Reborn Regret: I Stop Blocking Their Forever Chapter 1

When my girlfriend, Cherry Jameson, receives her HIV positive test report, she finally realizes what her childhood friend, Neil Sawyer, meant by "life-and-death".

In the previous life, after Cherry fainted from her latest anemic episode, Neil insisted on donating his blood to her.

I did everything I could to stop the procedure from happening. I told Cherry that Neil had been diagnosed with HIV a long time ago, so she'd get infected if she were to receive his blood.

But Cherry refused to believe me.

Neil broke down in tears, saying that he never had a girlfriend, to begin with. Then, he went to the rooftop and pretended to jump so that he could prove himself with his death.

But he accidentally slipped and fell, resulting in his actual death.

In order to avenge Neil, Cherry worked with her classmates to kidnap me. She was the one who personally strangled me to death with her hands.

Angrily, she roared at me, "Your slanderous lies killed Neil! I want you to pay with your own life!"

When I open my eyes again, I've returned to the day Cherry is supposed to receive a blood transfusion from Neil.

As I look at Cherry, who's in the middle of receiving blood from Neil, I just smile faintly.

It's just HIV. She'll be fine.

"I know you don't like me, Sam, but we're in a life-or-death situation now. Please stop trying to stop me from donating blood to Cherry, okay?" Neil Sawyer said.

The moment I heard Neil's words, I realized that I had been reborn.

When I looked up, I was met with my girlfriend, Cherry Jameson's displeased gaze. Her face was deathly pale due to anemia.

She said, "It's one thing if you refuse to donate blood out of your own selfishness, Samuel Newberry. But now you're even trying to stop Neil from saving me? How could I have been blind enough to fall for a scumbag like you?"

Her insults made my heart sink.

In my past life, Cherry had suddenly suffered from anemia during a national competition. It would take far too long for the plasma to be rushed over from the blood bank.

To avoid delaying the competition, Neil, the campus heartthrob and her childhood friend, volunteered to donate his blood to her.

I desperately tried to stop him from doing so. That was because I had once overheard a conversation between him and some thugs in a back alley.

"I'm HIV-positive. Cherry will stay with me forever as long as I pass it to her!" he exclaimed.

I immediately stopped Neil from donating blood, even telling Cherry that he was HIV-positive. But instead of believing me, she thought I was deliberately slandering him.

Neil even broke down crying, acting aggrieved as he accused me of smearing his name.

He claimed he was going to jump off the building to prove his innocence. But while pretending to do so, he lost his footing and ended up falling from the 18th floor.

Later, the autopsy report confirmed that Neil's blood did, in fact, contain a large amount of the virus.

I thought that would be the end of it.

But Cherry teamed up with our classmates to abduct me at my birthday party.

I still remembered every single word she said as she strangled me to death. "It was all because of your slander that Neil is now dead! I'm going to make you pay for his life!"

As I snapped back to reality, the insults of my classmates were still going strong.

"How can someone as disgusting as you exist in this world, Samuel? Not only are you unwilling to donate blood yourself when Cherry's anemia is so serious, but you even tried to stop Neil from donating!"

"Exactly! Neil is handsome and gentle. What do you even have that compares to him?"

"He's just jealous that Neil is popular, so he deliberately tried to stop him."

This time, I took a deep breath. After I calmed down, I stepped aside from the transfusion bed.

Then, with a smile, I said, "Go ahead and donate. If 400cc isn't enough, then do 600cc. We shouldn't delay Cherry's transfusion any longer."

After all, one reaped exactly what one sowed.
