How To Break An Alpha On Ice: His Curved XL Mate

I hate them weak: the heroine of the story. I was one in mine but never again! I had vowed that until I stumbled upon an annoying book. A chubby weak heroine brutally rejected by her mate, the arrogant Alpha. “If I were that Luna, I would make that Alpha beg on his knees—on and off the ice.” I typed bitterly. But the universe mocked me, it made a”bet” with me and the next morning, I woke up in the webtoon as Avri, the weak heroine. Would I truly be able to bend the arrogant Alpha Killian on his knees? Who would win, the universe or I ? What Ancient secret lies between Alpha Killian and i?

Chapter 3

Ava’s POV

“You are grounded for the rest of the month!” The scary woman shouted.

She opened Avri’s room door for me to walk in.

“Just grounded? I thought the plan was to kill me.”

She rolled her eyes and scoffed, “Kill you! what are you talking about?” She said with a confused expression.

“Never mind.” I said and cleared my throat.

I still have no idea where she fits in the story but I have been grounded in the past and the only one capable of doing that is my uncle that raised me. She must be Avri’s mother but damn! She is so gorgeous.

“Can i have more food brought up here, I mean, getting rejected had given me a ravaging appetite…mum.” I said with pleading eyes.

“Mum?” The woman gave me a disgusting look, “Don’t you see yourself? What stunning man in his right senses would choose a pig as his Luna?”

“And what is with the*mum* Avri, you don’t call me mum! What changed today?”

I have been caught! How do I escape this?

“Well, I guess I got emotional today.” I said and pulled down my expression. I tried to fake some tears unfortunately my tear gland was malfunctioning. The tears wouldn’t even form at all.

“Whatever!” She said and walked away after slamming the door on my face.

Now I was right back in the exact room where I had initially woken up.

I think I am done with my mission here, ofcourse, I had rejected Alpha Killian back. Now let’s return home.

I lay back on the bed and closed my eyes,

Nothing happened!

Maybe I didn’t lay the right way, I turned around to my left..

A loud bang on the door brought me out of my foolishness. I reluctantly got off the bed sweating profusely. The stupid dress was too heavy and ugly. I made for the door and opened it.

Damn!

What a fucking dream come true. A whole fucking food tray. Avri sure was lucky, at least, she was born wealthy enough.

“The Luna ordered that I bring you food.” The maid from earlier said, “Accept my sympathy about your rejection, Alpha Killian is hard to impress but….”

I didn’t wait to hear her sermon, I was already tearing off the chicken flesh. Even in my worst imagination, I dare not be a vegetarian.

“If you need someone to talk to Avri, know that I am always available.”

Oh! Now it occurred to me. Avri would have been wallowing in self pity right now and getting consoled by some maid whose name I didn’t remember from the webtoon but as for me, I would rather continue devouring my chicken lap.

“Thank you, you can go.” I responded calmly. The maid kept staring at me before she finally walked away and slammed my bedroom door.

Ofcourse I didn’t remember her name from the webtoon but I knew she was Amanda’s spy, silly little snitch!

The first day was fun, so was the next and the next but after a week, it turned to premium tears for me.

When I was grounded in the past, my uncle was lenient enough to release me on the third day but here, werewolves were fucking mean parents!

I miss my life, I missed hockey and I desperately wished to return to my life. I do not mind my neighbors fucking and yelling every damn night, I do not care if i spend the next four years celebrating my heartbreak every damn night.

I give up! Totally.

I started searching through the room for anything, anything that could keep me busy. I hadn’t seen any of Avri’s family since Killian’s rejection, just the maids, i have no faintiest idea of how her father’s pack is dealing with this situation.

With more vigorous effort, I found out something, Avri had a fucking laptop! It hadn’t occurred to me in anyway, I mean, I knew this webtoon was of the modern setting but a laptop! A total game changer.

I might finally figure out my way home.

I switched the laptop on, thankfully, it was fully functional. I switched on the Internet and it connected to the family Wi-Fi, how amazing. I searched for the webtoon site.

I kept tapping my feet impatiently on the floor as it took forever to load, when it finally clicked, I drew my face closer to the screen to read its contents,

The search page doesn’t exist.

Wonderful!

I searched other webtoon sites including my shopping sites, all of them didn’t exist.

Back to square one.

I was pissed! Really pissed and I had to direct the anger to someone else. I hated Avri’s family for locking me up here, I hated Avri for being such a clumsy pushover but my greatest hate belongs to Alpha Killian, if he hadn’t rejected Avri harshly, I wouldn’t have made that damn bet and end up here in the first place.

In my story, Alpha Killian was the total villain.

After sulking for many more days, I started scrolling through the laptop, in order to understand this life better. There were so many interesting informations but my focus had been on pack politics and of course hockey.

I found out something interesting, Alpha Killian was a hockey captain of the Frozen Blades. An all male hockey championship team. Finally, I found out something we have in common.

I searched the whole internet for any information about Frozen Blades, there were enough articles about them, especially about their sexy stunning captain, i rolled my eyes at that. I am sure he was popular with the girls, that jerk!

I was about switching off the internet when a notification popped up on the screen, a newsletter I had subscribed to,

A new article was released:

“Frozen Blades set to recruit a new team member to replace one of their that left them for a rival pack.”

I laughed hysterically staring at Alpha Killian’s picture on the screen, his kissable lip curled in a smug way,

What a freaking coincidence,

Luck was definitely on my playlist, now my boredom can be quenched. I got up on my feet and dusted my dress

Let’s go be a boy.

Author's note: Ava got grounded, fat-shamed, trauma-dumped, ignored, and STILL managed to steal chicken and Wi-Fi in the same chapter 😭🍗💻. And now she’s about to become a whole boy just to play hockey. I’m not writing a novel anymore; I’m babysitting a certified menace

The air at Moonstone Territory crackled with anticipation as our convoy arrived. Three months pregnant, I felt a rare sense of peace, one hand resting protectively over my slightly rounded belly as I stepped from the car. My wolf, Victoria, purred contentedly within me, sharing my quiet joy. "Luna Victoria!" Several Silvermoon delegates rushed forward, bowing respectfully. "You're radiant today." I smiled, accepting their compliments with a graceful nod. My aura—stronger since my pregnancy—rippled around me in waves of silver light that even humans might have sensed had they been present. "Where is Alpha Michael?" I asked, scanning the gathering crowd. "Already at the ceremonial grounds, Luna," replied a young warrior, his eyes darting away too quickly. Something cold slithered down my spine. Victoria growled softly in my mind, suddenly alert.

The nursery was the only place in the Pack House where the air didn’t feel like it was choking me. It was a small room on the third floor, far away from the Alpha’s luxurious suite—the suite that should have been mine by right, but was currently occupied by a woman who wasn't. "Mama, look," Tommy whispered, holding up a drawing. It was a crude, crayon depiction of a large black wolf standing next to a smaller, golden one. "That's Daddy. And that's me." My heart clenched, a familiar, dull ache that had been my constant companion for seven years. Tommy had never seen Remington’s wolf form up close. My mate, Alpha Remington Stevens, barely looked at our son, let alone shifted for him. To Remington, Tommy was just a reminder of a political shackle he was desperate to break. To me, Tommy was the only reason I was still breathing.

The dress was ivory. Not white — ivory. Apparently there's a difference when you're being mated off to the Alpha of the most powerful pack on the East Coast. I didn't pick it. I didn't pick the flowers, the venue, or the three hundred wolves filling the Ironveil Pack's ceremonial hall like it was some kind of political concert. My mother picked the dress. My father picked the date. And somewhere in between, they picked my entire future without asking me once. But I didn't know that yet. Not at the altar.

I stared at my reflection in the mirror, tracing the mate mark on my neck that had brought me nothing but pain for seven years. The mark that should have been a symbol of love and devotion had instead become a brand of rejection. "Luna Elena?" My handmaiden's voice pulled me from my thoughts. "There's news from the pack gathering." I turned, smoothing my expression into the neutral mask I'd perfected over years of public humiliation. "What is it, Lily?" She hesitated, her eyes darting nervously to the door. "The Alpha has purchased an extravagant diamond necklace for Scarlett. It's said to be worth more than our annual pack budget for healing supplies." My stomach clenched. Another gift for his chosen mate, another public declaration of his obsession. "There's more," Lily whispered, stepping closer. "He plans to present it to her at the upcoming pack gathering, in front of all the allied packs." The room seemed to tilt slightly.

The first sensation was smell—antiseptic mixed with something floral and wrong. My eyelids fluttered open, revealing an unfamiliar ceiling. Not my bedroom. Not my packhouse. My fingers twitched against crisp sheets. Hospital sheets. "She's waking up," a voice murmured nearby. "Get the sedative ready." I tried to lift my hand, but my limbs felt like lead. Three years. Three years I'd been lying here, trapped in darkness, while the world continued without me.
