Chapter 6
Catherine:
It had been a month since Mom was gone...
It took from me a few weeks to stand back on my feet and start my life.
Of course I had to move out from our apartment, and even movefrom the city. I couldn't let him find me, not when he offered me to go back home with him in my mother's funeral.
I sighed, staring at my computer, not feeling well to work.
I finally started working as a writer at a publishing company, it's not the best job, but since I loved writing it was great!
"Are you sure everything's fine?" Pam asked, her tone holding concern.
Pam was my boss at work. I'd been working at her company for only two weeks, butI could tell she was a good person.
"Yeah, why?" I answered her, but she squinted. "Nothing, it's just that...your pale face is saying the complete opposite" Pam pointed to my face.
"If you're sick, or tired, you can have the rest of the day off..." She added, but I shook my head instantly, interrupting her.
"No, I'm fine..." I started, but before I got to finish my sentence, my head suddenly started spinning, and I could feel a sudden pain in my stomach. I placed my hand over my mouth, suddenly feeling like I was about to puck.
"Excuse me..." I pushed my chair, then stormed outside my office, and rushed toward the restroom, trying so hard not to embarrass myself in front of all my coworkers by vomiting on the whole place.
As soon as I entered the ladies' restroom, I bumped into one of my coworkers. Her strong perfume made it even worse, and I couldn't hold it back any longer.
"Are you blind?" She questioned, but I ignored her, running directly toward the sink.
I bent over the sink as another wave of pain struck before I let the sobs out.
I washed up and stepped out of the restroom, my feet barely holding me back to my office. I found Pam standing with a worried look on her face.
"You should see a doctor. Come on, I'll give you a ride" Pam offered, but I shook my head as a no.
"I have to finish this essay..." I was about to protest but she didn't take no for an answer.
"You can finish it later, come on!" She said, heading toward her office and leaving me to gather my stuff.
Pam passed by my office, holding the keys in her hand, "You need help?" She offered, but I shook my head, following her as I held my purse.
"Maybe it's just the food..." I said, but she simply nodded as she opened the door for me.
Isn't she so sweet? She had been nothing but an angel to me, always giving me help, and treating me nicely.
"I know this is going to sound kind of inappropriate to ask, but..." She started, but paused for a moment, starting her car.
I shot her a questioning look, waiting for her to continue.
"Is there any chance that you’re pregnant?" She asked, her eyes finally meeting mine.
"What? No, that's not possible..." I said, but I paused when I suddenly remembered that night…
Oh my god! Was it possible? My period was only a few days late, but that wasn't the reason, right? It wasn’t because I was pregnant…
I shot Pam a terrified look, and she only looked away from me, seeming surprised. "Okay, let's just not jump into conclusions already. First you're gonna have to see the doctor...maybe it's just food" She repeated my words, but I can feel my eyes watering all of a sudden.
What if I was pregnant? Oh my god!
I started to freak out already as images of that night started haunting me like always, but I couldn't recall whether he used protection or not! What if he didn't?
I covered my face from embarrassment. That was such an awkward situation, what would Pam, my new boss, think of me? She'd definitely replace me! I’d been on that job for only two weeks and I was already sick and having issues!
"Hey, everything is going to be fine, okay? I've been there..." Pam said, my eyes staring into hers.
"Really?" I was surprised, but her words kind of made me feel a bit relaxed.
"I'm a single mom...But I think it's the best thing that ever happened to me. And I don't even know who the father is!" She smiled nervously.
"You don't?" I asked, she only nodded.
"I suppose if you found out you're pregnant then you already know who the father is..." She said, and it took from me a moment before nodding a yes.
"It won't make any difference though" I said, and she frowned before turning to look at the road.
"It's just complicated" I shook my head, my eyes staring blankly toward the road. Pam inhaled, then didn’t want to push it harder, so she chose to stay quiet while fixing her eyes on the road.
My phone suddenly broke the silence, making me almost jump in my seat from surprise. I narrowed my eyes once I realized it was an unknown number.
Terror crept through my whole body. I changed my number a month ago, it wasn’t possible for my father to reach for it! I looked at Pam who was staring at me with a curious look on her face.
I hesitated for a moment but I decided to pick up. "Hello?" I answered, waiting for the person on the other line to speak, but all I could hear was his heavy breath.
I frowned, waiting a few more seconds before I hung up. I didn't know why, but I was suddenly feeling bad for answering.
I was sure of one thing, that was not my father…

"Don't touch me, you monsters!" I screamed, thrashing away from them but it was futile. I was like a little cotton ball they could crumple in their hands because I was pinned to the floor. Dante held my hands as if I was a broomstick and the other, Caius held my legs with just a simple hand without putting any effort. Cassian stood like the big brother he was, watching, giving the orders and Elias squatted before me.

He pulled my skirt upwards, used his fingers to rub my pussy which suddenly reacted to his touch and ripped the thong in one swift drag , brushing my delicate core purposely.
I begged, I cried, scared of what they're going to do to me but they were suddenly stones, concerned on what they wanted alone.
"Beat her pretty pink little pussy until she screams." Cassian ordered and I gasped, my heartbeat slamming against my ribs like a war drum.
No.
No, no, no.
"Like this?" He asked darkly, slapping my pussy hard, pain and tingles spread across my body and I screamed.
"Fuck, she's throbbing brother." Elias growled and Cassian nodded, his eyes fixed on my folds.
"Just like that Elias!" He growled, "beat her and show her what it means to defile our rules."

Four years ago, to protect the man I loved from losing his billionaire empire, I drugged his drink, told him I only used him for his money, and vanished.
Now, at a high-society gala, Callum Wyatt is back. He isn't just a CEO anymore; he's a ruthless predator, and the second his eyes lock onto me, I know I am his prey.

In the back of his Maybach, he pinned my arms above my head, his eyes burning with psychotic obsession.
"If you run again, Aubrey, I will burn your entire world to the ground just to keep you."
My heart bled. I had spent four grueling years tearing myself apart to keep him out of my messy, blood-soaked revenge against the family that watched my mother die.
But his terrifying protection only made my biological father's family target me harder, using their massive capital to buy out my movie set and crush my acting career.
They thought I would cower.
But as I walked onto the soundstage, facing the heiress trying to steal my role, I took off my sunglasses. I wasn't running anymore; it was time to make them pay.

After growing up in an orphanage, Corrine thought marrying billionaire Cristofer Clarke would finally give her a loving family.
But her husband didn't care about her; he was busy hosting a late-night pool party with a Hollywood actress while she went into agonizing premature labor.
During her emergency C-section, Corrine nearly bled to death alone, and her newborn daughter was sent to the NICU fighting for her tiny life.
But nobody told Cristofer the truth about her suffering. A corrupt nanny easily framed Corrine as an unstable mother who starved his unborn heirs.
So he ruthlessly ordered his team to lock her in a psychiatric ward, while his aristocratic mother and sister stormed her ICU room, throwing a relinquishment contract onto her bleeding surgical wounds.
"We're actually doing you a favor, sweetie. Because honestly? Who knows who the father of those premature freaks really is."
After surviving hemorrhagic shock and watching her husband walk in to look at her with pure disgust, her last shred of hope completely shattered.
Sitting up with fresh blood soaking her torn stitches, Corrine ripped the contract to shreds and stared dead into his eyes.
"That's right. I'm just in it for the money. Get your checkbook ready, Cristofer. I'll see you in court."

I was sold to Damien Russo, the ruthless Don of Chicago, as collateral in a shipping route transaction. I was expected to be a silent, obedient bride in a cold, loveless marriage.
But the moment I stepped into the Russo estate, I realized my new family wanted to completely destroy me.
My mother-in-law, Eleonora, and her arrogant relatives immediately targeted me. They set traps in the solarium, mocked my late mother's heritage, and tried to force me into humiliating submission using their strict mafia traditions. They wanted to break my spirit so Damien would replace me with the bride they actually wanted—a purebred mafia princess. They expected me to cower in fear, isolated and helpless, while the whole family watched my public humiliation and waited for my downfall.
Did they really think I was just a fragile girl who would cry and run away? They completely underestimated the survival instincts of a woman who grew up in this bloody world. I learned long ago that tears are worthless.
"My rules are simple. Vendetta is a two-way street."
Instead of breaking, I smiled. I weaponized their own legendary ancestors and the sacred promise of an unborn heir to trap the Matriarch in her own rules, forcing her into a suffocating silence. If they wanted a war for the throne, I would gladly show them exactly why I am the undisputed Mafia Queen.
