Chapter 3

ARIANA'S POV

"I have signed them, you can confirm it before leaving." I told him, as he quickly started opening it while still standing in front of me.

"Yes, I have seen them, so goodbye." He said, and turned around as he started walking away immediately.

I watched him calmly, as tears welled up in my eyes immediately. It was like he never loved you for even a bit. I thought as I finally went back in shutting the door between him as I rested my back against the door.

Tears poured down my cheeks, as I try to stop myself from crying, but couldn't as more cry flowed down my eyes.

"Sabastian never really loved me, he had always been pretending that he loved me before we got married." I voiced out, and sat on the floor still closer to the door, and broke down into another round of tears.

The hurt I was feeling was just too much, I really deserve to be loved, and not to be treated this way. I thought as more tears poured down my cheeks.

"You have to put yourself together Ariana, you really have to." I told myself, and try to stand up from the floor, but then my mind went to all the hurt words he had been saying to me.

I couldn't help but Fall back into the floor, and started another round of crying.

Samantha heard my voice from inside the kitchen, and soon came to me. "Ariana please you really don't have to do this again." She said, while trying to lift me up from the floor.

"I have to," I just responded to her, but she kept giving me a reason not to cry.

"Samantha I have signed the divorce papers already, so we are both never coming back together again." I finally spoke up, since she was talking about him thinking about all he had done to me and coming back to plead.

"So you mean he came here, with the paper?" She found it hard to believe it.

"Yes, and he wasn't feeling remorseful about what he did to me." I pulsed for a while before I continued.

"In Fact he was really happy that we are getting divorce." I added,

"What!" She exclaimed, while I just nodded.

"He is really so unbelievable, but trust me he would definitely regret his actions, I can say that for sure." She said to comfort me, but honestly I wasn't really comforted even a bit.

"I guess he has always wanted me out of his life, so he could finally have his mistress as his wife, so I can totally understand." I said, making her sighed softly.

"Does he have a mistress?" She asked me, making me sighed softly before nodding my head.

"She even came to the house at night the day I left, and I bet by then she must have moved into our bedroom." I told her to widen her eyes in disbelief.

"Oh my goodness that's really bad, I'm so sorry about that." She apologised, but I told her there was no need for that.

I started crying again, but she was there this time to console me, And after a while I finally stopped crying as she wiped my tears immediately.

She brought some water for me, which I drank before she left the sitting room.

I continued crying about my divorce for a few days, while Samantha was always there to console me. But I just had to cry so that I could release all the pain I was feeling inside.

After some more days I finally told myself that it was time to stop crying about Sabastian, because I was sure he was leaving his best life now.

It was morning, and I was having breakfast with Samantha in the dining room, when I decided to tell her about what I had planned to do.

"Now that my marriage to Sabastian is over, I guess it's time for me to return back home." I told her, making her turn to me immediately.

"Home what do you mean?" She asked me, making me sighed softly realising I haven't really told her about my family from the very beginning.

"I know you would be confused, but I will explain." I sighed softly, as she finally turned fully to me, waiting for my explanation, before I started.

"Well I actually left him because my parents didn't support my relationship with Sabastian." I pulsed to catch my breath before I continued.

"They wanted me to marry someone else, but I didn't really want to, so I had to leave to marry Sabastian." I finally concluded my speech.

"Oh my goodness, I actually thought you never had any family according to what you told me." She said, and I sighed softly realising that was actually what I told her, but I have to explain to her now.

"I had to say that because to me they have already disowned me since I left home, so I'm just going to plead with them, since there is nothing I'm doing here now." I explained to her, making her sighed softly.

"Okay so when do you intend to leave?" She asked me.

"Tomorrow." I responded to her, making her gasp.

"You are leaving tomorrow and didn't see any reason to tell me before now?" She frowned and I quickly apologised to her.

She told me she was going to miss me, and I also told the same. As we continued eating our food, and once we were done, I left the dining room.

The following morning, I took my bags and left for my parents place. It was in another City so I had to leave early.

Once I stepped into the house, I was surprised that my mum was happy and even hugged me.

"I have missed you so much Ariana." Mum said as she hugged me tightly not wanting to let go.

"Mum, I have also missed you so much." I told her, as she finally pulled me to a couch where we both sat down.

"Oh you are back home after fleeing for a year now." I heard dad's voice, making me look up, as I feel ashamed of myself.

I never really expected to come back to this house, but now all what I had planned didn't work out. Sabastian hurt me so badly.

"How is your husband?" He asked me, standing in front of me right now. I couldn't respond to him, as I kept calm, while blinking my lashes rapidly.

"Ariana why aren't you answering my questions?" He asked me, making me swallow hard immediately.

"We are no longer together." I finally responded to his questions, making mum gasp, as she turned to look at me.

"What happened?" Mum asked me, but I just told her I don't want to talk about it, and pleaded with her not to ask me about it.

"It's so obvious, the boy never really loved her, she was the only one dying after him before." My father said, making me feel hurt again, and tears well up in my eyes again.

"Ariana is that true?" Mum asked, as she stared at me for an answer.

"Please mum not now, I should go to my bedroom." I said, and rose to my feet, as I got ready to leave the sitting room.

"Not so fast, young lady." Dad said, stopping me from walking further as I turned to him.

"You can't just leave this house for a year, and just come back to stay." He said, and I immediately knew he had something more to say, as fear cramped into my mind.

Was he going to send me away or what? This question popped into my head as I stood still watching him, and waiting for him to say what he was preparing to say.

"Honey please let her be, she had gone through a heartbreak, so she really doesn't need you to add to it." Mum pleaded, and she sign me to go ahead, while she held onto my father's hand.

Thankfully he didn't stop me from going and, as I could hear them both murmured under their breath to each other as I dragged my bags away.

Dad really would have sent me back to where I was coming from if mum didn't really step into the case.

I guess I owe mum a lot. I thought and sighed softly as I finally went into my bedroom.

Later at noon we were sitting in the dining room together having lunch, when dad started clearing his throat.

I knew he was about to say something else now, so I just had to wait for him to do so, as I pulsed and fixed my glances on him.

Mum noticed and asked me why I stopped eating. "Mum, it is so obvious that your husband wants to say something, so I want to listen." I told her, making her turn to my father.

"Is that true?" She asked him, and he nodded and smiled at her.

"I have told you not to think of scolding her, especially not now." Mum spoke in my defence, but dad just kept calm for a while.

"You have to allow me to say what I want to say first before you start talking." Dad said, while she finally kept calm, and urged him to say it.

"Ariana, I will not be so easy on you, because you made your decision without thinking about what would happen, so you don't have to blame me now." My father said, making me swallow hard, as my glances remained fixed on him.

"Yes you are my only child, but I can't keep quiet and allow you to do whatever you want." He continued, while I opened my mouth to speak but nothing was coming out.

"I have also decided that I'm going to give you two options." He said, and mum jumped in, but dad shut her up almost immediately.

"This is between the both of us, you don't have to come in." Dad said, making mum calm immediately, as I knew I was now on my own.

"What are the options?" I finally asked Dad, making him clear his throat again.

"You will have to either marry Dylan or leave my house forever and never return."
