Peering through the window, I scanned the interior, hoping to catch a glimpse of Olga or anyone who might be inside, so I would get their attention.

As I checked the first, the second and the third, I was so surprised to see someone looking so familiar, I looked deeper.

“Urgh?” My lips sprout forth.

I couldn't believe my eyes.

My Alpha, Alpha Adams. I strained my eyes much more and what I saw next shocked me. It was the Olga I knew, Olga Stanley, my most trusted friend and confidante. He was pushing his cock into her from behind. Her lips kept moving, I could imagine her moaning to the pleasure of it.

“Oh my God!”

The bouquet dropped from my hand, my heart began to beat so hard that I had to grab my chest. Adams had told me he's going to work and I believed he was in his office. See what he's doing, he even ordered an expensive romantic bouquet for my bestie, something he has never given me before.

Tears strolled from my eyes, anger beeped so hard against my chest.

My frustration boiled over, and as I stepped back, hands covering my shocked mouth, I lost my balance. I stumbled and fell to the ground, the fall echoing through the quiet apartment.

The noise seemed to jolt them into action. They'd sighted me. Before I could stand, Alpha Adams appeared outside, his expression a mix of mockery and guilt. I couldn't just stand it, he even had the guts to order from my company under a VIP order where I would have to deliver it myself.

It's so intentional.

"Who's there?" Alpha Adams’ voice boomed, laced with anger and suspicion. He strode into the hallway upon quickly dressing into his trousers, his eyes looking at me. For a moment, shock registered on his face, his eyes darting between me and the apartment. But quickly, his expression turned icy, his features hardening into a cold mask. He looked at me with disdain, as if I was the intruder, not him.

"His eyes narrowed, voice dripping with anger. "What the hell are you doing here?"

I narrowed my eyes.

“Didn't you place a VIP order?” I imagined asking him but no words came off from my mouth. My eyes went to Olga, she held a totally different attitude, a smirk with arms folded across her chest while still naked, she didn't even bother to cover up.

I had been prepared to confront him, but he struck first. My mind raced, trying to get what to say to him. I was blinded with confusion here. Why will he do this to me? Cheating to my knowledge? Something fishy was going on, I guessed deeper than I thought.

"What the hell are you doing here?" Alpha Adams snarled.

His piercing gaze locked onto mine, eyes blazing with unapologetic pride and arrogance. His expression radiated a cold, unrepentant confidence, making it clear he felt no remorse for his actions. The Alpha's demeanor was unyielding, daring me to challenge him further.

“Are you insane?” I smacked his cheek so hard, tears coming down from my eyes. “Who gave you such audacity to cheat on me, still got to ask me questions?”

“You ordered from my company and even requested I deliver it personally so I'll come see this?”

It hit me hard it wasn't solely Olga, this must be his act to hurt with the way he's bold and without remorse. Adrenaline whipped me badly and I was shaking. “Tell me what I've done to you to deserve this?”

“Nothing but as the Alpha, I have the right to fuck any girl I wish. I'm not limited to you.”

“What?” I stepped back in shock at his words. “Was that what we agreed on when we got married?”

“Have you forgotten that you haven't borne any child for me in our three years of being together in marriage and I haven't said a word about it? Do you think I'm a fool?”

My legs vibrated. “Oh God!” My face fell. “You have never mentioned having kids, besides you once said after we're stable as a couple, you'll make sure I'll resume my studies and become a great woman. So all those were lies?”

“Do you think I'll marry a non-graduate like you?”

These words swung into my heart like a two-edged sword. He really waited for the time he should have kept his promise to say this.

Tears rolled down my eyes as I said this. Every memory of the past came rushing in.

“Is this how you choose to reward me after forgoing my dream of going to medical school to be with you?” I sniffed.

He said nothing but his cold eyes ran over me.

“Adams, why did you change all of a sudden? Who made you become like this?”

Olga stepped up, pulling her hand over Adams’ shoulder. “What did you expect after he sent me to study abroad? He has to marry me, he has always had an interest in me, not you.”

Chapter 1 It was their seventh wedding anniversary. Carolyn found the divorce agreement in Roger’s nightstand. The pages were covered in scribbles and corrections, as if he’d agonized over them for years. *"If, during the marriage, I fall in love with another person, I voluntarily relinquish all assets and leave with nothing. Asset details as follows…"* His first impulse had been to walk away empty-handed. But the asset section told a different story—a mess of revisions. First, he’d crossed out the property he intended to give her. Then, the fifty million earmarked for her was scratched out and replaced with five hundred thousand. Finally, as if in penance, he had written a single line. *"Better to have Carolyn leave with nothing. No choice, Catherine is pregnant."* … Carolyn sank onto the bed, disbelief washing over her. On the agreement, Roger’s signature was clean and decisive, without a hint of hesitation. And the document had been drafted seven years ago—the very year they married. That year, Roger had been willing to give up everything for her. Yet every year after, he had crossed out another piece of their shared life. Now, seven years later, the one leaving with nothing would be her. Her phone buzzed abruptly. A message from Roger. *"Urgent business. Won't be back."* She called, only to find his phone already switched off. Another notification flashed—a screenshot from a friend. Catherine, the student she sponsored, had posted on social media. *"Wow, got praised! To commemorate my first period without a leak, the big boss said we should celebrate properly!"* In a nine-photo collage, Roger gazed at her, eyes crinkling with affection as he fastened a dazzling gemstone necklace around her neck. The post was tagged at a couples-themed hotel. Carolyn’s breath caught. He couldn’t remember seven years of marriage, of weathering storms together—but he could find the energy to celebrate Catherine’s… leak-free period. And that pendant… she’d seen it at an auction just last week. It was her mother’s lost heirloom. She’d been ready to bid when her bank card was frozen. She’d asked Roger why. A long time later, he finally texted back, telling her not to waste money on such impractical things. Clutching her bidding paddle, she’d sat helplessly in the auction hall. In the end, she resolved to sell one of her own designs to raise the funds. But someone on the phone swooped in with an unbeatable offer and took it. For weeks afterward, Carolyn hated herself—hated that she couldn’t protect her mother’s last keepsake. She never imagined the one who snatched it away was Roger. He knew exactly how much that pendant meant to her. Yet he gave it to Catherine. Even on their seventh anniversary, Roger had lied about being busy with work, while wining and dining the girl she’d sponsored. The anniversary gift he left her was a divorce agreement demanding she leave with nothing. Seven years of marriage. Seven years of infidelity. And Carolyn had known nothing. She’d even introduced the other woman to him herself. Catherine was the impoverished student Carolyn sponsored. The first time Catherine came to their home to give thanks, Roger found her intrusive and disliked her on sight. *"That girl has no manners. Tracked mud all over my cashmere rug."* *"If her grades aren’t up to par, cut the sponsorship."* Back then, Carolyn had teased him, saying not to be jealous—it was good the girl had a grateful heart. She never once suspected Roger and Catherine. For seven years, everyone in their circle believed Roger never played around. That he loved only Carolyn. But by their next meeting, Catherine had become Roger’s personal assistant. Roger explained, *"The girl’s had it tough. You’ve sponsored her for years. Giving her a job is just helping you out."* Carolyn had laughed it off. Now, hands trembling, she opened Catherine’s social media feed. Catherine had always hidden her posts from Carolyn. Now, she seemed desperate to flaunt everything. While Carolyn drank until her stomach bled to secure a deal for Roger, Catherine was using Roger’s card to buy her first Louis Vuitton. While Carolyn changed bedpans for Roger’s bedridden grandmother, Roger was taking Catherine to a perfume atelier for a blending class—calling it a business trip. Catherine had even complained online. *"Your wife is such a pampered princess. Can't handle the tiniest thing without you running back. Can she not live without a man?"* And Roger had replied beneath it. *"If she were half as independent as you, I’d have an easier life."* But that day… Carolyn’s mother had lost her battle with cancer. She’d cried until her heart felt shredded, scrambling to handle the arrangements. All the while, Roger kept checking his phone impatiently, eager to leave. Not for work, she realized now—but because he was desperate to get back to Catherine.
