Chapter 3

~Daphne's POV~

It was already one month of living with a monster, living like a prisoner, and being treated like a sexual object by my own mate just because he wanted a child to unlock his powers.

I was tired of being constantly beaten and humiliated by Xena and Bryce. They made me personally prepare their breakfast every morning as part of making me suffer.

I stood up from the bed, not wanting to be late, but suddenly I felt a wave of dizziness hit me, and my head started pounding. I tried to shake off the feeling, but it was of no use. My head felt like it was going to explode, and my vision was blurry.

I knew I had to get to the kitchen and start preparing breakfast, no matter what. So I took a quick bath and hurried to the kitchen. Immediately after I was done, I took a deep breath before carrying the tray of food to the dining room.

Hearing their voices alone sent shivers down my spine. "Good morning, Alpha and Luna," I said as I set the food on the table. Before I could even straighten up, Alpha Bryce's hand came flying at me and landed a hard slap across my face.

The force of the blow made my ears ring and my eyes water. "Breakfast is supposed to be served by 8 a.m, and you're bringing the food by 8:30, so you enjoy keeping us waiting," Bryce yelled.

"I wasn't feeling good but I still tried my best to serve you, what more do you want from me?" I asked.

"Oh, I see you still have this sharp mouth of yours" As I was trying to figure out how to respond, Xena grabbed my hair tightly.

"Next time you're late with breakfast, you'll receive a punishment much worse than this." She whispered in my ears before pushing me to the floor. "Now get out, you stinking rogue," Bryce spat at me.

I tried to get up, but my legs felt weak and my vision was still blurry. I could feel the bile rising in my throat, and the next thing I felt was my body hitting against the hard floor. Then everything went black.

The last thing I heard was Xena and Bryce's voices echoing in my head. "Just look at this disgusting creature. No wonder she was abandoned."

As I slowly regained consciousness, I couldn't remember how I ended up in my room. But some voices caught my attention. I turned my face to see that it was Alpha, Bryce, and Xena. I could hear Xena's voice.

It was obvious that she was upset and that whatever was going on was causing her a great deal of stress. "I don't want her here any longer!" Xena's voice sounded rising. "She needs to go, now!" and right there, I knew she was talking about me.

"Xena, I promise to send her away when she gives birth; that's the plan, and we won't just be sending her away; we are going to sell Daphne to Theo, the ruthless Alpha King of the Silver Pack, as a slave." Bryce said.

"And then I'll rule the world with you by my side after my powers are unlocked." He said this to Xena. My heart sank as I heard Bryce's words. Bryce comes from a long line of powerful werewolves.

And there was a prophecy that he would become even more powerful if he had a child with his destined mate. He never found his destined mate, so he got married to Xena and promised to use his destined mate for a child and not leave Xena.

I tried to stay calm and quiet so as not to make them notice that I was awake. I heard the two of them laughing, and the sound of their kiss made me feel sick. How could he do this to me? How do I escape this?

He wasn't going to keep his promise; this was his plan all along. The door opened, interrupting their discussion as the doctor walked in. "Greetings, Alpha and Luna," he said, bowing his head.

"The test results are out, and I have good news," the doctor said, walking towards me. I was still trying to understand everything until the doctor said something that made me freeze.

"Daphne is pregnant." "Wh..What?" I stammered, shocked by the doctor's announcement. "I tried to sit up, but my body was still weak and uncooperative.

How could I possibly be pregnant? Tears began to well up in my eyes again as I knew how they planned on selling me after I gave birth. "You should be happy because after you give birth, you're free to go," Bryce said with a grin.

But I knew his words weren't true; he was just a pathetic liar. I was trapped forever. I looked up at Xena and saw that her expression wasn't one of happiness or relief.

In fact, she looked furious. Xena never liked me, and now I had given her a reason to hate me even more. "The Alpha is back!" The guards yelled, causing the entire building to shake.

"Oh, just when I have good news, my father is back," Bryce said, smiling. I haven't seen his father since I was brought here because I was told he had gone on an important trip.

"Xena will prepare something for you to wear. I'll be introducing you to my dad and sharing the good news; I don't want you looking like shit," he said as they all walked out of the room, leaving me alone.

I lay down on the bed, placing my hand on my tummy. I could feel the tiny life growing inside me. This little pup was my responsibility now, and I would do whatever it took to be with him or her.

"Mummy would never leave you," I said to my pup.

After a while, I got up and made my way to Alpha Bryce's room. I slowly entered Bryce's room for the first time and saw Xena sitting on the bed. She looked at me with disgust.

"Don't feel you have a place here because you're carrying the Alpha's child." Xena said as she handed me a dress, reminding me of what I heard them saying.

"When you're done, meet us in the living room. I'll have a maid bring in fruit juice for you so you don't faint again." I just nodded as I watched Xena leave the room. I quickly put on the dress, not wanting to keep Bryce's father waiting.

As I was about to leave, the door was pushed open, and in came Ciara, the maid. Thanks to Ciara, I never felt lonely in this house.

"Oh, hello, Ma'am!" Ciara said with a smile as she handed the fruit juice to me. "Your skin is glowing today, and you've gained some weight too."

"I guess you've been feeding me well," I replied with a laugh. I didn't want her to know I was pregnant yet.

"I know you're scared to meet Bryce's parents, but you'd do just fine," Ciara said, reassuring me. I gulped down the juice before leaving the room; my eyes remained fixed on the ground. My mind was filled with fear.

Finally I go there. "You're welcome, Alpha," I managed to say, my voice barely above a whisper.

"You can raise your head now," he replied, his voice filled with authority. I obeyed, my eyes slowly lifting to meet his gaze. And in that moment, I felt my heart stop beating instantly. There was no way I could forget what he looked like.

Standing in front of me was Alpha Zeus, the one who destroyed my pack eight years ago. He was the one who had taken everything from me. I stood there gasping for breath as Alpha Zeus looked at me.

"You look familiar," he said, his voice low and dangerous. "Have we met before?"

"No, no, no," I stuttered. Suddenly, a guard ran in, interrupting our discussion. "We've just been attacked, my lord," he said, bowing his head as he trembled. I felt fear coursing through my whole body as I stood there too.

"Secure the main gate," Alpha Zeus said. "The main gate has fallen, my lord," the guard uttered.

"What?" My heart sank as I heard the guard's words. Alpha Zeus's face turned pale, and his hands balled into fists. "Send out the warriors," he ordered the guard. "And get everyone else to safety."

The guard nodded and ran as he had been ordered. But as he opened the door, there were masked men who blocked the doorway. They were huge, towering over the guard who had come to report the attack.

They were fast enough to defeat all the warriors and get to the main house. They had heavy axes, and their faces were hidden by black masks that made them look like terrifying, faceless monsters.

The largest of the men stepped forward, his broad shoulders filling the doorway. He looked like the leader, and his presence was intimidating. "We've come for what is ours," he growled, his words sending a chill down my spine.

The guards drew their swords and rushed at the masked men, but they were no match for the imposing figure who stood before them. With a single swing of his axe, he took down three of the guards.

For some reason, my feet were stuck to the ground, unable to move as I watched the horror unfold. Alpha Zeus and Mason tried also, but were given a heavy blow that made them pass out instantly.

Then I saw Bryce drawing out his sword. He moved towards the leader, who turned to face him. Bryce And the masked man faced off, his swords clashing in the air.

The masked man was stronger and faster, and he was quickly on the defensive. The masked man's blows were brutal, making Bryce bleed while he struggled to keep up.

Finally, the masked man knocked Bryce's sword from his hand, making him fall to the ground. The masked man raised his axe, ready to deliver the killing blow.

But before he could strike, my voice rang out, "Stop!" The masked man turned, and there I stood, my eyes filled with rage. "Can I kill him myself?" I asked, trembling with rage.
