My Sister-in-Law’s Baby Exposed My Husband’s Betrayal Chapter 1

My husband cheated, and I'm set on getting a divorce.

My mom was the first to oppose.

"Isn't this just how all men are? You're blowing this out of proportion. Once you have a kid, everything will be alright."

My brother scowled, thinking I was overreacting. "Without Brock, do you really think you can find someone better? You won’t even consider your own faults; this is how life is!"

But the woman my husband cheated with is my sister-in-law. And she's been seeing three men, one of whom just happens to be my father's illegitimate son.

Ever since I revealed Brock’s affair and my plan to divorce him, my home turned as cold as ice.

My mom frowned right away, ready to voice her disapproval. "Isn’t this just how men are? You're blowing things out of proportion. Once you have a child, everything will be alright."

"Going on about something as shameful as divorce all the time, aren’t you embarrassed?"

My brother sprawled on the couch, glued to his video games, dismissing me with a snide attitude.

"Why are you making such a racket every day? Brock's a decent guy, yet you want to divorce him."

"Do you really think you’ll find someone better than him after the divorce?"

"Brock even gifted me a gaming console worth over a grand, something you never gave me."

"Why don't you consider your own faults? This is your life now!"

I looked at them calmly and reiterated my stance. "Brock cheated on me. That's a matter of integrity."

My mom rolled her eyes. "Integrity? Which man in this world doesn't slip once in a while?"

"He hasn't gotten anyone pregnant, and those unclear pictures don’t prove anything. You don’t even know who this other woman is or what she looks like."

My brother chimed in, "Exactly, sis. Maybe it's because you don’t know how to dress up. With age, maybe that’s why Brock was tempted by someone else. You're not even as appealing as Brynn."

My sister-in-law Brynn is twenty-five. She's young, attractive, and charming—the kind of woman most men would fancy.

That thought left me in uneasy silence. Could it really be true?

After all, the person my husband was involved with was Brynn.

Since our marriage, Brock and I have had plenty of arguments, trivial ones about chores like mopping and doing the dishes, and serious ones about property rights and purchasing cars or houses.

But each time, I swallowed my pride following my family’s advice, except this time—this time crossed the line.

One day, while borrowing Brock's phone, I stumbled upon a restaurant charge of $1,314. Some digging revealed it was the price of the restaurant’s couple’s special.

It felt like a slap in the face; I hadn't dined out with him lately. Who was he there with?

Knowing Brock’s habit of screenshotting important things, I found a hidden album full of conversations with someone. The texts were flirtatious, bold, and candid.

The exchanges had been ongoing for quite some time, but I couldn’t find this person in his contacts.

Trembling, I closed the app, kept quiet, and searched our bedroom thoroughly when I got home.

Eventually, I found an earring that wasn't mine tucked away in a corner.

Confronting Brock with this evidence, he immediately got uncomfortable.

That night, I made him sleep on the couch, overhearing his phone conversation.

“We shouldn’t meet up for now; Eloise found out. If she realizes it's you, Owen will divorce you,” he said.

Eloise is me, and Owen is my brother.

On the other end of the line, my husband’s affair was none other than my sister-in-law, Brynn.

Alpha Rejected True Mate Novel Cover

The greenhouse was my sanctuary in a pack house that had never felt like home. Dawn hadn't yet broken when I slipped inside, the familiar scent of damp soil and blooming flowers wrapping around me like an embrace I'd long been denied elsewhere. My fingers trembled slightly as I reached for the watering can—a weakness I couldn't afford to show outside these glass walls. I focused on the white lilies, my favorites. Their pure petals reminded me of what I once was—hopeful, untainted. Before the mate bond that became my prison. "You're wilting too, aren't you?" I whispered to a drooping bloom, gently supporting its stem. My wolf, Luna, whimpered softly in the back of my mind. Once silver and strong, she now barely stirred, weakened by the sickness that had been consuming us both since I gave too much blood to save William three years ago. A sudden tremor ran through my bones, stronger than the usual morning weakness.
Alpha's Betrayal, New Bond Novel Cover

The scent of pine and mountain air clung to my skin as I stepped into the sprawling neutral-territory lodge. My heart fluttered with anticipation, one hand instinctively resting on my still-flat stomach where our future heir grew. Three weeks of morning sickness had confirmed what my wolf, Luna, had already whispered to me – I was carrying Michael's pup, the future Alpha of Silver Creek Pack. "He's going to be so happy," I whispered to my wolf, feeling her eager agreement pulse through our shared consciousness. *He'll finally look at us the way he did when we first mated,* Luna murmured inside my mind. I hadn't told anyone about my pregnancy, not even my mother back in the Moonstone Pack. This moment belonged to Michael first – my Alpha, my mate, the man who had swept me into his world three years ago with promises of devotion and protection. The marble floors echoed beneath my careful steps as I followed the familiar trail of Michael's scent – sandalwood and authority, a commanding presence that had always made my knees weak. The diplomatic meetings between packs had kept him away for nearly two weeks, and though he'd ordered me to stay at our pack house, I couldn't bear to wait another day to share our miracle. My fingers trembled slightly as I traced his scent down a long corridor lined with carved wooden doors.

Luna Rejects Cheating Mate Novel Cover

I smoothed down the front of my traditional Luna ceremonial dress, the silver embroidery catching the light as I moved. Three years. Three perfect years with my mate, and tonight I wanted everything to be perfect. "Do you think he'll like the surprise?" I asked my reflection, adjusting the moonstone pendant that had been my mother's. It was the last thing she'd given me before passing, and I wore it only on special occasions. My wolf, Aria, purred with satisfaction. *He'll love it. You've prepared his favorite meal.* I glanced at the dining room table, set with our finest china and candles. The roast was resting, vegetables steaming, and a bottle of aged red wine—Tyson's favorite—hidden in the car for the final touch. "He should be home any minute," I murmured, checking my phone.
