Chapter 2

~Daphne's POV~

Mason stood up, as he walked towards me, who was frozen at the door. He ran a hand through his hair, trying to stay calm, but deep down I knew he was just following the Alpha orders.

Leaning in close, his breath brushed against my ear, making me shiver. "I, Mason, the beta of the Moonstone pack, reject you, Daphne, the filth rogue, as my mate."

"You're lucky the Alpha is here, I would have tasted this sexy body of yours before rejecting you" he whispered, each word cutting through the air like a knife.

I felt my heart shatter, but I fought to keep my composure. My body shook, but I swallowed hard, refusing to let the tears fall. Bryce's voice echoed in my mind. "There's no way I'm rejecting you Daphne."

I knew what he just said was a big lie-maybe not now, but he was going to reject me eventually. I ran out of the room without even looking back. "No matter where you run to, I'll find you, Daphne," was the last thing I heard him say, laughing out loud.

Running down the stairs, I saw Mr. Raymond passing by. "Daphne!" He called out, but I didn't answer him. I got out of the club, and I didn't stop running until I got home, which was nothing but a closet and barely comfortable.

Collapsing on my worn-out bed that was crying for help, I felt so heartbroken and couldn't stop my tears from flowing heavily. The pain I felt today was something I couldn't explain.

I always thought finding my mate would make me happy, but seeing Bryce belong to someone else and Mason rejecting me was the worst torture I didn't expect.

I couldn't sleep at all; my head was pounding from crying so hard for hours. My eyes were puffy and swollen already; there was nothing I could do, so I decided to take my mind off it by going for a walk. Checking the time, it was already 12 a.m.

I needed to clear my head. Maybe some fresh air would help. As I stood up, I suddenly caught a scent. The scent was familiar. My heart leaped into my throat as I recognised the scent. It was Alpha Bryce, and he found me.

I opened my door only to find him standing there with a sinister smile. He had a strong jawline and jet black hair that added to his mysterious allure, but I noticed he wasn't alone; he was with his guards and his beta, Mason.

The moment my eyes met his, I could feel the hatred coming out of him, and something about their presence told me I was in danger. "Ho..how did you find me?"

"I still wonder why the Moon goddess mated me with a damn rogue," he said, totally ignoring my question. My heart shattered at Bryce's words again. I felt like my whole world was collapsing around me.

"Let's make this quick, Daphne." I love my wife, so I can't accept you as my mate, and I can't reject you either, but I need you for something more important." He whispered.

"You have to bear me a child, and after that, you'd be free to go." He said. "And why can't you have a child with Xena? Why do you need me?" I fired back, my voice rising in anger.

"Because I have to bear a child with my destined mate for my powers to be unlocked," Bryce replied coldly. "Your destined mate, who is a rogue?"

"I'm not interested," I said confidently this time. I wasn't going to let him use me. "I'm not a baby-making machine."

"You have no choice, Daphne." He replied. "You can't be serious!" I exclaimed. Bryce looked at me, his expression serious.

"It's not a choice, and if you don't accept, I'll have you killed because you're a rogue in my pack. So you better choose wisely." Bryce was giving me a choice, but it wasn't a choice at all. It was a threat.

"You can't do this. If you want me gone from the pack then I'll disappear and never show my face here again."

"I'm sorry, but I can't let you go," Bryce said, his voice unyielding. "I don't have time to waste. Take her to the car," he ordered, irritated by my voice. As the guards held me, I tried to struggle, but they were too strong.

I felt helpless as they dragged me like a puppet being controlled by someone else. "Stop!" I screamed, my voice hoarse. "Let me go!" But my screams fell on deaf ears.

The guards continued to pull me towards the car. I stumbled as they pushed me inside. I knew, deep down, that his promises were fake. He wouldn't let me go after I gave birth.

He gave me a cold, satisfied smile. It was as if he had just won a game, and I was the prize. I closed my eyes, trying to block out the world around me. But it was of no use. I was trapped in a nightmare, forced into a life I never wanted.

We arrived at the pack house after a few minutes. The pack house was undoubtedly beautiful, adorned with a gold chandelier and expensive furniture.

Xena rushed towards Bryce and embraced him, planting a kiss on his lips. "Welcome home, hun," she said. "So you finally brought this slut home."

"I'm not a slut," I fired back with rage. "I'm the Luna of this pack, and you have no right to speak to me like that, you dirty rogue. And if you don't start treating me with some respect, I'll make your life here a living hell!"

As if sensing my anger, Bryce signaled a maid to come over. "Take her to her room now," he ordered, his voice serious. The young lady took my arm and led me down the hall.

Getting to the room, I went straight to the bed and sat down as I let the tears I had been holding flow. "My name is Ciara. Do you need anything?" She asked softly.

"No, I'm good," I replied, and with that, she left. I curled myself up like a ball on the bed, sobbing uncontrollably. I never wished for a life like this; after my pack was engulfed in a fire by our enemies years ago, I had been suffering since then.

Being the only survivor, I grew up as a rogue in the forest until my late father found me, and he knew he couldn't just leave a kid behind all by herself, so he took me in even when other pack members despised him for it.

I wished for a family only to become Bryce's baby-making machine. My thoughts were interrupted when I suddenly heard the door to my room open. Getting up, I saw it was Bryce.

"What are you doing here?" I asked, trying to keep my voice steady. "This is my house, and I can be wherever I want," he said, his smile turning into a smirk. "Just leave me alone I'm not in the mood for this" I said.

"Oh, I think you are. The earlier you get pregnant, the better for you. Now, take off your clothes, Daphne. I'm not going to repeat myself."

"No, I'm not going to." I wasn't going to give in to his demands this time. I watched as his expression suddenly darkened.

"I told you I'm not going to repeat myself," he growled and before I knew what was happening, he grabbed me and pinned me with his body. I tried to get rid of him, but he was way stronger.

He was 6 feet tall and built like a rock, unlike me, who is petite and fragile. I stand no chance. "Bryce, please stop!" He didn't budge. This wasn't how I imagined losing my virginity.

He ripped off my nightwear with one hand to show how strong he was. "You're mine," he grunts out, and then I scream as he sinks his teeth into my neck, his hot breath itching my skin.

I just lay motionless, like a log of wood. I was in so much pain but dared not complain if I didn't want to end up beaten. "Better spread those legs well before I break them for you." Bryce said using his hands to push my legs apart.

After the intense sex, Bryce fell on his back, breathing heavily, as he was done with me. He didn't bother looking at my face to see the pain he had caused me; he didn't care about how I felt.

I was just his object. On my 19th birthday, I lost my virginity to Alpha Bryce, and I'm now officially marked, making me bound to him forever.
