Chapter 2

Chiara walked softly on the red tiles that line the entrance to the Santiago restaurant, a beautiful restaurant with a great view of the ocean. This view has always been pulling her and giving her comfort as she looks at the distant waves breaking in the depths of the ocean in front of her...

The sound of her high heels knocking on the floor as she swayed with her slender figure and slender waist, walking between the dining tables on which few customers came to eat their breakfast this early morning.

A breeze of fresh sea air blew her long blond hair and flew tufts of hair on her face. She took a deep breath from it, hoping that this breeze would relieve her mind of his many thoughts.

She carefully sat on one of the chairs, paying attention to her short skirt above the knee so that it would not wrinkle.

Why is Santiago retiring from restaurant management?!

Why would he decide to sell it? What a loss!”

Many memories crossed her memory throughout her 22 years of life, in which she spent the most beautiful time in this restaurant. Kiara opened her wallet.

She took out an old picture and kept looking at her while she was straying in thought, a picture of her mother with her tender eyes, remembering the days she spent with her when they were sitting and laughing without any concern for any problems and worries in this world. She felt lost without her mother in her life. Kiara could not believe that it has now been six years since her mother's death, and since those painful moments, her father has stopped talking to her! Everything changed after that dreary day.

Her thoughts were interrupted by the voice of her friend, Lily, as she sat on the chair opposite her.

"I think you heard that there are people interested in buying the restaurant?"

Her friend, with short red hair and big green eyes, works as a waitress at a Santiago restaurant, and they have known each other since Chiara moved to Kipisconi seven months ago.

Kiara's answer.

"Yes."

She looks around at this beautiful place teeming with life, wondering why the owner of the restaurant would like to throw it away and get rid of it to turn it into a shop selling antiques and gifts in the hands of its new owners?! Unbelievable because there are a lot of similar stores close to the restaurant!!

Santiago Restaurant is in its old and historic building. It has a beautiful character that does not deserve to be destroyed. She remembered when she used to visit him every summer all her life. What a loss!!

"I'm sorry, Kiara. I wish I could have done something or found a way to help us save the place before it was sold!"

“If I could rent the hotel on the coast at a higher price, I would be able to buy this restaurant myself with my share of the brokerage.”

She said while looking at the picture in her hand...

She said while looking at the picture in her hand...

“Has anyone called you asking about the hotel?!”

"No one has called yet."

She put the picture back in her wallet and closed it.

"I rented small houses, but no one called me to ask about the hotel. If no one rents it, the company I work for will have to lower its price."

"Wooooooow."

Lilia interrupted her, forgetting the sensitive topic they were discussing, which means a lot to Kiara, and she signaled her to look.

"Look behind you at those handsome men who have just entered; I think they've lost their way!"

Chiara turned to look behind her at the three tall and handsome men in suits with long black coats sitting at a table across from the restaurant.

Chiara asked herself, is it possible that they wanted to buy Santiago Restaurant? Chiara kept looking at them even though the air obstructed her sight when her hair strands flew from the cold sea air in front of her wide blue eyes...

two men with brown hair and the third with short blond hair,

One of the two men with long brown hair arranged symmetrically backwards. I noticed how his brown eyes, with her serious and sharp looks, were examining the place around him. She asked herself, is he waiting for anyone?!

If he does not wait for anyone, he is strange and raises doubts and suspicions!

Because it is impossible for a man like him to be interested in buying a small restaurant! Guys like that wouldn't be interested in investing in a small shop selling antiques and souvenirs!!!

Lily spoke with a smile.

"It's a pity that I have a boyfriend!"

Kiara smiled and did not look at Lilia; she was still looking at this strange man.

Such men surely have mistresses and girlfriends.

As she was speaking, the man looked directly into her eyes, and their gazes met. His eyes seemed as if he had seen something amazing, but he did not smile or express any feelings at all but kept exchanging deep looks.

Kiara smiled at him, blushing, her cheeks reddened, and he turned quickly to look at Lilia, embarrassed that he noticed her looking at him closely.

The look and dress of these two men with brown hair remind her of people who always visited her father. They always had these serious looks on their faces without any smiles or any feelings. Kiara was disappointed and disappointed!
