Aiden and Sophia grew up together in the same neighborhood, but their paths took different turns as they entered high school. Aiden, the confident and popular kid, was known for his charm and charisma. Meanwhile, Sophia struggled with her self-image, often teased by her peers for being overweight. They called her "Fats," a nickname that stung but also fueled her determination to prove them wrong.
Fast forward ten years, and Sophia transformed her life. She channeled her passion for fashion into a thriving business, launching her own fashion company. Aiden, who had pursued a career in textiles, was impressed by Sophia's journey and the success she achieved.
One day, they met up to discuss a potential collaboration. Aiden presented a business proposal that would allow their companies to work together, combining his textile expertise with her fashion vision. They signed a contract that marked the beginning of a new chapter in their relationship, one built on mutual respect and shared ambition.
As they navigated the challenges of the business world, they also rekindled their friendship, finding strength in each other's support. Together, they proved that the past doesn't define who you are, and that with hard work and determination, you can rise above any label.
MY LOVELY NEMESIS Chapter 1
Aiden Carter checked the time on this phone and saw that it was a little after three and his appointment with the fashion industry he was collaborating with is a little late,he hastened up and headed to his packed car in his company garage, his driver had taken a leave because his wife just put to bed,Aiden had not always fancied marriage and he didn't see himself with kids in future too,he pulled up at the express but was stuck in traffic. He reached the hotel by around four thirty-eight and he was a little sad that he was the cause of the delay,he has always been the punctual one but today is not just his day,he woke up behind time and have not had a proper meal, waking up late is because of the party that José his friend had practically dragged him to because he has always being bent on always working,he protested and told his friend that partying is not what he wants to be doing now that he is in his thirties but was told that he sounded ancient and is a party pooper,so he went for the party so that his ego will not be bruised but he ended up bruising his schedule
***************************
Clad in her usual joggers and canvas,Sophia Chen was already feeling angry and frustrated, she has been waiting for more that two hours because she came for the appointment around two and is still there, she has ordered only water and the waiters have been casting lousy gestures her way but she still maintained her composure but was still feeling miserable inside because she feels so exposed when people look at her that way,she feels that they always she what she looks like without her clothes and has always been body conscious, she was still wallowing is self pity when she felt someone standing opposite her,she raised her head to see the last person she wants to meet on earth
"Hello,i'm Aiden Carter and you must be Sophia Chen"Aiden said bringing out his hand for a handshake
"Yeah..umm...yeah,I am she"Sophia stammered feeling so agitated, she just met the same man that made her life miserable and still miserable, and no matter how rich and accomplished she had become over the years she didn't still feel confident, she was still a freaking virgin in her early thirties and she didn't have the confidence of dating because she didn't like her body, she still felt very fat and ugly and no amount of gym and dieting could boost her morale .
Aiden looked at Sophia and found her very familiar and he knows that he has never fucked her because if he had done so,he could recognise her large boobs that were not covered even when she is wearing such large clothes,he smiled as he tried remembering where he knew her from but his memory were so fuzzy
"Do i know you or have we met before today? He decided to ask with his business smile on his face
"I don't think so,my secretary was the one that set up this appointment" Sophia answered without raising up her head
Aiden raised up his eyebrows but decided not to press further sensing the discomfort of his company
"Your spring collection sold out immediately it came out and my textile company needs a good fashion company to work with,we produce good textiles and your company creates good and tangible designs and you have never had any never remarks like plagiarism,i went through your company profile and i also discovered that you have won many awards for your company and also for yourself though you don't show yourself publicly, your assistant has always been the one and i don't want to ask the reason because it might be personal,we are just here to sign the contracts"He said bringing out the files
"My Lawyers have drafted the contacts and you should take your time to go through it,everything you need to know is there and the damage control policy is also included but i hope we won't get to use the policy because i play by the book and i also hope that you do the same"He said handling the contracts to her and she takes it and signs without going through it like he suggested
"I trust your judgment and i will do my best to meet your demands as you meet mine"
"Should we seal the contract with a nice dinner since you have not ordered anything"
"Nope,i have to start going i have been here for long and my assistant might actually file a missing person report if i stay longer"Sophia said this not to sound funny but it's actually the truth,Ruth her assistant a sixty-five years old woman has always been so protective of her,Ruth was her nanny before she employed her as her assistant so she still acts like a nanny most times.
"See you next time Miss Sophia"Aiden said with his signature smile
"Just Sophia and thanks for choosing my company" She said returning the smug of a smile eager to leave his suffocating presence
Aiden could not take his eyes off Sophia's behind as they bounced when she left in a hurry,he licked his lips and was still smiling, his phone chimed as he received a message from José
"Have you eaten"
"No,whats'up"
"Can you come to my penthouse i'm feeling so tired and hungry"
"Why?"
"You are my best man and my girl is not in town"
"Do i look like a second option"
"No,please come and bring pizza"
"Okay,i will be there in ten minutes"
Aiden left the hotel without eating and drove to the nearest pizza hut he could see,he ordered cheese and pepperoni pizza with chicken nuggets,he might be the richest CEO but he still loved his chicken nuggets,he was often made fun of for loving chicken nuggets but one can not blame a man for loving what he loves,he takes his order and leaves after paying and tipping the waitress. He always likes tipping and does that to anyone that renders their services to him even the call girls,he smiles as he remembers the ass he just saw and decides to push it to the back of his mind and drive with a sane mind and not thinking about it and having a boner.

My fiancé always told me he loved me. But not long after our engagement, I woke up suffocating in the dark.
He was pressing a pillow over my face, his eyes cold and dead, while my half-sister stood by watching with fake pity.
They had orchestrated everything just to steal my trust fund.
It all started with a massive hotel scandal. They had drugged me, thrown a cheap escort into my bed, and brought a mob of paparazzi to ruin my reputation.
When my fiancé broke through the crowd, playing the heartbroken victim, he knelt down with a massive diamond ring.
"I know things have been hard, but I love you. If you come home with me, I will forgive all of this."
In my past life, I cried tears of gratitude and let him slide that ring onto my finger.
That ring sealed my death warrant. I lost my company, my dignity, and eventually, my life.
Until my lungs burned and my heart stopped, I didn't understand.
How could the people I trusted most plot my murder so ruthlessly?
Why did they have to tear my entire life apart?
Opening my eyes again, I was back on the morning of the hotel scandal, exactly one year ago.
But the man lying bare-backed in my bed wasn't a random escort.
It was Johnathan Chase, my family's biggest corporate rival and the most ruthless predator on Wall Street.
Listening to the paparazzi pounding on the door, I smiled coldly.

In the roaring flames of the abandoned warehouse, my skin blistered and peeled.
Through the crackling fire, my sister Elara's malicious voice echoed. She told me my husband, Damien, was dead, and it was all my fault.
For years, I had treated Damien like a monster. I fought him, threw tantrums, and desperately tried to escape our marriage, all because I blindly followed Elara's advice.
"Remember, the harder you fight, the more disgusted he'll get."
She texted me things like that, telling me to smash vases over his head and run away, claiming she was protecting me.
In reality, she was poisoning my mind, stealing my valedictorian spot at university, and plotting to crawl into my billionaire husband's bed.
My foolish rebellion cost me everything, ultimately leading to Damien's tragic death and my own fiery end.
As the massive explosion tore my consciousness to shreds, I finally understood who truly loved me and who the real monster was.
I died suffocating on my own agonizing regret, wishing I could tear Elara apart.
Then, a rush of freezing air punched into my lungs.
I opened my eyes to the crisp scent of cedar and mint. I was back seven years ago, on the very night our marriage was supposed to go to hell.
This time, looking at Damien's flawless, unscarred face, I didn't push him away.
I wrapped my arms around his neck and made a silent vow: I would make every single person who ever hurt him bleed.

I was tracing the gold paint on my own tombstone when a hand tapped me on the shoulder.
It was Clayton.
The same man who, five years ago, had left me bleeding out in a ditch because he didn't want to be late for my sister's engagement party.
"Die quietly, Ivy," he had said over the phone before hanging up.
Now, standing over my grave, he dropped his cheap plastic flowers in shock.
"Ivy? You're... we buried you."
They hadn't buried me.
They had buried an empty box to save face, mourning a "troubled" daughter they had actually discarded like broken trash the moment I became a liability.
Clayton's shock quickly turned to that familiar, arrogant anger.
He accused me of faking my death for attention.
He told me I was sick for putting the family through such pain.
He even reached out to grab my arm, intending to drag me back to my father to apologize.
"You're coming with me," he spat. "You owe us an explanation."
But he made a fatal mistake.
He thought he was talking to Ivy Dillard, the soft girl who cried when she skinned her knees.
He didn't notice the town car waiting at the curb, or the man stepping out of it.
Before Clayton's fingers could graze my coat, a hand made of steel caught his wrist.
Collin Richardson, the most feared Capo in Chicago, stepped between us.
"Touch my wife again," Collin whispered, his voice promising violence. "And you lose the hand."
I smiled at the terror draining the color from Clayton's face.
I didn't come back from the dead to explain myself.
I came back to bury them.

After an exhausting fourteen-hour flight, Katia returned to her Upper East Side penthouse, expecting the quiet comfort of the life she had built.
Instead, she found a pair of familiar red stilettos in the foyer and her fiancé, Caleb, tangled in their bedsheets with his twenty-two-year-old assistant.
She didn't scream or cry. She simply took off her three-carat engagement ring, threw it at his bare chest, and demanded he buy out her half of the penthouse by Friday.
Seeking to numb the sickening disgust, she got blackout drunk and crashed at a luxury hotel, accidentally stumbling into the wrong suite.
Thinking the imposing man inside was a high-end escort hired by her friend, she threw him over her shoulder and spent a wild night with him.
The next morning, she left five thousand dollars on his nightstand with a lipstick-stained note.
"Good Job."
For six years, she had funded Caleb's dreams and built his startup from the ground up, only to be treated like a lifeless ATM.
With ruthless precision, she spent the next two months systematically bankrupting his company, cutting off his venture capital, and erasing his life's work.
She felt no heartbreak, only a cold, calculating need to cleanse herself of his betrayal.
But when Katia finally returned to corporate headquarters to co-lead a massive merger, she literally crashed into the new Vice President.
Strong arms caught her waist, and the sharp scent of cedarwood and whiskey hit her like a freight train.
"You came back," Jackson whispered, his eyes burning as he stared at the woman who had treated him like a cheap gigolo.

On the morning of our twenty-fifth wedding anniversary, I found a cream-colored document tucked inside my husband's suit pocket.
It was a twenty-million-dollar asset transfer for his former receptionist, Carmen. But what made my blood run cold was the contingent beneficiary: Leo, my newborn son who the hospital claimed was kidnapped twenty-three years ago.
When I confronted Devonte, he didn't even try to explain. He handed me a fake Cartier watch, canceled all my credit cards, and publicly called me delusional.
The next day, he moved Carmen into our mansion and emptied all our joint accounts into offshore trusts.
"If you don't sign these papers and walk away, I will have you committed," he threatened, his mother nodding in agreement.
They had orchestrated the kidnapping of my baby, hiding him with the mistress while I spent half my life sedated and screaming in grief. Now, to keep his secret, Devonte was going to lock me in a psychiatric ward and bury me in debt.
I didn't understand how the man I loved could be such a monster. Why did he steal my child? What else was hidden in that confidential adoption file?
Pushed to the absolute brink, I refused to be his victim.
When his goons came to my temporary apartment to drag me away, I turned to the rugged union electrician who had just fixed my lights.
"If you need a husband to keep you out of a psych ward, I'll marry you," he said, offering himself as my legal shield.
I took his hand. It was time to tear my husband's perfect life apart.
