Chapter 4

ARIANA'S POV

"Honey aren't you being too hard on her," mum spoke up in my defence, but dad told her not to bother saying anything further again that his mind was made up.

I really feel so bad right now, but I don't want to leave my family again, besides the man I once left my family to be with ended up breaking my heart into pieces, so it would be best I just agree to my father's choice of husband.

"What have you decided?" Dad asked me, snapping me out of my thoughts.

"Baby you don't have to decide just yet, take your time, and I will try to talk to your father too," my mum held my hand even before I could say anything, making me sighed softly.

"I need your answer right now, so give it to me," dad said, while mum tried to plead with him.

"Mum, it's okay, I have already made my decision," I voiced out, and immediately I could see the sadness in her face right now.

"Baby, you don't have to leave again, you just got here, and I have really missed you so much," mum held onto my hands firmly, as she stared at me, eyes which hold no emotions.

"I'm going to marry Dylan," I spoke up, surprising everyone, and their glances became fixed on me.

"Baby are you sure about this?" Mum asked me, while I nodded immediately.

"You made the right choice then," dad said, with a grin now on his face.

"But dad I have a request to ask of you," I voiced out, while he turned fully to me again.

"Okay, what is that? Hope it's something I can grant you?" He asked me, as he dropped his spoon, while I swallowed hard, I became nervous immediately, as I tried to take my time to compose myself.

"I want Dylan and I to get into a relationship first before getting married," I spoke up, bowing my head, not being able to look at my father.

His face frightened me, and I really don't want to ask for what he wouldn't approve of.

"That's not a problem, you are free to court him for a while before you finally get married," he said, making me gasp, as I quickly looked up at him.

"Really daddy?" I asked him, while he nodded his head in response, making me grin immediately.

"Thank you so much daddy," I mouthed to him, as he urged me to eat up.

After a while I finally returned to myself bedroom, as I tried to get myself busy with something. My mind kept going to Sebastian who had broken my heart.

"I really wished I never met him in the first place, he is really so cruel," I muttered to myself, as my mind flashed back to all that he and his family had put me through.

"I hate you Sebastian and I'm going to make sure I never have anything to do with you ever again," I voiced out, as fresh tears welled up in my eyes.

I really wished I could bring that Sean family to their knees someday, because they have really made me go through hell, and I don't really deserve all the pain they made me go through.

All I ever did wrong was to love Sebastian. Somehow I wished I had listened to my parents from the very beginning, and ended my relationship with him, instead of getting married to him.

I thought as I sighed softly while I finally released the tears in my eyes.

Just then, my bedroom door cracked open, and I quickly wiped my tears, as I turned around to see my mum walking into the bedroom.

" Baby are you crying," mum asked as she had her seat just at the edge of my bed, making me sighed softly, as I looked up at her.

"No I'm not crying," I tried to speak, but it came out as a whisper.

"Come on baby, you don't have to lie to me," she said while wrapping her hands around me.

"Mummy, I didn't mean to lie to you, but I just don't want you to worry about me," I said, while sitting up on the bed.

"Thank you baby," she said, making me sigh as I wondered what she was thanking me for.

"Why are you thanking me?" I asked her, while she smiled and adjusted herself on the bed.

"For not leaving again," she said, making me just stare at her.

"I know you never really loved Dylan, and you don't want to have anything to do with him, but I'm happy you chose to stay back here," she said, while I moved closer to her.

"I had to, because I saw no reason not to," I told her, while she told me I had every reason to refuse and leave again.

"The man I love, doesn't want me, so I guess it's wise for me to go for the man that wants me," I said, as tears welled up in my eyes again, realising how I had chosen Sebastian over everything else.

"Mummy tell me, am I really that bad, that someone can't love me for real?" I asked her, as I finally released the tears I had been trying so hard to hold in.

"No baby you are perfect, and any guy who has you as his, is so lucky," she told me, as she finally hugged me tightly, as I broke down in tears.

"Then why did Sebastian hurt me this way? why doesn't he want me?" I voiced out my frustrations, as my mum heard me tightly on her shoulder.

"Baby it's okay, that guy really lost a precious jewel like you, so he is really so unlucky," she said trying to console me, but it's really so hard for me to accept that.

I'm so broken, and it's really hurt so badly, that her little words can't just make me stop feeling so bad and bitter.

"You really need to get over him soon, because he doesn't deserve someone as wonderful as you," she told me.

"It's really not as easy as you think mum, I really loved him so much," I told her, as more tears poured down my eyes like rain wetting her clothes.

"I understand you baby, but trust me you will really need to get over him soon," she said, while patting my back.

My mum was one amazing person in my life, she is really so supportive, and understanding unlike my father, and to be honest, I really wished I never left home before.

She must have really missed me when I left him, to go after a man who doesn't care about me.

I thought as I feel so bad about my actual decision.

"Mummy, I'm so sorry for leaving in the first place, I shouldn't have done something like that," I apologise to her, as I raised my head from her shoulder, and stared at her.

"It's totally fine, and I understand why you had to do that, so I can't be mad at you," she told me, while taking my palms into hers.

"I will always support your decision baby, because I know you deserve the best," she added, making me break into another round of tears.
