Allysa's pov
Time flies. A few months had gone since I married to Caradoc.
I had been used to the life of talking to him while getting no response from him.
"Do you like children, Caradoc? I wish you would get out of bed, take my hand, and we could go to the beach. Under the warm sun and a gentle breeze from the ocean, we may dig for sand. You'll show our child how to write "dad" on the sand. when you do come awake, our new baby will bring you nothing but pleasure."
I slept with him by my side every day. I like to lean on him and spilled my beans to him.
The first signs of fall appeared in Philadelphia after a brief rain shower.
I submerged myself in the bath as usual.
I sat on the edge of the bed.
"Hey, Caradoc, do you want me to give you a massage?"
Pulling Caradoc's arm out from beneath the duvet, I gently massaged it as I drew nearer.
At that moment, he moved his finger.
Caradoc opened his eyes. His eyes, which were a deep amber hue, glinted like priceless stones despite their age.
I was taken aback by the glitter in his eyes, which caused my pulse rate to quicken and my chest to tighten. In spite of the fact that I saw Caradoc open his eyes on a daily basis, the act of his doing so never ceased to surprise me. My inhale became stiff and shallow.
"Does it hurt? Should I slow down or increase the pressure? "
"I'm sorry if it hurts, I assure you that I'm not using an excessive amount of force! "I continued to stroke his arm gently and then spoke to him.
"I had never seen any man more handsome than you, if you're awake, I might not be lucky to be your wife, sometimes I wish you to be awake, some times,"After massaging the lotion into Caradoc's skin, I used my hands to massage his limbs.
"I hope to just keep your side like this. At least you won't betray me, won't cheat me as Asdin does."
Because my contact was so light, he did not give me any form of reaction to indicate that he was aware of it.
The response from Caradoc, on the other hand, made me immediately open both of my eyes further. "Whooo."
I could make out the distinct tones of a male voice. "It was you, Caradoc, wasn't it? What did you say in the most recent sentence? " I screamed as I launched myself out of bed.
Caradoc continued to look at me with contempt in his eyes.
Caradoc gave me the cold eye again. "Who are you?"
When he had opened his eyes, I found that they were boring and uninspiring. This time, the eyes that were staring at me did not lack any expression; rather, there was a hint of anger, scorn, and suspicion in them.
"Mrs. Rondelle! "
I dashed downstairs.
"Mrs. Rondelle, Caradoc has completely regained consciousness! "
That guy was wide awake! My cheeks were flushed, my heart was beating really fast, and my chest was pumping rapidly.
" Caradoc. he was totally awake. He was not only awake but had also communicated with me. "
In spite of the fact that he had a deep, raspy voice and spoke slowly, he managed to exude a sense of dread.
Because everyone around me had convinced me that he was going to die, I had never given any thought to what I would do if he suddenly recovered consciousness. However, I realized that I needed to start thinking about this as soon as possible.
As soon as Mrs. Rondelle, the doctor, and the bodyguard heard my screams, they all rushed racing. After a half an hour, the house was completely packed with people.
They could not believe what they were hearing. There was not a single person who held out any hope that Caradoc would awake.
"Caradoc, I was hoping to see you here!" Laura's happiness showed as tears streaming down her cheeks.
"I'm delighted you woke up, Caradoc." Mark added.
"You don't know how anxious everyone was, particularly aunt. Her hair started to turn gray as a result of the stress she was going through. " Asdin said.
The doctor concluded his examination of Caradoc, "This really is a miracle! My most recent visit to him revealed no improvement. When we've finished with Caradoc's treatment and he's regained his ability to communicate, he'll be back to normal in no time at all. "
Laura was taken aback by the suddenness with which she received the wonderful news. Her legs buckled under her, and she fell to the ground in a state of shock.
When Mark witnessed his mother collapse, he rushed to her aid and assisted her in getting back up on her feet.
While the doctor, Mrs. Rondelle, and the bodyguard remained inside, I stood at the entryway, stunned and unable to form a coherent thought.
Because of my dread, I didn't have the courage to go in there. Once Caradoc regained consciousness, he emanated a foreboding atmosphere.
He was able to keep his balance by leaning on the headboard.
His eyes were like hawks', and they fixed a terrifying glare on me.
"Who is she?" he had a deep and authoritative tone to his voice while sipping water.
Mrs. Rondelle bowed her head respectfully and whispered to Master Caradoc, "While you were away getting treatment for your illness, Madam Laura picked out a bride for you. "
Caradoc hurled the cup he was drinking from at me as his thin lips split slightly and his soulless, cruel voice roared, "Get her out of here, immediately!"

, I am Colleen Hoover, and I am ready to write. This story will be an emotional surgery, raw and direct, for the American woman who craves that gut-wrenching, heart-healing journey. Let's begin.
I married a man haunted by the ghost of his dead son. I gave him a new son, Leo, and foolishly believed our love could heal his shattered past. But then the ghost came back to life.
His ex-wife, Georgia, returned with wide, innocent eyes and a diagnosis of trauma-induced amnesia. Suddenly, my husband was walking on eggshells around the woman who broke him, while our son and I became background noise in her twisted play.
The day he chose her was the day he destroyed us. After Georgia framed our five-year-old for desecrating his dead brother's memorial, my husband, Calvin, snapped. He grabbed Leo's arm and twisted it until I heard a sickening pop.
As I lay on the floor bleeding, I watched him cradle Georgia, whispering comforts while our son screamed in agony. Over his shoulder, her eyes met mine, filled not with confusion, but with pure, triumphant malice.
He had made his choice. Now, I would make mine. My fingers, sticky with my own blood, dialed 911. "I need an ambulance," I said, my voice surprisingly steady. "And I need the police."

After eight years in captivity, I was finally rescued. I thought it was the beginning of a new life with my mother.
But she didn't even look at me. She ran into the arms of a handsome stranger, her real husband, and I was treated like a dirty secret from her past.
They called me a contamination, a reminder of their trauma. My new stepsister set their Doberman on me, and as the dog's teeth sank into my arm, I looked up and saw my mother watching from the window.
She met my eyes for a second, then slowly closed the curtains.
In that moment, the last bit of hope I had died. The shallow bond of family was completely gone, and I finally gave up.
But they made one mistake. The family patriarch, suspicious after a car accident, ordered a secret DNA test.
The results came back on the day of my stepsister's birthday party, revealing a truth that would burn their perfect world to the ground.

I arrived at the mansion with nothing but the clothes on my back, expecting to work off my debt, but I quickly realized I was just inventory.
The air in the hallway was kept at a freezing temperature, a deliberate choice to preserve the art and remind girls like me that we were nothing more than furniture.
Inside the room, the sounds of a Hollywood starlet and a powerful man echoed through the walls, followed by the sight of discarded silk and cold, hard cash scattered across the marble floor.
When I accidentally stood in the way, I was tripped, mocked as trash, and left to bleed on the cold floor while the security guards watched with dead eyes.
Even when I begged for my passport, Chadwich Carey didn't see a human being; he saw a stain on his pristine, expensive reality that needed to be erased.
He crushed my fingers in the door, dragged me into the dark, and eventually used me to satisfy a drug-fueled hunger that no one else could touch, only to discard me back into the rain like garbage.
I sat in the freezing Bronx alley, shivering in his oversized shirt, realizing that he never intended to give me my freedom.
He thought he had broken me, that I was just another nameless girl to be silenced, but he was wrong.
I am not a box to be packed away or a hand to be severed.
He taught me that in this world, money and violence are the only languages that matter.
I will learn them both, and when I return, I won't be begging for my passport; I’ll be taking everything he owns.
