Meant To Be Yours
Meant To Be Yours Chapter 1
Her POV
I slowly opened my eyes and faintly saw a pair of silver eyes peering into mine.
My vision was blurry; I couldn’t see clearly.
I forced myself to lie still and tried to piece together exactly what the hell was going on.
My whole body was cramping with pain. I closed my eyes, hoping the pain would ease, but no — it increased drastically.
“Hey, how are you doing?” a cool voice asked, and all I could manage was a small nod that made my neck ache.
“What’s your name?” the same voice asked again.
My name? I thought.
My lips quivered, feeling too heavy to form a word. My name? What’s my name? I repeated inwardly.
Where am I?
How did I get here?
My vision was still blurry, mixed with the terrible pain radiating mostly from my head.
“Hey, are you hearing me? You okay?” I heard the same voice again.
I nodded, still unable to talk. I tightened my eyes shut and reopened them, hoping it would clear my vision.
It worked.
The first thing I saw clearly was the most handsome guy I had ever seen.
I’ve ever seen?… I couldn’t even remember seeing any other guy apart from this one in front of me, so I didn’t know if he was truly the most handsome — but damn, this guy was beyond handsome.
His eyes were pure silver, so clear I would swear they could reflect my image perfectly if I got close enough. His black hair fell in a slight wave down to his shoulders. His high cheekbones and sharp jaw looked perfect, and his lips… oh my—
Gosh!!
I swallowed hard.
He shifted beside me on the bed, snapping me out of my infatuation.
“Wh…o a…re y…ou?” I managed to stutter, but regretted it immediately as a sharp pain ripped through my head.
I let out a cry.
“Hey, are you okay?” the guy asked. I gave a small nod, unable to take my eyes off him.
“It seems you’re having difficulty talking, but there’s nothing to worry about. I’m gonna tell you everything, okay?” he said reassuringly.
I nodded and tried to sit up, but then noticed I wasn’t wearing anything under the blanket.
I stared at him, eyes wide.
Did he—
“Did you get me unclad?!” I asked.
“My sis did,” he said, and I sighed in relief.
His sister? He has a sister? Well… I’m glad he wasn’t the one who undressed me.
“She went to get you some clothes. She’ll be back soon. I think I should get you some coffee; it might help clear your throat. I’ll be back,” he said before walking toward the door. I stared at his back until he left.
He didn’t only look handsome — he had a great, masculine body too.
I kept staring into space until I heard footsteps returning. He walked to the bed with a cup of steaming coffee in hand.
“Here,” he said, stretching the cup toward me. I tried to take it, but my hands felt weak; they trembled. He quickly placed the coffee on the bedside table and helped me sit up while I held the blanket against me.
“Thanks,” I said.
With my back resting against the headboard, I took the coffee and gulped it down, enjoying the warm liquid against my sore throat.
I placed the empty cup on the bedside table and muttered a soft “thank you.”
I felt a little better. The coffee felt like medication — it had eased some of the pain. But now, I badly needed to pee.
I cleared my throat and looked at him.
“Hmm… I’m feeling pressed. Can I use the restroom, please?” I asked.
“Of course. That way,” he said, pointing to a small door behind the fireplace.
“Thanks.”
I was about to get up when I realized I couldn’t walk naked into the restroom — not with him here.
Gosh!!
“Can you please turn around?” I asked, embarrassed.
“Oh… no problem,” he said and turned his back.
I clutched the blanket to my chest and let it trail behind me. I staggered toward the restroom. My legs felt numb, and the hand holding the blanket was getting weak as well.
“Are you okay?” he asked, still facing away.
“Arr… I’m okay,” I said, though I definitely wasn’t. I took a few more steps before tripping. The blanket slipped from my body, and my eyes widened as I saw his neck turning.
“Don’t turn!” I shouted, but it was too late. He had already turned.
Dammit!!
Miguel’s POV
Fleur would be glad the lady was awake. She had been unconscious since yesterday when Fleur and I found her outside.
We thought she was dead at first, but Fleur checked her pulse and realized she was still breathing.
“We have to save her,” Fleur had said, and we both carried her inside the house — Fleur’s room, to be precise.
We took logs of wood from the store and lit the fireplace to keep her warm.
Fleur slept beside her until daybreak, only leaving when she had to go out and get the lady some clothes. It was obvious they weren’t the same size; the lady had more flesh in the right places.
Silly me… I know, right?
I sat beside her after Fleur left and almost got lost staring at her.
She was beautiful even in her unconscious state.
It took hours before she finally opened her eyes, and I saw the most beautiful black eyes staring back at me.
It was clear she was in pain.
“Hey, are you okay?” I asked, and she nodded. She tried to talk, but her words weren’t coming out right, so I had to explain things to her.
I had almost laughed when she asked if I was the one who got her unclad. I mean—her voice had been stern when she said it.
I was glad the coffee I brewed cleared her throat. Her English accent was fluent, and her voice sounded perfect — like a musician’s.
All thanks to my coffee, though.
I pointed her to the bathroom when she asked, and when she told me to turn around, I did. She needed her privacy.
Then I heard a loud thud and worried that she might have hurt herself, so I turned.
“Don’t turn!” she shouted, but it was too late because I already had.
And I saw… everything. I mean everything underneath that blanket.
Argh!!
